I am tossing this out here because it has been evident for years this change is in order. Allow people to come into the game and set up with their people. It is no secret the vets feel entitled to be Cl's and RH. Rid LH.

Mafia games have left our world. And this will too continue to take a loss if it remains on the same path. You have many vets like myself who don't fall under the .org who has recruited and left because of known reasons. These people are not tools. They do not want to answer to anyone but their Don. That is the reality of the Mafia family. 

Rid the GF rank. 

Utilize the ranks. Especially the UB (RH) and the Consiglieres. 

This is the only way to survival.

Or, you know you could quit bitching and moaning about not getting a chance and prove you deserve a chance to your leader. There are many "vets" that will go out of their way to auth newer bloodlines when they show interest and that they not only deserve it finacially but through activity within the family/crew, city, and district. You sit here and piss on the vets, but without them the game wouldn't be here. 

If you haven't been authed, wait didn't you say you turn it down because it's not your cup of tea, maybe you should go look in the mirror and ask yourself why. Whiny suggestions with no basis beyond your own personal grudge against those that have been here since the floodgates opened to the .org refugees doesn't make for good reasoning behind your suggestion. 

Prove yourself worthy of auth to the right person and you'll get it, whine like a bitch character after character and you'll likely be thought of as a joke and never given the opportunity.

Was it not the vets who took advantage of the system this last round?

We are told to trust the vets. Trust the old guard. Prove yourself. Yet this is what happened. The old guard took advantage of everyone here. They took advantage of the administration. They have ruined the average player's trust in them. Now they want us to accept them as leaders again. They have not atoned for their crimes. They bought their way out. Some are still leading. I believe every CL that took money should be forced to step down and not be allowed to have a leadership position for 6 months. I believe every hand involved should be demoted and not allowed an upper position for 3 months. Just as hands are jailed for their leader's crime, they should pay a price too.

Mickey is right that there are people here that would make great leaders. There are leaders here who don't know how to follow someone else. When one dies they are talking to the vets looking for the right crew to join so someone will set them up again. 90% of the future leaders are predetermined after a war. Once in a great while someone is given a shot in an open city. We all know these are generally plus ones waiting to happen OR, just as happened in Detroit recently a regime plants their expansion people there knowing they will control it. It is never a free city given a real chance. It is nearly all vets who go into these cities as well. The ones the current leaders can point at and say they gave them another chance and proved they couldn't be trusted. We also here the excuse for takedowns that a CL isn't communicating. This is not ring around the rosie where everyone should be holding hands. This should not be controlled by the CLs talking to each other and singing Kumbaya. This is the mafia. No leader should be killed because he or she doesn't want to tell the other cities anything or everything they are doing. This hand holding and controlling the came is exactly why Mickey has come forward.

The dynamics here need to change. If they don't, and especially after the recent "fuck you" given to the average player and admin by several individuals here, this game could go the way of so many other mafia games lost and forgotten.

There needs to be a new way to leadership. One that doesn't get someone killed for setting up and giving it a try themselves without being shot on site. The new player that is actually given a shot here is one in million (slight exaggeration.) The vets who abused this game and continue to rule should not be able to control something they cared nothing about when they committed their crimes.

As for Mickey's rid the LH suggestion, I believe the LH is useless. It is part of the rankings here. It is kind of a backup to the right hand. As it is, it is fairly useless though. Give it the same authority as a RH other than reading the CLs mail or get rid of it. 

Godfather ranks - These have become something that people want for stats and prestige. While I don't think we should eliminate all Godfathers, I do believe it should be limited to one Godfather per city and those Godfathers become the Godfather council de facto. In turn, those Godfathers should be the only one a CL in any particular city answers to. CLs should be able to trust that Godfather not to share their families information with anyone else. Again, this is not Kumbaya. While I accept their can be strategic alliances, there should never be a regime that controls this place.

I agree that ranks should be utilized. I'd like to know in what manner Mickey is thinking. A better utilization of ranks would keep more people engaged which is always a good thing.
