Background Story:

Carla DiMarco grew up in Palermo Sicily where her family originated from. She moved to the states at the age of 7 in 1908 during the height of the Italian immigration to the U.S. The family landed in New York and found shelter in the heavily Italian populated neighborhood of what is known as Little Italy where her father worked hard to make a honest living as a laborer. Being the youngest of 3 siblings, including herself, she was quite protected and often not bothered by other children in her class as her older brothers were quite intimidating and by the time she came of age at 18, her oldest brother Peter was already a made man in the mafia for the Gambino family.

Carla tried hard to keep herself away from the lifestyle but by the time she was 25 she was running her own racket in Philadelphia alongside her brother, Peter, selling illegal alcohol and offering a safe haven for prostitution. Her father was quite displeased with her and her mother nearly disowned her for the life she was living, and after she started dating Luis Patangeli she rarely saw or communicated with her parents again. Following shortly after his death, she went into hiding and gave birth to his son, Gino DiMarco-Patangeli.

Ron "The Quiet" Patangeli: Ron is the twin brother to Luis Patangeli. He was recently released from prison but was sent back due to a parole violation of being in possession of a firearm. He was currently serving a 15 year manslaughter charge for the death of a corrupt police captain in New York and still has about 6 years left on his sentence. He is the sole-proprietor of the Philadelphia Cabaret Club and is rumored to still be involved in illicit activity while incarcerated.

 

Melvin "The Steward" Rigazzo: Melvin is the current manager and day to day operations guy for the Patangeli Crime Family. Luis had left his business and legal entities to his brother following his death which still operated under the legal guise of Patangeli Inc. until Ron is released from prison. His family has deep mob ties to Sicilian Families and his brother, John Rigazzo, was a close bodyguard and friend of Luis up until his death. The Rigazzo's are a loyal bunch and are very old school as opposed to the newer age gangsters on the rise.

 

Gino "Skinny" DiMarco-Patangeli: Son of the late Luis Patangeli, he has quite some shoes to fill in the criminal underworld. Gino is still fairly young and under the supervision of his mother but he has already earned himself the nickname "Skinny" for his frail figure like his father as Luis was not the biggest man himself. Gino dropped out of school by the age of 15 and since then has been doing petty crimes while working for his Uncle's Steward, Melvin Rigazzo.
