It is I, Destro, the most controversial, talked-about mobster in the country.  I stand before you beholdent to no man or woman.  Once loyal to Shannon-Whelan, we have parted ways and severed business ties.  As far as I am concerned, this is Shannon's business and despite affecting me personally, it is hers to speak on if she desires.  I will field no questions regarding this and will not speak on it other than to wish Shannon the best of luck in whatever future endeavors she pursues.  

This does leave me in a peculiar position, as I am in a state of being commonly referred to as "homeless".  However I choose to look at this as being a "free agent".  Despite pledging my loyalty to Shannon-Whelan, I have yet to make my bones in the mafia and was merely an associate of her crew.  Doing "work" for the street recruiters is frankly beneath me, so I will be accepting pitches from crew interested in taking an award-winning author and hard-worker into their fold.  

I am not beneath accepting cash from crews looking to procure my services.  

Let the bidding begin.

I'm also hoping that my newfound free agent status doesn't bar me from future writing competitions, whether it is to participate in them as a storyteller or a judge, as I greatly enjoyed serving as both

tiggy, overcome with grief over Shannon-Whelan's withdrawal from the status quo of business, walked out into the streets for a stroll to clear her mind. While Shannon-Whelan's decision was depressing for tiggy, who had a love for everyone who loved bacon, tiggy couldn't help but feel happy, because Shannon would be happy. Happiness is a wonderful thing, and instead of being a source of negativity, we should be happy for those seeking positivism.

tiggy saw one of Shannon-Whelan's past associates pursuing this positivism in the streets. His sheer optimism in being able to find a home made tiggy's heart flutter in pride for this otherwise stray soul. tiggy recognized this controversial and most talked-about mobster as Destro, the winner of one of the most prestigious writing competitions known to the the world, hosted by only the most highest quality and renowned speakers in recorded history.
