The Start of The Destroyers Started by: AlessandraKorkunova on Aug 08, '19 07:12

On the hottest of summer days and in the midst of violent attacks initially caused by a rogue, Alessandra Korkunova stood forlorn in an empty building. It was unfurnished and abandoned by the previous owners. A plumbing business that simply ran out of funds to keep existing. It took a little convincing from Drax apparently, but it got sold by him in the end. She looked around her and for the first time in a while a small smile appeared on her lips.

She knew that Drax was out in the big world, doing what leaders do and he’d probably be so tired by the time he got back so she took it upon her to fix this place up. This place wasn’t just going to be any place though – it was going to be the main headquarters for Drax’s crew, The Destroyers. Only four people in the crew so far but she was determined to see the numbers grow as time went on. She did wish that she had people to help her but alas everyone was out, busy, so she went ahead and hired some designers and builders to help her.

When they arrived, they were all looked tired for some reason, so she offered to give them some cold drinks. Thank goodness that it helped because then they actually started to look interested on the job. “Yes, over there would be fine. Yup. Oh shi-... Be careful please.” Two men were helping each other carry a large glass desk and it almost hit an expensive statue nearby, one she placed an order for few days ago. She wasn’t prepared to go out and buy another one. A lot of money was being spent on HQ forts alone.

She had already told them what she wanted the place to look like. Well actually what she said was – “just make it look nice. Okay? I will pay handsomely for your efforts, boys.” They didn’t seem too happy with her vagueness but they proceeded anyway. With enough blood, sweat and tears, they finally finished just before midnight came. Drax still wasn’t here but Alessandra didn’t worry. He’s probably still busy and doing things that leaders do. There was still lots to do, too.

Alessandra Korkunova gave her first impressions when she walked through the entrance doors of the building. She had just come back from a coffee date by herself and she was pleased to see that the boys seemed to be enjoying themselves more than she had enjoyed her cappuccino. One of them wiped a little sweat from their forehead with a small towel, another guy was helping himself to a cold drink and some other guy was doing the final touches on a wall of neon green paint. She pat the main guy on the back and gave a smile after touring the new place. “Thank you. You’ll be happy to know that my accountant has already sent out the money to each of your respective bank accounts. Have a good day.”

After everyone was dismissed, Alessandra began to find herself drifting off to sleep in one of the new leather couches. Before sleep took over, she thought about the future and what it would bring for her, Drax and everyone involved with The Destroyers.

We shall see, she thought to herself.

to be continued. teehee.

And finally after a good night's rest, Alessandra Korkunova was already up and running with a long list of errands to do. First was to fetch a package from the local post office, second thing was to send back a few telegrams to some close friends and the third was to make dinner reservation with a potential client. In the midst of being overwhelemed and quite busy she couldn't help but realize a note someone had left at the front entrance. The words were facing down so she picked up the note and slowly began to drag her curious eyebrows uip when she started reading:

LivingADream cannot fathom why this would be continued. Nevertheless, he was amused. This want to be mobster got the true meanig of Omerta twisted.

Alessandra couldn't roll her eyes harder than she just did. Things like this would always happen around here so she wasn't surprised, just disappointed that out of all the days - some stupid troll had to ruin her morning that day. Instead of lingering on the thought, she crunched up the paper into a ball and threw it into a trashcan in her office. She blew out a breath of frustration and tried to exhale some positivity. She whipped her head around when she heard some movement outside her office. She walked out not expecting to see much but was instantly filled with joy at the sight of not one, not two, but THREE new recruits into the family. So now currently these are the people that represent The Destroyers and Alessandra couldn't be more happy:

Drax | AlessandraKorkunova | HanzoHasashi | Kali | Harlow | Kimbo | ShaneVanBoening

Rushing over, her smile would grow wider and wider until her cheeks started to hurt. She greeted everyone individually. Hopefully she didn't scare or shock anyone with her bubbliness.  "Welcome Harlow," she said. Her eyes were drawn to her pretty hair and her unbelivably flawless complexion. She felt somewhat belittled by the effect she had on her but she was probably just tense since it was their first meeting. Things would hopefully change once everyone was settled down. When she saw Shane she waved him over to the welcome party. This guy left a really good first impression on her and she wouldn't forget the things she said.

"Make yourself at home Shane. If you need anything just let me know."

The next new recruit was Hanzo. He was actually recommended by Wayne, and of course, she would take Wayne's word over her own so with great persistence she got a hold of Hanzo and invited him in. She smiled and offered him to take a seat somewhere if he wanted to. "Go on ahead and lift your legs up. Make yourself comfy." Alessandra took pride in how hospitable she could be. And she smiled as she started to imagine all the possible scenarious that could happen during everyone's stay here. Friendly misadventures? Chaotic trouble? Who knows?

