Limo's arrive by the dozens at the Grand Hotel in Orange County just minutes outside of LA. The banquet hall is filled with men of honor; Cross adjust his tie before stepping up to the podium. He clears his throat before speaking, his mind transfixed on all the things that got him to today's event. Looking over the large crowd he smiles and then looks at his suit. Then gaze's back at the crowd as he and exhales slowly regaining his composure. He thinks to a pin point moment back to when he stepped off the boat and was greeted by a young man in a gray silk suit. That man got him started in this business and helped him grow. Cross looks into the eyes of his former underboss SousChef nodding at him with respect and SousChef nodding back at him with a proud grin. Then Cross smiles at the audience as he refocuses on today's event.


First I would like to thank my Don, Don Charlie Croker and his upper echelon for putting there trust in me. I would like to thank my mentor, my boss and dear friend Opus. These individuals have entrusted me with a great opportunity, a place of honor and tremendous responsibility that I will never take lightly. They have made leadership look easy therefore I know that within them I have great teachers. I swear that I shall do all that I can to bring honor to them and this city, I take this position vowing to never forget that it was them that gave me this opportunity and it is them that shall forever have my loyalty. I will do all that I can to ensure that their faith in me is not misplaced.

Cross looks at his Don and his boss as they both nod with approval. Then refocuses on the crowd of distinguish guest.

I would also like to thank the Godfather's from as far away as NY, Chicago, St Louis, Detroit and all the Dons from across this great country of ours. I know that not everyone could be here today but never the less I understand that important business precludes them from attending. I look forward to doing business with you all. I will continue to conduct myself in an honorable fashion just as my Godfather and Don have. I want to thank all the members from all the families for coming out here today. You represent your families with honor and it is a heartfelt thanks that I give to you all today.

Once again he refocuses as he exhales softly.

Thank you for coming out on the greatest day of my life, I truly appreciate the support. I am pleased to be a part of LA's growth, this is a great organization and Orange County will always be a clean well maintain suburb of Los Angeles where friends are always welcome. With that said, please enjoy the party eat, drink and be marry; enjoy the city. Once again I truly appreciate everyone that was able to come out celebrate with us.

Cross nods to the crowd as he steps down from the stage. Champagne quarks burst, the sound of popping quarks echo throughout the hall and glasses are filled. Cross then starts greeting and shaking hands while passing out cigars to everyone that he comes in contact with.

Mave waits patiently, knowing she'll get her chance to congratulate her dear friend once the crowd thins out a bit. Until then, she sits back with a bottle of rum and a shotglass, not really caring for the taste of champane, and watches the excitement unfold around her.

Cross spots Mave in the crowd and makes his way towards her.

Thanks for coming, I glad you made it back in time. I truely appreciate all your support. also I wanted to let you know how proud and happy I am for you.

Mave smiles, trying to hide a blush that could very well have been caused by the alcohol.

I couldn't have done it without you. Honestly, how could I take your place if you were still in it?

She nods her head toward Cross and smiles.

Congratulations on being kicked out of the nest. I wish you and yours luck and look forward to wroking with you.

Stranger who had been standing close by grins and pours a few drinks for everyone.

Congratulations Cross. I'm sure you deserve this opportunity and will do well with it.  

Cross smiles as he speaks with Ms. Molson and Stranger knowing without there support he could not have received this oppourtunity.

Thank you both. I look forward to working with you also. I will always be there whenever you call. I truely want to thank you both once again for your support in making this happen.

Again, I am proud of you to say the least. You deserve this and you got it. You worked hard for Opus and Los Angeles and you get your own Crew.

I can't wait to start working with you man. We can help make this city even greater.

Psychopathic, who is very new to "the game", stands awkwardly in the crowd of distinguished figures. As his eye twitches, he steps toward the man-of-the-hour. Psycho walks towards Cross-DeCaprio, licking the cut he most likely recieved from shaving that morning. Psycho fishes into his breast pocket, and removes a wadded up napkin. After unfolding, and stretching it out, he reads off the words written on the paper.

I would like to congratulate you Mr. DeCaprio, for you have received a gift I only dream of receiving. Even though I dwell in NY, I recognize this honorable event, and hope the best for you.

Cross shakes hands with Donnie Brasco

Thanks my friend I'm glad you took the time out to fly here on this special day. I know that we will do alot of business together and I proud to call you my friend.

Cross then turns towards Psycho smiling at the man that is congratulating him.

Thank you kind sir. I appreciate your kind works please enjoy the food and drinks. I hope to see you around this fair city sir and I know our paths will cross again if future business deals.

Mave watches the Psycho from her table, barely containing her joy from seeing him tremble. She keeps her comments to herself, though, as she downs another shot of Rum, and every second she isn't watching a guest her eyes always find Cross. She smiles, knowing that he's wanted this for some time now. He has more than earned it. It's his turn for the spotlight and she intends to let him have it.

Cross walks over toward Mave and has a drink with her as they talk about todays events and the future. Cross knows that she has great potential and that one day she'll have the spotlight at the way she conducts family business.
