Alot of money was spent this month. I personally think Carroll is ridiculously over priced and Torres moving to Chelsea is a bit of a kick in the teeth to Liverpool fans.

What do you guys think of the January Transfers?

Lets not get started. Im a newcastle fan and am not happy with losing carrol not one bit

Yeah I know a few newcastle fans who aren't happy.

I am an Arsenal and also disappointed with Wenger yet again not bringing in any talent.

If I was a newcastle fan I would be happy 35 mil for Carroll is great business. He was always going to demand more money once people were interested in him it's what agents do. The only problem with newcastle is they didn't get a striker in they probably could of got a decent striker from Europe for half the money.

Liverpool I think are in trouble, losing one of your best players to your rivals is shocking business. Especially when the striker you brought in to replace is injured for at least a month bad business!!

yeah at least arsenal usually sell there quality players to barca, but not to a top 4 club.  shows the lack of ambition.

A lot of people saying Carroll is a waste of money but he's only 22, with serious potential,  so Kenny Dalglish can mould him into a good player and he's part of the homegrown quota which is very important. Carroll's wages are only half of what Torres was on and Liverpool finally have a strikeforce instead of just one striker. As a Liverpool fan I'm happy enough with the deals but would have liked to see a centre half come in as well. I think Gary Cahill would look good in red!

Andy Carrol 35mill is a joke all English players are overpriced. I'm not denying that he is a good striker as he is a good old fashioned English striker but 35mil seriously?? Bad business on Liverpool's behalf panic buy as Torres was on the way especially when you think Carroll is injured and that by the time he is fit he will only play a handful of games. Could of brought him in the summer for less. Liverpool have mugs written on their heads!!!

^^ Gian - While I agree with the overall point, it wasn't a panic buy. Liverpool wanted Carroll and they specificly told Chelsea that the price for Torres is equal to whatever price Newcastle command for Carroll Plus 15 million compensation for selling to Chelsea.. So, can't be much of a panic when you demand a fee based on the other transfer? Again.. I agree with your put, but as I like Chelsea im happy with Torres moving!