She said a quick hello to Drax - being busy like always - Kali and Kimbo before going on her way out the door. "Errands. Be right back."

It was the start of another day at The Destroyers headquarters. Yesterday's list of errands completed. She can definitely tick off the dinner reservation one. The chat with the supplier went smoothly and now the family would be getting supplied with tons of narcotics shipped directly to them, but of course - it came with a price. All is well though. Rest assured that all Alessandra had to do was talk the walk and sway the man to lower the charging prices. He was a little stubborn at first but eventually she got the boat rocking.

She was standing over ShaneVanBoening, just having a casual chat and enjoying the company of a fellow family member. "So, you're american born and raised? I actually moved here to the US all the way from the Philippines." She nodded as she continued to chat back and forth with him. She sighed dreamily as she took a sip of her iced coffee. Perfect for this kind of stupid hot weather. She smiled and raised her iced coffee towards him when she started the sense that the conversation was fading out. "Welp, I'm going to enjoy this iced coffee before the afternoon starts. Catch you later."

She looked out the window as her back was leaned against a wall. Another list of errands to do that day. Drax was nowhere to be seen. But that's okay. Maybe soon she'll get a hold of him. She started to walk over to the brown notice board in the main living room and smiled happily as she noticed that someone had posted a personal introduction of themselves. She decided to do the same thing and wrote some stuff on a yellow sticky note before pinning it under a laminated poster labeled with the word 'Introductions?'

That notice board was pretty much one of the many ways that crew members could communicate with each other. The HQ crew board, if you will. If a member wanted to let others know about an upcoming event? Put it up on the notice board? Heard something about a job heist that needs more people? Put it up on the notice board? It was great use because it kept the communicating flowing. However whatever that was stuck on the notice board would've had to be been approved by Drax or herself.

"Oh," she muttered to herself. Before she even checked she knew that Drax probably had so much letters and telegrams and whatever in his mailbox. She raised her eyebrows as fake surprise when she walked into his office and saw his desk overflooded with papers and envelopes. "Oh nice, more mail for me to organize and sift through." It wasn't as bad as the first day though. All the letters of congratulations was more mail than she had ever seen in her life. Drax is fucking popular, Alessandra thought to herself with a smirk. She organized the mail in terms of their subject heading and also separated them based on who was the sender. All telegrams from Las Vegas are priority.

When she finally finished she even took the time to clean up his desk a little bit. Having things all over the place tended to make her brain overwhelmed and panicky.

Later during the day she decided to approach an old friend with a job that they could help each other on.

Another day at the headquarters and she had one of the busiest mornings ever. Having to go back and forth between two different locations after there was a mishap on the first visit to the drug warehouse. But now everything was sorted and she was in her office once again sorting through her boss' mails. She couldn't help but collapse into Drax's swirly office chair when she was finally done, spun herself around with her feet and sighed tiredly. Well I better get back to work before any of the members catch me slacking. I'm supposed to be setting an example, remember Alessandra?

She skipped out of Drax's office and closed the door behind her. She didn't know why she was in such a... shitty mood. Well, she did forget to have her coffee fix so maybe that was part of the reason but usually she was so upbeat in the mornings. Like she could walk on lightning. Right in that moment she felt like someone was bashing a hammer against her skull. As if her morning couldn't get any better. A slight headache. Soooo great. She then went over to check that everything in her office was in order. She hated to come back to a messy office. Then she bid farewell to her family for a quick lunch date by herself.

She was never big into iced coffees but it seemed appropriate for the extremely hot and humid weather. There was a cute little cafe just a five minute walk from the headquarters. She walked along the footpath as she held onto her black over-the-shoulder purse, her feet leading her to the desired destination - Coffee Hub. It was pretty much the only place she'd go to if she wanted to eat out for lunch. Even though they were named 'Coffee Hub', they had everything that Alessandra could ever ask for. Her go to meal for lunch was usually a chicken ceasar salad but she decided on a mini chocolate croissant instead with a medium iced coffee.

While enjoying her lunch as she sat at a vacant table by the window, she was not expecting to meet a familiar face. The tall figure was towering over her. "Ally?" He spoke in a low and assuring tone. As if he wanted to quickly remind her that he hadn't forgotten about her yet. Meanwhile, Alessandra was still in her own world so she almost jumped out of her chair when she looked up to the voice that spoke. She tried to finish the last bit of croissant that was in her mouth but almost choked. She coughed a few times, cleared her throat and wiped the sides of her mouth with a napkin. Did she even remember his name anymore? She looked at him and tilted her head slightly, smiling so hard that her teeth were grinding against each other. Shit... Alex? Brad? Damien? This is awkward.

