Stepping out from the front door of the Whitman Continental Hotel in South Side, Chicago, a somber-faced Emily Renfroe takes a written statement out for the small crowd of curious press and bystanders.

"It is with heavy hearts that Don Levey Posner and I must address the death of Hunter Everett. The decision to execute one of our own is never an easy one to make, but with the current climate of war, a definitive statement had to be made.

"Mr. Everett made an un-authorized shot someone that was clearly involved in the ongoing war between other cities.  Let me repeat: this shot was un-authorized by myself or Don Posner. We do understand that mistakes happen, but mistakes such as this in times such as these absolutely cannot be taken lightly. Chicago remains neutral and separated from this war.  Thank you."

Not taking time for questions, Emily is surrounded by her security detail and quickly escorted back into the hotel.

Hi, does this really warrant a street presence? Surly a mail to the uppers involved might have been a bit of a better play here?

Is it your place to tell leaders when they should or shouldn't post in the streets?  I respect that these two wanted everyone to know not just uppers.

see the irony of this, is its an open street. A "leader" puts them self on a pedastool out here, irrespective of the topic issue. Then yes, its my place to reply with what i think would be a better practice! its absofuckinglutley my place to do so!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, lemme get this right, out of all the deaths today, you think that this is the most important to come to the streets  and announce why he died? A wiseguy, form a city that have told us "they was neutral, and wouldn't be taking part" 

ok so, lets use your logic; there is going to be what...50/60 speeches regarding each death of every single person over the last 12 hours and the reasons why? i shall sit and wait for these...yet im the dumb one?

The people cry, "We want more activity in the streets..."  and so people share the stories of their lives.  

The people cry, "We don't want to hear your shitty stories, we ONLY want debates and announcements on the streets..."  and so leaders come to the streets with announcements.

The people cry, "This is a fucking waste of our time, no one wants to hear about how and why you do the things you do, keep that shit in the mail and out of our way ..."

The streets go silent because folks don't like getting bitched at constantly and the people cry, "Why don't people ever talk in the streets anymore?  We want more activity in the streets like there was in the good ol' days ..."  and the wheel which is life on these shores continues to turn.  The only thing that remains a constant generation after generation?  People bitching.
