Luck of the Irish Started by: Estarossa on Nov 06, '19 11:14

"Oi Bohyo! Look at ya...I understand that Mickey but you have to understand, things are different now and we have new obligations, its not just booze...I know...I know...so you understand where I'm coming from now? Good....I'm glad that we could clear that up, tell the lass I said hi, alright? Good, see ya at the pub later."

Devlin O'Leary smiled as he relaxed into his leather chair, his eyes hazy slightly as he poured himself a nice glass of Irish Whiskey, the good stuff never ended now. He had been a bit different since the days of the Pavanno's had fallen into ruin, now he ran his own organization. Still, loyal who gave him his start. now he had to begin anew, the guns business, thanks to Mael.

"Devvy, we got the angels outside, they seem to be waiting for entry."

"Then give it to them you bleeding bastard..."

His guard had shaken his head, clearly believing that even with this new station, he hadn't changed. Still, the boys were ready, opening the doors to the angels, Konnor, Creeper, and Grim. All of them looked at Dev differently, they knew where his loyalties stood and that of his growing men now. It was very easy to see that this bar of his....well it was something of a territory operated under the Irishmen but answered to the Pavanno's.

"We have the president, Konnor Marx. A chance or making the stroke of luck that you are now the man I do business with him, I heard I was supposed to be doing business with Tacoma or perhaps Albany. Only here I am with you, this seems a bit fucking odd to me mate, I was hoping for a change in scenery, Charlie stuck around here too long and Estarossa got hooked up with you guys again. It's all a bit...well, boring."

Dev wasn't one to hide that he wanted a change, he had been working in Philly a long time now and his organization had expanded into Illinois with the help of some Irish MC Brothers in the form of Galen Romona and many others, it was an easy transition that allowed him and his boys to gain some revenue in that area of the business. Only the shift had begun then, his own business with the guns had begun, the Russians and Estarossa had contacted him, wanting to pass the business onto him and so it had begun. He was able to begin his own empire now, one of the gun-running trade.

"Dev, long time no fucking see....how are ya?"

"Could be better, still, have a seat and take a glass, something tells me you're not here for some idle fucking chit chat."

Konnor didn't really know what to think of Devlin the first time they had met, it was a moment that neither of them forgot. He had been nothing but a small prospect at the time, still chasing after the dreams that he had founded with Jury. Becoming something, being the better man and then he had the Irish Mob leader. Devlin Fuckin' O'Leary, a man that had power and did not use it, allowing his charm and crude language to get him ahead of the game. He was a man that was loyal to one crew and one family only, they were the Pavanno's.

His mind flashed to that as Devlin poured him his drink...

"Prospects! Come on, we got a pot of gold to find..."

Konnor looked over at Felipe Ros, current Sgt. At Arms for The Heavenly Host. Man was a hardass but he was one of the patches and that is how it worked around here, Konnor looked over at  Jury, both of them didn't want this right now, they wanted to have a seat at the table but that was not on the cards right now and they had only started prospecting eleven months back.

"Alright, Felipe, Jury! Come on!"

All three of them made their way out, it seemed that Miano was staying back with some of the other brothers. They had been discussing business about the returning Charlie Pavanno and his son, he wondered who the fuck they were. Only the conversation seemed to pay more attention to the son more than anything else, he shrugged, not knowing anything and followed after Felipe as he rode off.

All of them passed the regular neighbourhoods, how they passed them by and he would not lie that the looks they were receiving were not nice. Still, Konnor kept his eyes ahead, focused on the duty that he had and now was looking forward to doing what he needed for the club and all too soon they came to a stop outside an Irish Pub.

Many of the Irishman watched them like hawks, there was something there, like a common truce of some kind. The music playing inside the bar though, it was loud and Konnor would not say that he had not been impressed with it. They were almost like things at the clubhouse. A brotherhood and all these men seemed to have the same thing here.

"Prospects, go get us a few drinks, I have to greet this Irish bastard..."

Felipe sat down opposite a man with dark blonde hair, a well-chiselled face as his eyes swept over, noticing the patches on them. He smiled slightly, almost like he was proud of what they were representing and it seemed like he knew what it meant. Now Konnor knew that he could have been reading too much into it but he decided to let it go, for now, his hands shaking a little as he brought the glasses of beer back over to the table.

"Prospect! This man right here, the bridge between the MC and the Irish gangs, Devlin O'Leary. He's a good man to have on your side, don't ever forget that. Now, have a seat...enjoy yourself, for now."

"Konnor!"