"Cody?" She smiled harder so that her cheekbones were exclusively showing. But the smile didn't reach her eyes. He chuckled and slid in the seat across from her. "Yeah, how are you?"

"Splendid."

"You don't seem very happy to see me."

"What would I be happy for? You left me years ago without an explanation, which for your information, tore me apart and to put it simply I'm not the same girl I was before."

Her mood seemed to skyrocket from there. She was livid. She didn't want to cause a scene, but she did. Without even waiting for him to respond, she dropped a wad of cash onto her plate and grabbed her purse. She was out of the store before he could even muster up a good enough response for his actions in the past. As she began to walk away, she started to feel the wetness on her cheeks. He let such a good thing go and now it's too late.

She came back to the headquarters and tried to busy herself as much as possible. Whether it was cleaning her office, responding back to mails or managing the finances of the crew. She was doing so well until the evening came when everyone was ready to go to bed. She approached her car and sat into the drivers seat. Locked the doors. Then she banged her head against the middle of her steering wheel. Take me somewhere far away.

The first thing that Alessandra Korkunova thought of when she woke up the next morning was her family. Whenever she thought of her family, she felt happy and content. When she walked into the main headquarters of The Destroyers, she greeted those she saw with a delightful smile and even made some people a cup of coffee, whoever wanted one. She made friendly conversation with Kali, asking her how her day was. Alessandra sometimes didn't know what Kali was up to these days but she knew that she was probably keeping herself busy. As Alessandra was having her morning coffee fix, she looked at the walls around her and saw that the renovations for the headquarters were finally completed.

Then Alessandra looked at was on her agenda for the day. Her writing was scribbled and rush. Oh well. Thank goodness she's the only person who has to look at it.

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Alessandra's Daily Planner ♥

  • Morning Meeting with some VIP (discussing some shit)
  • Visit the local homeless shelter
  • View past, current and upcoming crew expenses
  • Shooting range training
  • Daily declutter of Drax's office as well as my own
  • Doctors appointment to check general health (ewwww)

She blew out a tired breath and threw her coffee cup into a nearby trashcan. Now it was time to get work and quit slacking. She was usually a slacker... but now that she was a right hand for Drax she had to set an example. Before she met Drax she had never been so busy like she was now. She checked on her reflection in a mirror as she was walking down a brightly lit corridor, heading to the main conference room to discuss some stuff. Business meeting, if you will. Don't trip, Alessandra. Don't trip. Some people's heads looked up when they heard a set of heels clacking against the tile flooring in the meeting room.

"Hey guyssss," she waved happily as she slid into a vacant swivel chair. There was a long narrow glass table in the middle of the room and black swivel chairs neatly positioned around it except for the high black executive office chair that sat at one end of the table that was closest to the window. That seat was for Drax. On the table some people had placed their folders, documents, coffee cups and penvil holders. This area was very corporate-style. As such, everyone seemed to maintain a serious composure during the meetings that were held there. Alessandra waited for everyone to settle in comfortably before she grabbed everyone's attention.

Once settled in, she smiled softly and gave a brief nod to her peers. "Well then, hope everyone's morning is going good. As you can probably tell Drax is not here so I'll be filling in for him today. I have a list of the agenda for what should be discussed so I advise you all to please listen and maybe even contribute to the discussion. Shall we begin?" She pulled out some papers from her leather office bag and shuffled them in front of her. She went through the first meeting agenda topic, which was to review the core values of the family and make sure that everyone was on the same page. It was good to keep the people on their toes. The next topic was the goals and opportunities of what the family would be able to achieve in the coming months.

Alessandra butted into the discussion as she thought about a recent chat she had. "I also just want to bring up the fact that we could potentially be entering the global market. There are some stuff in the works for that but more details will be revealed in the next meeting we have. And if this does go well, we could be looking at increasing the money coming in. Anyways, more details on that soon. Let's continue with this meeting." She sat back into her seat and sighed. Meetings were mentally exhausting. So many things to discuss... So much to do...  So little time. That's how it was these days. Before the meeting ended, progress of recruiting was discussed. It was an area that Alessandra seemed very proud of. And now with Kali's recent promotion to being a sponsor, Alessandra was sure to see results.

The day continued and Alessandra completed the list of things that remained on her daily planner.
