It was mid afternoon in Philadelphia, the sun was shining through he window into The Godfather's study and onto his desk, giving off a distinct glare as it had been freshly polished the day before. Luis had found himself struggling to make it out of bed this morning, his body ached, and the sleepless nights had definitely started to catch up with him. Slowly walking down the hallway with his younger bodyguard, Vito Rigazzo, by his side as he used his cane to keep balance. Joe Delorenzi was already sitting in the study as Luis made his way in, reading the newspaper while sipping on a cup of coffee.. Today was a special day for La Cosa Nostra, Seattle had been vacant for some time now, and it was time to announce who would be taking over operations in The Emerald City.. Luis sat down at his desk and whipped out a pen and piece of paper and began writing...
Luis grins as he places the pen gently down next to the piece of paper and pulls an envelope from his top drawer of his desk as he looks over his writing carefully before folding it up and placing it into the envelope.. He extended it out towards Vito and barked at him to take it down to the newspaper in Philadelphia and see to it that this letter reached all the territories across the nation. Vito took it and quickly left on his job, leaving Luis and Joe in silence.. "You ever gonna consider retirement boss? I'd say you have done enough for the Mob already.. maybe it's time to let your daughter take over?" Luis chuckled at Joe's statement as he stood up and stared out the window at the grassy hills of unincorporated South Philly... "I'll retire when I'm dead old friend, and not a moment sooner. There is still work to be done" Luis said firmly as Joe shook his head
The Godfather, Luis, stood there for some time staring out the window at the blades of grass blowing in the wind, it brought a sense of peace and calm to him, it reminded him of the old country, Sicily, where he was born.. He had always dreamed of retiring and going back to live on his house in the old country, but that was just out of the question now... |

As most who know me I am a man of few words on the street, However I really am happy for the chance to pull this city into a good place to come and visit. With the help of my fellow City Crew Leaders I am sure this will happen in a very short time period.
My door is always open and I will answer your mail if you send it. Congrats to all and a big thanks to the GF council. |

He lights up a smoke and turns around glad over what he just seen and hoped and knew this was ging to be a great city again with such good ones in her now, he took a deep smoke and slowy let it out in the air and smiled. |

Seated on the balcony of the newly built Union Avenue headquarters, Emily reads over the communication from Godfather Patangeli while sipping a cup of coffee. A small smile turned the corners of her lips. It was always good to see growth. Growth meant prosperity, and hopefully continued peace. Several pigeons landed on the railing across from her. They fluttered and flapped, as if playing in the breeze that seemed to chase them. Emily took a few bits of the croissant she had been eating and tossed them onto the ground a few feet away. The birds eagerly scurried toward the crumbs and pecked for them. It was hard not to think of the pigeons as a metaphor for the hardworking, largely impoverished population of the South Side; scrambling for what they could get from those who had more. The whole idea bothered her. She wasn't just here to prosper herself- she still had to find some way to leave this place better than she found it. Finishing her cup, she stood and walked to the railing, looking over the busy town below. |
