The guy who owns the vegetable stand on 12th Street in Detroit was tied to a chair in one of the abandoned buildings Destro uses to conduct unpleasant business such as this.  Destro had loaned money to the owner of the vegetable stand so that he could pay the medical bills for his ailing mother, but the vegetable business had been slow lately and he was late with his payments.  Destro's henchmen held the blubbering man steady as Destro loomed over him, a pair of hedge clippers in his hand.

"You're late with my money.  That is going to cost you your nose."

The man trembled with fear.

"No!  Please Mr. Destro!"

But it was too late.  Destro had already positioned the man's nose between the blades of the trimmers and began to close them shut.  The blades cut through the cartilage as the tip of his nose fell clumsily onto his own lap.  The henchmen flinched at the sickening sound it made as Destro dropped the hedge clippers and pulled a pair of pliers from his pocket to pull the remaining sinew and tendon from the bone.  Blood poured from the hole in the man's face as Destro collected the pieces of what was once the man's nose from the floor.  He examined the soft tissue and tough ligaments, along with what appeared to be the hoods of the man's nostrils in the palm of his gloved hand.  

He handed the nose pieces to his henchman.

"Here.  Mix this in a soup and spoon feed it to this man's mother.  Let her take her son in through his broth."

The henchman nodded as Destro let out a villainous laugh.
