A New Light in Bella Vista Started by: CeceliaBriggs on Aug 23, '19 16:06

With the success of the Shale mining and resource extraction operations in Bella Vista, Cecelia felt confident calling Luxanna into her office. The pair sat down across from each other at the well-built desk, weary from much use. The district had been built from the ground up, seen much tribulation, but still stood strong. The two recent, random and un-witnessed murders of two made men had brought a somber atmosphere to the break rooms of both Candor and Shale. It was obvious the district still had miscreants running throughout though, and an expansion was necessary for the increased security of the region. Cecelia reached into one of the desk's drawers, and a deed for a plot of land materialized. She handed it over to Luxanna with a smile.

"You've served as a trusted hand for a long while now. I feel it's time to set aside my selfish clipping of your wings and let you fly off into the sunset. With this deed, I believe you can reach greater heights than you could sitting in our ol' HQ here." Cecelia gave Lux a wink.

"While we're at it, what are your plans for the business?"

Luxanna was busy pretending to look busy, a skill she had mastered very quickly and made plenty use of when she was called into Cecelia's office. She was no stranger here, having visited for many meetings and of course the occasional paperclip stealing shenanigans. She sat down, wondering what was up this time. Perhaps someone snitched on her for eating the last donut when she said she wouldn't?

At first she was a bit confused when she was handed a different looking piece of paper, taking a moment to realize it was a deed for a plot of land as she listened to Cecelia speak. Her mouth slowly turned into a grin, realizing what was going on.

"Oh my, with this deed I can for sure fly all the way to the Sun, and shine just as bright! To fit that venture, I need a business that can assist with the brightness factor of course, and what could be brighter than a lights and lamp shop?"

She took a moment to think before continuing, using her copyrighted generic thinking pose #38 to help her out.

"But alongside that, a good name is needed too, it has to cleverly talk about the lamps but also the other part... I think Illumi-Nation fits the role just fine. And just to make sure I don't forget to say it, thank you so much for the deed! I've had a wonderful time here, but luckily I won't be too far so you can always come get a free light bulb or two. But for now, I have to get things in motion right away!"

Slightly out of breath from talking too fast, she got up with the deed and ran towards the door, as there was no time to waste. After falling face first and getting back up, she decided there was a very small amount of time to waste, running a little slower out of the office.

It was time for Bella Vista to become brighter.

Anthony was passing by the office within his headquarters when he noticed Lux frantically making her way through the hall. Curious, Anthony stopped Lux to inquire as to why the frantic hurry. Upon hearing the news Anthony shook Lux’s hand and congratulated her.

“I know you will do well to represent the city, the district and the family as a whole. Congratulations!

Anthony then nodded her off and strolled down the hall to drop off his latest collections.

Roger was on his way into the headquarters when he bumped into a smiling Luxanna, he knew something was up so he figured he'd ask. After being told what was up he shook her hand.

"Congratulations my friend, good luck in your new ventures. I know you'll do great things."

Roger walked inside and sat down for a bit.

Clapping her hands excitedly for the newest leader in Philadelphia, Lust moved to join the rest of the crowd ready to congratulate Luxanna. Finding her in a quiet moment where people had settled down for the time being, she chose that time to push herself forward to give the new leader a hug.

"Congratulations! You have done so many things for Philadelphia, always had the city's back and I know you will continue to. I think I speak for all the leaders in Philly when I say you're an excellent addition to us and I am looking forward to working with you more closely and personally from now on." She exclaimed, her tone soft as her lips perked into a small smile. Passing her a gift basket with the note 'From Depravity' she nodded and turned to let the rest of the crowd greet and congratulate her.

Alfred performed street magic in one of Philly's busiest streets. Things were going very well and many generous dollars had been tipped into his hat in front of him. Suddenly he saw a friendly figure coming towards him. He could not remember the name of this person, but the face looked familiar. It must have been a random guy he'd been drunk with at W&W.

"Do I know you?" Alfred asked

"Yeah mate, it`s Freddie, we used to hang out at Roger`s place. You showed me some simple but impressive tricks over there" the man said

"Right, I remember you. I thought your name was Fallon mate, my bad. Whats up?

"I just came from Bella Vista, some words about a woman called Lux is setting up shop over there" Freddie said

"Ty for letting me know, I better get over there, catch you later at Roger`s place"

Alfred took all the money from his hat and put it in his inner pocket, and placed the hat back on his crown. Alfred rushed to Candors HQ. As he advanced, he saw many people mingle around Lux. He walked over to her and gave her a hug.

"Good luck with your next adventure, I am sure this will be a successful one."
