Hello Everyone, I come to you all today as nothing more than a Humble Observer, a chronicler of history both past and present. My aim with this debate is not to set to what currently exists aflame, but merely to ponder at what will come to pass over time, a subject that I like to call “The Great Game.” Many of you reading this do not even know this is occuring at all times, and will likely never get to participate yourself. So, for those of you who haven’t gotten your chance to sit at the table, I hope that this can be informative to you if people are willing to participate. Through our generations, we have seen this scenario play out a thousand times in a thousand different ways. There isn’t a regime that can escape playing the Great Game once they have ascended. Many fail the Great Game early on, and are nothing more than one of the hundreds of forgotten Godfathers and leaders, forever lost to time for failing to create any sort of impact. In my eyes, that is totally fine. Not all want to participate in the ever-changing world around them. Not everyone desires infamy. In a world such as ours where survival is the only thing that matters, you can’t count that as anything less than failure; only because they let down those that choose to follow them. That is just my personal view. Again, everyone views this place in a different light, and have different views of success. With the removal of Chicago and New York recently the landscape has shifted yet again, and this time in a dramatic way. Many of those learned enough saw those removals from a mile away given the age of some of the people in those respective cities. Whatever reasons given for the takedowns are not of any relevance. New York and Chicago were outsiders in the current power structure we see taking shape today — placeholders, if you will. These were acts of self-preservation by our current regime. Whether the reasons given for their removal are valid or not is not for me to judge as your Humble Observer. We have seen many Godfathers and leaders die early in their respective runs because they lacked these instincts of self-preservation for some false ideals of “being the good guy.” These, of course, are the nameless people lost to time, forgotten. Now the Game has become much harder for our current regime. They have reached a pivotal point in which they must now start to look at each other as the next threat to their lives and loved ones. Trust me when I say the decisions to be made going forward are much more agonizing when they are against someone you have a history with, and many fail at this pivotal juncture. I could sit here and cite examples, but I believe most listening here today already have names in mind of the many who this has happened to. In a paramilitary organization such as this thing of ours, there is nearly always a top dog calling the shots. Many would point to the great bear himself, Mikhail, as that person in this current time, and they may be right. The day will come when one of the loved ones in his group does something he disagrees with, and how he handles it will define him. The glove could be on the other hand just as easily. Many great leaders in times past have had the throne taken from them by someone they thought was their subordinate. Many of the most powerful mafioso alive today sprung from the late great Wayne’s loins. Not many forget where they came from, the man that gave them their chance, and maybe his son, Viktor, is the glue that is holding this all together. Your Humble Observer does not know the answer. When regimes start off together, they eventually have to spread out to cover all the territory our country offers. This creates a sense of self-empowerment to those beneath the central power. As time goes by, the hitmen build and disagreements mount; This is when the Great Game begins to be played. One slip up or one disagreement is all it takes to shatter the most solid of friendships against the rocks. These are the hard questions facing our Humble leaders in the not so distant future. If history repeats, the most ruthless will rise to the top as they tend to do. Sure, history has some exceptions to the rule, but those with long careers at the top have typically been ruthless bastards. I am only but a Humble Observer spitballing about the future. To me, this is where the real stories of consequence are told. I don't much care for the stories told in the streets as they have nothing at stake and very little to lose. They are words on the page meant to be enjoyed. The stories being written right now by those in power, with the ability to act, are the ones that will define this era. How will things turn out? One cannot say definitively. How do you, yourself, think the future will pan out? I ask because ultimately, how these obstacles are tackled affect not just those on the throne, but their subordinates as well. Their actions will define a generation. Apocalypse, while your opinions are valid, and in a general sense true, they are not entirely accurate. Not every historical regime has followed this pattern, I can think of multiple examples where close friends have banded together and had long and fruitful reigns. I won't mention names, for they are not important, but I know of one in particular that ended with a plan of retirement and succession. Post succession everything was lost and the bonds made broken, but there was a long 6 month period prior to the retirements that everyone was happy and everything ran fine.
