What can be said that hasn't already been done. I will say this much, you were a great Godfather to New York, but more importantly, you were a great friend. The city will miss you and I will miss you.

I hope retirement goes well for you sir, but should your kin ever return to this line of work, they will have a place to lay their hat as long as I am about.

Your empire and your reign over New York was truly a golden age in the underworld. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing you that long sir, but my stay under you in New York is one I would never forget, a story to be told and cherished by my lineage. It is sad to see you go, still, I would like to congratulate you on a job well done. To all the new Godfathers in New York, Philadelphia, Las Vegas and my own Godfather in New Orleans.... Congratulations to all of you!

It has been an honor to have been a part of your legacy.   While you did not know me personally, I have seen from afar what a great leader can achieve.   May your retirement be long and your worries be few.

I remember hearing the rumors, the whispers of all of this, never really thinking it could be done. It takes a man to bow out at the top, and at the top you were.

You knew my feelings and it makes me really proud to know that before you left us, you gave me the keys to my own city.. out of all the people in this world. Using the power you and others worked so hard for that you have now passed onto others like a real man does for his family.

You succeed in your goal, and have left a legacy.. that is all anyone can ever ask..

I really hoped that you would have stuck around a little longer as many out there wished for the same. But you had an amazing run! You really do deserve this needed retirement for your own sake. We were just selfish in thinking that we could have kept you around forever.

You made New York into something much more than just the usual words that have described it, empire, legion, legacy, dynasty...all but words that don't really do the justice to what you have accomplished.

A Godfather who fought for what he believed in even against all odds to come out on top and stand as the supreme ruler our community has ever seen. You always told me that you were just lucky, that none of this was possible without everyone around you, but you were the reason those people gave everything for this day. A man who stepped down on the peak of his career so that others could step up and get their shots for their hard work and dedication. Never met a man who would have even considered such a thing if given the power that you possessed.

People really have no idea how good they've had it with you and I will miss you dearly.

Truly, you still are in my eyes and many out there, the Godfather of all Godfathers. Enjoy your retirement Boss.

Godfather TheDean! So many thoughts and words come to mind. I remember I was looking through grand pa's diaries, you took control of this city after a war that had left nothing but devastation all across the country. Then I showed up at some point, and I remember...no money for HQ's, no money for DFP's, no Made Men to house the unsponsored. And look at you now! You lived your life on your terms by your rules, and as such your choosing to leave us the same way...on your terms!

I can't help but say, what you have done for this place as a whole is unparalleled. To rebuild a city from ashes and then to make it into a 'self-suffecient' empire was something I don't think even Grand Pa thought was coming, but what a difference the right leadership makes. Not only did you rebuild New York back up to the hight's that it has enjoyed for so long as a corner stone of our world, but you played a significant role in shaping the criminal expansion in the rest of the country. Where most used war to expand their empires, you used diplomacy, where others used assassins you used money, and of course when all else failed we had a 'Lady Gaga' type performance.

The country went from from having two Godfathers to having almost a Godfather in every city of the country now. Five Godfathers have come from your reign, so many Crew Leaders and god knows how many hands. To say that you built an empire would be an understatement, how many can say that? You did it Dean, You did it! As Lady Gaga so eloquently put it, you will always be "The Godfather of Godfathers"
