Roger stumbles and makes his way up on a soapbox, he looks out and clears his throat.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to throw my hat into the mix."

The crowd goes silent, one could almost hear a cricket fart.

"First and foremost, I'm not good at speeches so bear with me, I would love the oppertunity to help build a city from scratch, I've been around for many years and have been a leader before and once Godfather, so if I get a chance you wont be sending in someone with at least a little bit of knowledge."

Roger looks around a bit.

"I will only make one promise, and that is that I'll do my best to make the city grow and help people build for the future. I think it would be a great chance to work together with new and old people and build bonds. I don't know what more to say except I want this and I wanna see the city of Chicago grow and become great again, I think I got what it takes, so with that I'm gonna stop rambling before someone kicks me off the stage."

Roger steps down from his box, hoping someone heard what he had to say.

"Truly good words my man and you got my support to this since I think your an awesome person that deserves this truly"

He lights up a smoke and slowly moves away from this area so he wouldnt bother other with his smoke.

Avard finished listening to Emily-Renfoe's speech and moved on to catch Kinky_Roger's. He was glad he didn't miss it, although also beyond devastated that it wasn't just 10 minutes of dancing, which would have earned his non-existent vote hands down. When Roger's effort was finished and definitely not going to result in a disco encore, Avard had a question.

You're a great dancer and I'm wholly jealous of your magnificent rhythm, which I spend a disproportionate amount of my time studying.

With that said, what are you going to do with this opportunity that is different to say, Wayne choosing to put one of his own people into Chicago? You admit that you're not good with speeches, although this was fine by my reckoning, so why try to achieve your own organisation through the Soapbox entry route, which is emphasising that?

The bits you've told us about are all fine, but I don't really know much about what you're intending to do or how you would actually do it.

Roger puts on a little dance for dramatic effect.

"Sometimes you gotta go outside your comfort zone, so I wrote up a speech. Sometimes when a oppertunity is presented it never hurts to try."

"As to what I would do, I'd do my best to help out anyone that would wish to join, and build a family with hard work and dedication. I'm not sure if that answers your question or not, but at least it's an answer."

It certainly is, and, perhaps more importantly, you did a little jig, which earns a good luck with your endeavours from me.
