Background Story:

Akari Machii is the niece of a high ranking Yakuza boss. She did everything and anything to show her value to the Yakuza and wanted to join but wasn’t allowed to join cause she was a woman. Women were not allowed to be a true member of the Yakuza, it was something she wanted to change. So in order to show her commitment she assassinated a rival street boss, a task she took up under no ones authority. This sparked an all out war in Tokyo, after weeks of bloodshed the two rival groups came together to discuss peace. It was demanded and settled on that the bloodshed would stop once Akari's life ended. This was something her uncle couldn't and wouldn't do but for the betterment of the Yakuza needed to do. Akari was made aware of the demands and accepted her fate, she was prepared to die.

Unknown to her though, her uncle had other plans. Him and a couple of his high ranking officers, faked her death. They erased her and any trace of her in Tokyo. They placed her on a cargo ship, a ship that was sailing east to the US. With a pocket full of money and her dagger, Akari is set to find a new life in Los Angeles.