The President shook his head as he came out of that memory, looking at the drink before him. Deciding to take a little sip, calming down his nerves as he thought over those brothers before. All of them had died, Felipe in a war against the Angels of Death and Jury...well...the better that he was left to rest and he was not going back there again, he needed peace of mind for right now.

"Yeah Devlin, I'm not here for idle chit chat. The Guns, a lot of that is changing right now and I am ready to move up a schedule. I need to know when the next shipment is and when we are going to putting a down payment on it brother."

Report Post Tip

Dev drunk his Irish Whiskey straight from the bottle, his eyes narrowing on Konnor, the man seemed a bit testy. He wasn't going to press him too much. He just wanted to be sure that they all had the right frame of mind right now. With his new business, his guys were ready to start moving in, they wanted to start making their presence felt. With the presence of the other gangs diminishing, many thought it was perfect for them to pick their spots now.

"Our connects in Belfast and Dungloe are coming about, moving operations is something that Old Man Putlova wanted. Still, people are wary about some of the guys over there. Some Biker gangs in Irelan are something, well different, they're not exactly welcoming to us. Some of my guys are saying that there should be a permanent presence in Belfast and Dungloe."

Report Post Tip

Konnor knew what that meant, the Bikers were unruly and not organized. Probably warring over scraps, something that was clear by the way Dev was describing this. It was something he was wary about, while they had some charters overseas. Expanding into England, it was not what he always had in mind, even right now.

"That's something I'd have to bring to the table, besides the benefits of an organized front between the clubs. Is there something that I could easily get from this? I'm assuming the movement of your guns would be increased with much ease, thus allowing us guns at a faster and earlier rate than before."

Report Post Tip

Now that had opened an entirely different can of worms. Business with the Irish alone was something that the club was open too, now expanding into Ireland itself, that spelt for trouble. The politics were an entirely different nature, doing this move, it would give them a presence but it would put them on a watchlist...expanding into Ireland, just like the Mafia itself did with America. Only this wasn't a new start and it was something that all of them would have to think about.

"I understand, without the clubs being patched in. We'd have to talk to the government officials, see what we can do to get them on the take, now that is going to be easy. We have no problem with that at all, its the support we'd be receiving Konnor. My men are worried without the support from Estarossa that things are going to change, we are seeing that already with you wishing to remain in the guns business."

Report Post Tip

Dev took another gulp of his liquor, he could see that his statement had rung true through all of their heads. The Arms trade had been something that Estarossa had wanted to leave before Konnor had stated it was not going to happen. Almost like he had a completely different look from the club then on, it was most certainly something interesting.

"Indeed, only do not expect anything to change. I am quite glad that you are now in charge of the arms business. Estarossa had the right of that, working with Veronica Putlova would have been a nightmare for us. I assure you of that and I have nothing but the intent to make sure that we all come away from this richer than ever."

Report Post Tip

Konnor could note the challenge in the voice of the Irishman and he knew that the man had been the same with Felipe. He would have never been this way with Estarossa, they were almost connected in a way, like family. No one had questioned it but now Konnor was thinking that it would no doubt cause problems for them going forward.

"Well I can assure you that none of this is going to be hitting home, we'll be making sure of that. We'll be having some issues of our own to clear up but besides that, we will be able to do our business that way. I understand what you mean Devlin but I need you to know that the club has its own business, we can't always be sure that none of the stuff we do won't hit you. It's not a guarantee but we can give you a heads up. Just like I expect you too to give us a heads up, right?"

The Irishman smiled, knowing that he would do exactly that. Only it would haven't been for the club, this would have been for Estarrossa, the man that had made this club what it was. He nodded, all the same, promising that he would help them out in times of need.

Konnor and Creeper were now sitting on their bikes, just outside of a local diner. Some of the people passed by them with smiles, knowing who they were and how they protected Philadelphia from the bullshit that infested their city little by little. Now they had some knights in leather, with their iron horses in tow. It was something that they never forgot and often took pride in, now though, they could see the usually friendly men needed to be alone.

"Patch over? Fuck...Devlin is asking too much, permanent presence on that side of the pond, that sends a message and not one we can afford right now. We have one charter in England, and that's Newcastle. I'll talk to Edward, see what he knows about the brothers in Ireland and how they can benefit us."

Report Post Tip

"That's not going to work, we need to do something different here. We need to be sure that we have something over there, one charter out of so many others internationally, that's...not good for us. If we wish to ascend into a greater than average club, we may need to pass this vote."

Creeper agreed with Konnor, this would be historical for the club as a whole and for it to happen would once again shift things for them. Now they had to be ready for it, for that shift to happen once again. It would bring things full circle, with the connection with a charter in Belfast and Dungloe, the Angels would thrive and make more money than ever.

