Messenger Marco Started by: Marco_Bergamaschi on Aug 29, '19 12:41

Marco's brief and unexpected encounter with Mr.Lee had earned him a delivery job at the train station. It was a quite simple job, get in, deliver the envelope and get out. The pay was good too for less than a days work and the best part was he got paid upfront from Mr.Lee which means Marco will have time and money to spend after the job was done. Who knows if Mr.Lee would trust Marco enough to award him with another job. Marco didn't want to get too ahead of himself and needed to focus on the job. He knew it was easy but he had to make sure the task ran smoothly, he grasped tightly onto the envelope making sure it would not slip off his hand as he walked into the station.

Once inside, Marco's eyes widened, "Oh mio Dio," he uttered under his breath. He might have prematurely accepted the "simple task", he thought to himself as he saw the amount of people in the station at the time. People were everywhere and moving in all different directions and as his steps takes him deeper into the station, his eyes scanned every corner of the station looking for the woman Mr.Lee mentioned. "Jane Dale.. Jane Dale.. Jane Dale.." Marco silently repeated to himself. The description was simple, short height, long black hair and bright blue eyes, so simple that there were a lot of women at the station that fitted that description but not many would have bright blue eyes, so how would he get away with staring every lady in the eye without making it look weird or obvious.

Marco was starting to feel at a loss, little that he knew that the "Posner Investment Trust" envelope with the huge company stamp logo he was holding is now held tightly to his chest. He could feel it in his gut, a seemingly young lost kid holding an envelope which could probably hold valuable and important items inside, he is either gonna get beaten up or mugged there and then if he couldn't find Ms.Dale soon. His heart raced and his stomach turned, he could feel the sweat running down his forehead as he continues his search. Just when he thought his day could not get any worse, he felt two large hands from both sides scooping him from under his armpit and dragging him across the station floor. "Hey!" Marco shrieked at his two large abductors. "Let go," Marco exclaimed as he was being dragged to a slightly hidden area of the station. Marco continued by struggling and trying to wrestle himself out of the situation but to no avail.

Once the two men stopped dragging him, Marco was pushed to the floor and as he looked up he was met with another towering individual dressed in black suit. It seemed like he was guarding something behind him, the guard stood motionless and out of curiosity Marco tried to peek from the side but could not get any clear vision of what's behind the guard. Marco stood up and dusted himself with his hand, looking down he was thankful that the envelope was still in his other hand. "Is that for me?" A feminine voice came from behind the guard. Marco looked up and tried again to peek but this time the guard moved to the side, allowing Marco to approach the voice. A women dressed in all white attire sitting on a bench surrounded by guards. "Is that for me?" the woman asked again as Marco was caught staring into her beautiful eyes. "Bright blue!" Marco said to himself and as the woman stood from her bench Marco could see  her flowing long hair and she wasn't that tall either but at least she was taller than Marco. The woman approached Marco and placed her hands on his shoulders, leaning forward to meet Marco's eyes. "Little boy, I believe Lee Posner sent you here?" the woman said while nodding her head towards the envelope with the almost clear company stamp logo "Posner Investment Trust" on it. The woman's voice turned from calm to slightly agitated and just when she looked like she was about to raise her voice, Marco replied, "Si for signora Jane Dale," Marco uttered as he raised the envelope. "Good," she replied in a now calmer tone. The woman opened the sealed envelope and inspected the contents, her gaze turned towards Marco and with a smile she sealed the envelope again and passed it to one of her guards.

"What could be your name?" the woman asked in which Marco replied, "Marco, mi chiamo Marco." The woman stood there slightly amused and with a gesture of her hand, one of the guards handed the woman a sealed envelope. The woman slid the envelope into Marco's jacket and hand signalled her guards that it's time to leave. "Make sure Lee Posner gets this my little Marco," she said in a playful manner as she carressed Marco's cheek and as she turned to walk away, she said over her shoulder to Marco "piacere di conoscerti Marco."
