ATTEMPTED MURDER

One of our reporters was in Bricktown, DT, when he witnessed a masked man attempt to gun down Archy, the alleged LHM of reputed Detroit mob boss JimmyTheLionheart.  Further investigation revealed that it was a disgruntled FBN officer who attempted the hit.

Our reporter reached out to underworld contacts for verification of this, and it seems that it the case.  And so, it seems, that the stealthy murderer remains undetected.

THE STEALTHY MURDERER 

Who is this man, or these men, or woman or women.  Could it be the late, lamented Teq?  The bisexual reputed mob boss with an axe to grind?  Could it be a man known only as "Clank"?  

Why have only prominent, well established, famous and talented bloodlines been targeted?  And why has no publicity followed such high profiles killings?

When we look back at stealthy hitters and underground movements, the bodies on the Street tell only one half of the story  Could it be, as some have alleged, that the stealthy assassins are actually deeply embedded, high-ranking members of established crews, acting autonomously to train their guns and amuse themselves?  

The Chicago Tribune wants to find out.  This is not the POLHF, killing their enemies are loudly claiming responsibility, and neither is it a group of individuals hellbent on regime change.

We will, it seems, be left to find out.

THE TEN MILLION DOLLAR GOLF PRIZE

In what must be the biggest cash prize in sporting memory, AvardT has launched, with much fanfare, a golf tournament with life-changing sums of money to be won.  It seems that not many people have taken him up on it, which begs the question: what will happen to the $10M?

The Chicago Tribune DID note, however, that AvardT made over a million dollars in tips for merely announcing the contest.  Compare that with the measly $100k that the previous edition of The Chicago Tribune made.  And we had to give away all of that to those you complained.

It isn't easy, this business.  Y'all should be more grateful.

DANNY_GREENE

In a criminally ignored recent piece of Street oratory, Danny_Greene pontificated about his life.  Danny is an unfortunate looking man who, our FBN sources allege, is a high-ranking member of Valencia's South Philly outfit. 

But Danny_Greene is also something of a master of disguise - he managed to take a Mug Shot, which shows the Danny_Greene of the future, in 1959.  Since this is the 1930s, Danny_Greene is a Prophet.

Danny_Greene, he says, is upset that Angel was killed.  We do not know by whom, or why, Angel was killed, but it seems that Danny_Greene was very fond of her.  Danny_Greene was checking out the freezer (a rarity in this decade), and preparing for a "camping" trip that they were planning on taking, when Angel was killed.

Danny_Greene then took a cab to Manhattan.

The Chicago Tribune was so moved by Danny_Greene's writing that we have anonymously sent him some money, in the hope that he can give Angel a decent burial:

Your accountant makes note that $200,000 has been wired to Danny_Greene from your account. The note "For Angel's funeral, from the Chicago Tribune" was included.

RAMPAGE'S APPLE

We believe that The Chicago Tribune should be your favourite newspaper, but you should also read The Apple - it's a damn good read, and Rampage deserves kudos for it.  Despite getting far fewer readers than The Chicago Tribune, he raised more than SIX TIMES the revenues.

Explain that one to me, dear readers...

He shook his head lamenting the promises made in the previous issue that were not brought forth in the new. He had really been looking forward to the Wayne interview, and the obituary for the late Louis_T.

Quality work mate, though still more of a dirt sheet than a newspaper. Though I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Cheers!

Explain that one to me, dear readers... 

It is quite simple as to why he got more revenue than you, he gave way more relevant information than this 2nd try at a newspaper. Hell, I thoroughly enjoyed his paper, it gave me an insight into what is happening in the cities rather than a couple random topics.

What did I learn from this newspaper? 

1. AvardT earned more revenue than you, because people are more interested in playing golf and winning 10m than reading this

2. Stealthy Murder (Although I already knew about the Stealthy Murder, it was still a good read)

3. A CA agent shot at Archy, which he is an old school player so he should know not to shoot at other peoples CA's. Maybe its the old age kicking in.

4. You were impressed with a story so you tipped him.... That is very interesting to us readers.

5. There was no Wayne interview... Don't promise the viewers a story that you won't deliver. 

6. Not like I care but also no Obit for LouisT...

I suggest getting rid of the "Ask Anthony" advice part. I read one line and it didn't interest me at all, I get it, you tried to do something different from the other authors, but it ain't gonna pick up. And I don't know why people would come to you for advice.

Also, stop comparing the tips you get from the others and then complaining to your viewers, it does not look good for you so just stop. 

I wish the new deputy editor a lot of luck, you are going to need it!! 

I am going to be as positive I can with this short review of the Chicago Tribune, issue 2. I will give it to you, it was a lot longer than the first one. You had one good topic in it, but apart from that not much more I can positively say about it. You should not promise your viewers something and not actually come through with it. (Regarding the interview with Wayne). 

Also comparing yourself to another newspaper and trying to say you are superior, will just backfire on you. If you do indeed have a team helping you, you need to go to the drawing board once again. Take time and work on the next issue. We all are hoping for a quality newspaper here but I have not seen anything like that so far here. Also maybe it would help to look at a actual newspaper and see what they bring to the table.

Well, I enjoyed it and it helped me pass the time during my customary morning shite.

I think the piece on Danny_Greene in particular was enlightening and I was glad to dispatch a lad with a small token of my gratitude to Mr T when I was all done.

Let me ask you this MrLouisT, can you not take constructive criticism? Many others also feel the same way about the newspaper as me. It's not like I was being crude about your work. Art is in the eye of the beholder anyhow, so people might think this is amazing writing but I am not in that category. I want to help improve it but if you can't take this to heart, then that is your problem. 

Also, another thing is I do not want your bribe. Use that money for your newspaper. I know we are in the mafia, but cmon now.

Archy was walking when he heard a young kid yelling "Read the tribune... Read all about Archy's attempted assassination." He raised an eye borrow and pulled the kid towards him, he took one of the papers in his hand and gave him 10 cents in exchange. He read carefully and whispered to himself, "what the hell?  I am already on the news for killing a corrupt agent. I was merely trying to save the world out of his corruption and greed." He sighed as he continued to read but to no interest. However at the end another paper was mentioned, he was quite surprised that someone is advertising for a rival, but that means one thing, he found a better paper to waste his ten cents on.

I've been enthused by the response for this issue.

It seems that two of this newspaper's harshest critics are now retired from this life.  I wonder who they were?

Perhaps linked to the outfit that murdered my father?

 The Mafia has always tried to protect and expand its territory, even if violence is necessary. The rules of survival are always malleable. However, in a barbaric city like this one, only the fittest and bravest survive. Are you ready?