Report Post Tip

Both of them knew that this was the right course of action, they had all needed this. Nothing else mattered for that single moment, the brothers would have to pass that vote and then something else would have to come. They all knew who would be going, Konnor knew that he would be the one going, the one who would be sitting down and finally talking with these clubs about the future. What it could bring for them.

"Imma go talk to a few of the brothers at the clubhouse...see if I can't get them on board with this bullshit. I don't like it but it has to be done and this is where it has led us. Not really a fucking surprise, the Irish always seemed ready for something more. With Devlin in control, I guess we will see more of that change and more people will flock to associate with him. Make sure they are worthy of being on his payroll, it should be some jolly good fun to see where they are going with this."

Report Post Tip

Konnor shook his head, Creeper had always been the one that believed the Irish were playing a game. They never wanted more when Estarossa and Jury were running things, they were content and calm. Now Konnor had to deal with ambition and perhaps, orders from the new Irish Mob, things were picking up and not in the way he liked it. He nodded to Joel as he rode away to the clubhouse.

Konnor knew that this wasn't going their way, nothing was, to be honest. Things were taking a turn but it was up to them, they needed to turn this around and know that they could survive for what was to come. The Tribe, Irish, and Guns. All of it, it was coming to a boil and now powers would be tested, men would be pushed to their limits and loyalties would be tested. Konnor just needed to know that the right people were behind him, that they trusted him.

"I guess I'll found out now..."

With this, Konnor rode off and just enjoying his time for now. He needed to spend some time away, it was best for him and the club if his emotion were not all over the place. He needed this, he knew that much.

Report Post Tip

"So they want you to go to Ireland? What kind of bullshit is that brother? I understand that to patch over is to have the president there but have you spoke to the Kings? We'd need that kind of backing now."

Misaki spoke with a wisdom that made them forget that he had only been in this club for a few weeks and now spoke among them like an experienced veteran member of the club. It impressed them, now some of them took his words into account, Givern and Galen had to be informed of this move on behalf of the Irish.

"I spoke with them, they understood the Irish's need for a permanent presence for the club. This needed to happen and now we have something completely different, two clubs, they are known as the True Brothers and Devil's Blessing. They're not warring or anything, they seem to be pretty good with one another despite what might be coming for them. They don't wish to mess with the guns but they don't like being left out either, they're deciding to hold us up in some places that take our shipments all over the place."

Report Post Tip

Konnor spoke as he sat in the head seat, his eyes on all of his seven brothers, these guys were the ones that had been family to him. He knew that they understood his concern with this move, it would bring unwanted eyes onto their operation, more than likely, it would be the law and that was not good for them. They needed to remain away from that kind of press, now...well...things were changing and the waters seemed to be bubbling, wishing them to go to Ireland and see how they could change things.

"So...either they patch in or they get removed is what I am assuming, having this club with us, it does give us something, I will admit that. Who's going with you though?"

Report Post Tip

Konnor stared down at his hands, he knew he had chosen to go with him. It wasn't something that he wished to happen, only he needed this to go through now. Above everything else, the arms business was one of the more lucrative trades that the Club had under their belts and now it was needed more than ever. They couldn't lose this or they were going to be stuck being the cartel's whipping boys, something that he would prefer not happen.

"I'm taking Grim, Goren, and Zaza from Tacoma is coming up to make the trip. Other than that, we're being lowkey, no one else but the club needs to know that we made this trip. Four brothers heading up north, all of us are patched and we show them that we are united. We patch them in, we show them that we are ready to accept them. It gives us strength."

Misaki nodded, understanding that the President seemed to be trusting Goren more than any of them right now. All of them looked at Creeper, the acting President while Konnor would be away on business. Not to say that many of them didn't trust him but he seemed a bit different lately, almost like he was questioning the choices that Konnor made, all of them were down with it. They knew that they needed this.

Report Post Tip

"Now, while I'm gone, first up on the list is this Tribe business. This shit doesn't hit back home and it never will. We're going to be sending a fucking message to these fucks, no one and I mean nobody fucks with our business. We have to makes sure that all of these guys know that, get on the horn as well. New York, Cali, Illinois, Michigan, I want all of them on alert that we take these fuckers down."

The remaining brothers nodded, it was going to be a bloody few weeks without Konnor to lead them into battle. They wondered what this was going to be like if he was going to be one of the few that made it back from this mission. No, they needed to believe that, it was rough times starting out but they knew that they could put their faith in him to return back to the brotherhood.
