Rennie walks into the streets and places a soapbox on the ground "Ladies and gentlemen please may I have your attention" Rennie pauses for effect and pulls out a large skillet and wooden spoon "We simply do not have enough chefs in this thing of ours I wish to take the city of Chicago and transform it into a culinary delight that pleases all of the senses" Rennie strikes the skillet with the wooden spoon, My father was a great man he strode into the city of New York and started training chefs there they prospered learned to be respectful and enjoyed the heavy work load " Rennie thanks people for listening 

Sam was listening to another soapbox speech, as this competition had brought all the orators to the forefront. It was something that interested him and made him very keen to listen to how the orators developed and presented their arguments to the council. He listened to the young culinary mind and made his way to the forefront. 

Good talk there young chef. The idea of a culinary city certainly tinkers my fancy. But this is a orator competition after all. Lets hear a bit more meat to what you prepare to bring to the table, so to speak. How would you running a culinary city, help or add to the La Cosa Nostra as we see it? How would you taking a city, add to the leadership that currently holds the cities underworld together. Progressing, prospering, moving forward towards a better future. Certainly, there is more to running an organization and a city than running a few soup kitchens or even a chain of fine restaurants. 

Rennie listens to SamDarnold speak and lights a cigarette "well to answer your questions my good man" Rennie nods "What I bring to the chopping block is hard work, respect for others, knowledge of running a city" Rennie taps the cigarette out "Running a kitchen and running a family of mobsters is also pretty similar we all drink, curse and have some type of scam or scams running if it isn't dice on the kitchen floor its supplying and receiving drugs in produce shipments. And I guess working with knives and fire is a bonus

Rennie went for a small hip flask from inside his jacket and takes a large swig "my plan for the future is to take young mafioso equip them with values and a good hard working ethic. And I would look forward to working with all of the other cities like as I have done before in this little thing of ours"

Jimmy listens to this chef talk about what he would do.

"Man this is by far the weakest of all the applications, I would really like to see you put forth some effort because I've seen what your line has done in the past. I'd like to see them do it again!"

Rennie usually isnt one to mince his words but he guesses the proof is in the pudding

"Giving me a chance is giving Chicago a shot at success lets make Chicago great again"

CLO stands in the crowd as he listens to Rennie's speech. After the speech was finished, CLO decides to go over to Rennie for a chat.

"Hi Rennie. My first thought while listening to this speech made me uncertain whether this was a serious attempt or not to become a leader in Chicago. I've walked around the streets and listened to the other speeches, some long, some short but all seemed like a serious attempt to put in a good application to become a leader in Chicago, with this speech im not sure to be honest. Pardon me if I didn`t understood the point you were making with your speech. I haven't had the chance to get to know you, but I overheard the conversation you had with Jimmy. He had only praise to say about your fathers. And you probably have qualities that can benefit the city of Chicago. I wish this came out more clearly in your speech, and some points as to why you should be a leader of Chicago would be appreciated. Either way Rennie, I wish you all the best for the future & good luck with the election. 

CLO lit up a smoke and walked over to the nearest bar to wait for the results for who would become the next CH leaders.
