tiggy on 12th Started by: tiggy on Oct 23, '19 21:53

tiggy walks along the streets of Summerlin, delighting in the delectable, delicious double decker bacon cheeseburger, freshly made from all American beef, topped with American Heinz ketchup, the only form of genuine and real ketchup known to man. This burger embodies the effort and spirit that can only be personified by strong-willed, courageous, patriotic, American industry. American industry that was built on the backs of patriots, true lovers of freedom, prosperity and love for their neighbor. Love of their neighbor that fosters the desire to build a better world, a stronger world, an effort that in this world only a true American could accomplish, like King Arthur and the Excalibur. That's what this bacon burger was about, this burger was more than a burger, this burger was freedom, and freedom is delicious.

As tiggy eats the burger, a sign was seen making mention of The Company. tiggy was well aware of the accomplishments of the 95th rifles, while they were British, we remember that the American tenacity came from the British. It was the British who made America what she is today: a great nation, a perfect nation, a nation where all could relish in the greasy goodness of bacon. A nation where one could be free to do business, whether public or private, without having to pay taxes on tea - unless you chose too. Because choice is ultimately what freedom was all about. And tiggy was choosing to enjoy this bacon burger while reading this sign posted by The Company.

I hereby declare the position of Left Hand Man to The Company open for application. What does this mean? It means I want the best. For to become a chosen man, to wear the band, is sacred. Only the best will do to honour the death of my friends who have worn it alongside me.

tiggy knew that this was a sign, a calling, a solicitation for red blooded Americans to demonstrate of the greatness that can be spread when we unite against our differences and set out sights on the next frontier. "Today would be 12th street, and tomorrow will be the moon!" tiggy said in thought. tiggy knew that while freedom of choice was not without freedom of consequence, the correct thing to do would be to seek permission from Xanxus to answer the call. tiggy knew that tonight would be the best to bring the topic for discussion, it was pizza night after all.

tiggy took the tram back to the compound. Already tiggy could smell the delicious pizzas baking in the oven. It wasn't just pizza night, it was Mama pizza night. Mama Xanxus was making a legion of pizzas, some even with a cauliflower base for those who were concerned about this "kar-boh-hy-drat" and "gloo-tun" hysteria. If shit was bad for you, why did it taste so damn good? It's like bacon. Bacon could do no harm because bacon is good. The only thing that was harm were these jealous shitterinos trying to guilt me into giving up my leftovers. But there is no such thing as a free lunch! As the cheese, made purely from milk churned at the finest Wisconsin farms - or I should say finest farm, because it was already fact and common knowledge that Wisconsin has the best dairy period, slowly melted into the pizza base, and the cathartic aroma of cheese with Californian tomatoes permeates through the room, if not the entire city, tiggy almost fell into a food coma right then and there fantasizing about the debauchery that would become of that delicious cauliflower pizza once it was removed from the oven. But tiggy remembered the purpose of returning to HQ, and that was to ask Xanxus about the possibility of furthering American interests to the frontiers of Detroit.

"Xanxus, I saw a notice about The Company over on 12th asking for worthy applicants to compete for a position amongst their ranks and brotherhood, it requires your formal permission to participate. You don't think I'm unworthy, do you?"

"You're never unworthy tiggy. Like bacon, your participation will always be a net positive no matter what the case is. I don't have any problems with it, you have my permission." Xanxus said with a smile.

tiggy was elated. tiggy was happy. tiggy would have the opportunity to demonstrate to the world just what tiggy can do when released from chains of commitment. tiggy took hold of the rotary phone, and had the operator get ahold of the Western Union.

"Hello, Western Union." the other line had said.

"Hello, Western Union. I'd like to get a telegram out, to the Honorary Mr. Sharpe and his comrade ColonelSwishbeard ,  bill it to my.. mmm.. mmm... Federal bank account."

"Yes?"

DATED: October 21

To the Company leader, Sharpe, and Colonel Swishbeard.

Sharpe was sat in his relatively empty HQ. The building itself was nice but something was missing. He missed the days of being surrounded by 100's of men who looked up to him, who adored him and expected them to lead them to victory. The Colonel was a great companion but it was getting hard talking to his reflection in the mirror. Ever since the battlesfields he hadn't half become vain. He had even driven the two newest re

Sharpe returned to reading through the applications for the position he had made available within The Company. Left Hand Men are vital and he knew this. He knew he couldn't just hand it to any man or woman. It had to be the right person. He knew they were out there.

At that moment he knew something was wrong. The Colonel had marched into his office and there wasn't a single mirror in sight. This was unheard of. Truly momentous.

"I have had an interesting telegram. I didn't believe it so I have just spoke to our Finances Manager at the bank. Yeah. The dodgy one. He says it's true. Here, have a look"

The Colonel hands over the piece of paper. Upon it is the simple phrase 'Deal Me In!'

"I haven't organised another card school and forgotten about it have I Colonel?"

The Colonel sighs wearily "I have told you before. The powder has affected your brain not to mention your love of cheap rancid wine from France. Its for the contest. I saw tiggy in the streets before discussing how she had been talking to Xanxus and would be applying for the position in our HQ. I think it's a solid shout Sir and one we need to pursue."

"Indeed Colonel. Indeed. I knew that but I was just checking. You know how the wine remind me of the good times. But yes. I am inclined to agree.  She has given me one million reasons to get in touch. That is for sure. Wait there. You can take the letter straight to the office." Spotting The Colonels face Sharpe adds "Don't worry it's window cleaning the day. They'll almost be like a mirror."

Sharpe removes his favourite pen, stolen from a French Major to ensure the letter is not delayed a moment longer..
