Leninade... a lemonade with a portmanteau of 'Lenin' and 'lemonade'. Mikhail loved the stuff red dyed soft drink. He had just gotten back from a small town north of Chicago, Galena. He was strolling through the downtown shopping center looking for a splendid present for the future bride and groom on the occasion that called him up north. Mikhail loved going up north. He missed the cooler weather and the green scenery. It was nice to get out of the Sin City for a few days. As he went from store to store looking for something better than your typical wedding gift, he had started to get thirsty. The local taverns up there sure looked like fun but there was a soda shop that had a few beverages on tap. They were predominately in the root beer business but they had a few other bottled drinks he could see through the window. As he entered the store he was greeted with a free root beer just poured from the tab. It was one of the older A&W recipes you could find today. It was quite refreshing to have something that was so pure and fresh instead of those new soft drinks that used corn syrup. He thanked the young women who greeted him and gave him the sample of this amazing soda. He continued to sip on it as he strolled through the small aisles of the store. He looked over the root beers first and then found the other flavored soda section... LENINADE! He couldn't believe what he had just found. It was a clear bottle with a somewhat red looking liquid inside. On the outside, a hammer and sickle were sporting the bottle. A star with the saying 'Join the Party!' was right below the bottle cap. Underneath the name the saying 'A taste worth standing in line for!' caught his eye. A picture of the great supreme leader was on back as well with the saying 'Get really hammered and sickled!'. Mikhail fell in love with this beverage and couldn't wait to taste it. He grabbed a folded carton that would weld six bottles and immediately went to check out. "This is all I require lady comrade." Mikhail took out some dough and paid the young lady comrade. He asked if she had a bottle opener and before he could wait for her to pick up from underneath her counter top, he grabbed a bottle, placed the cap on the edge of her bar top and popped the top off. He had managed to take a swing of the drink before she was even able to give him the bottle opener... "This isssss fantastic." His second thought after he drank his new favorite beverage was, 'How can I share this with my other comrades...'. He knew a guy who could make this happens. He got on the local payphone directly outside the soda shop and made a call. Within a few minutes a deal had been made to get this beverage in Las Vegas. He wanted to serve it in his new casino, Das Kapital to all his lucky gamblers. Mikhail couldn't wait for this new arrangement to happen. |

Viktor had inherited all of Wayne's old transport trucks from the farms. Although the farms had all been auctioned off and he no longer dealed in agriculture, he had used the trucks to start up a logistics and shipping company out of Seattle. He had many connections in mother Russia, with the homeland being a short ship ride across the Pacific. He routinely imported from the Soviets. His telephone buzzed and he picked up the receiver. His secretary Valerie spoke on the other end. "Godfather Big Dick Mikhail for you, daddy." Viktor smiled to himself, he had not spoken to Mikhail for a few days. The godfather had been in Chicago for a wedding. "Mikhail, comrade, how are you?" They exchanged pleasantries and inappropriate comments, before Mikhail started raving about Leninnade. "Ah yes, the tastiest drink mother Russia can provide. Certainly, we can procure some for the grand opening of your casino! I will get my best men on it right away." |

I was overseeing a meeting that was going down with the newly hired security team for Das Kapital, when Murda came into the room. "Sorry Mr. Ross, but you've got a phone call." Uncle Murda said, clearly a bit nervous about interrupting the meeting currently being held. "This had better be fuckin' important" I said as I followed him out of the room. As I reached the door way I turned back to the others in the room and nodded at them, signaling them to carry on in my absence. I made my way over to the closest desk and picked up the phone, hitting the first line I saw on hold. "Hello? Godfather Mikhail, what a surprise. No, no, everything is fine. Yes, recruitment for the new casino is going very well. We've already hired the finest card dealers the country has to offer, and we've been scooping up soldiers from the war to work security here. What was that, Comrade? Leninade? That's the first of it. No, sir. It won't be a problem at all. I'll get on it right away sir. I'll get in touch with our contacts back home and have this worked out at once. You to sir. Good day." I hung up the phone and waved Murda back over to me. "Get me Old Man Markov on the phone. Not the one way Summerlin, the one from back home in Russia. Let him know it's me calling on behalf of Godfather Mikhail." I told him, before heading to my office to wait for the call. |
