BigTom heard news about what happened to Paul, his uncle. His uncle's wife, Daisy told BigTom about the incident. There was yesterday when BigTom was doing his job as a barber at the shop. There was a lady entering the shop. He stopped his work and turned to the door. The lady was crying as she was walking toward BigTom. She hugged him. "Aunt Daisy, what's wrong?" he asked. "Your uncle, Paul's died. Someone shot him," Daisy said. BigTom couldnt believe what he heard. His heart was mixed with anger and sadness. He thought revenge was the only way...but that was not gonna settle down the problem. "Aunt Daisy, Im so sorry. I wish I could help but that's the way he lived. If ypu have anything to talk about, just come to the shop or at my house." Daisy let go her hug. BigTom hold her hands.They looked at each other. "Alright, son. I will see next time" Daisy wiped her tear and walked away from the shop. BigTom told the other guys, "Alright fella, our boss's dead. I will talk to my aunt about who's gonna in charge this shop." At night, he went to his aunt's house with his car. He drove to the front door. He knocked the door. "Who's there?" Daisy shouted. "It's me. William Thomas. BigTom" he said. She opened the door. "Come in." He sat down on a wooden chair. Daisy started to talk about his late husband's will. She told that Paul wanted BigTom to become the boss for the shop. "Well, Im hesitated to take the shop. But I have to 'cause that's his will.Well, I think it's already late. I should go home. Goodbye, Aunt Daisy." He hugged her and kissed her cheek. He walked away and drove to his home as fast as he could. Before he went to sleep, he figured out he should hire another man since he became the boss. "I will someone...someone...someone..." Suddenly, he went asleep while talking to himslef the word "someone" many times. |
