You Want the Truth? You Got the Truth Started by: Destro_Whelan on Dec 17, '19 16:56

There hasn't been a lot to talk about in This Thing of Ours recently, and I know all of you are interested in learning the truth behind what has now been months of speculation as to what my father Destro's relationship was with former Chicago crewleader Shannon-Whelan, and who my mother might be.  Now unless you have been living under a rock the past couple of days, you know that my own bloodline has recently been discovered and exposed.  I am the son of the feared villain Destro.

It was only once this most recent war ended that I learned this truth, having read journals left behind by both Shannon-Whelan (Shannon's Side of the Story, and The End, available to read at the gravesite of Jen_Mooney) and my father Destro (The Diary of Destro and the Truth About My Son's Mother and Who She Is, solely in my possession and not available to read by anyone).  It is from these journals left behind that I was able to ascertain the facts behind who my parents were, and why the left me to fend for myself in this cold, cruel world.  With the identity of my father finally being revealed publicly, this leaves my mother's identity an ongoing mystery to all of you good people.

But before we get into that, I'd like to share some other news that you've all been wondering about; facts pertaining specifically to Shannon-Whelan.  A lot of people have theorized, newspapers have dedicated entire articles to the subject, but never knew the TRUE story until now.  Where O where do I even begin.

Let's start with the 40 Million Dollar Writing Contest hosted by former streets "leader" for lack of a better term CommissarZverev (more of a streets figurehead than a leader really.  The streets don't technically have an official leader, thus why it was often confusing when everyone would always refer to him as the Leader of the Streets).  The rumor was that an arrangement was made and money was exchanged between the Commissar and Shannon-Whelan that ensured that Destro would win the contest, thus ensuring she would get a large portion of the cash prize.  While this was a popular theory that everybody believed whole-heartedly, I have learned from my father's own diary "The Diary of Destro and the Truth About My Son's Mother and Who She Is" that this is not necessarily accurate.

While it is true that Shannon-Whelan was approached by CommissarZverev and asked if she would like to contribute to the prize pot, and Shannon-Whelan did contribute, the sum of her donation was a mere million dollars, generously donated with nothing but the purest of intentions.  There was no discussion as to who the winner would be, and no tampering with the outcome as was believed when her member Destro won first place.

Shortly after this, my father Destro found himself to be literally the only other member of Shannon-Whelan's crew.  I found this picture tucked inside my father's diary of the Shannon-Whelan crew it it's entirety attending a mafia function during what I imagine were happier times.  These happy times came to an abrupt end when Destro was dropped from Shannon-Whelan's crew during the national mafia holiday "Trick-Or-Treaters" event.  Shannon-Whelan's own journal indicated she cut my father lose with plenty of time to find a new crew, as if leaders are paying an ounce of attention to their job boards while murdering costumed children every 60 seconds.  Reading this in Shannon-Whelan's journal is how I learned that I have more in common with my father than I knew I did, being that he too was abandoned to fend for himself in this cold, cruel world.  Despite her claims that she had provided ample-time for my father Destro to find a crew, I also found evidence via PhillipMarleau offering information to the contrary stating "Do you really think (Shannon-Whelan) wasn’t going to share with anyone else how much of a douche bag you are?"  This sounds more like the actions of a woman scorned looking to make things more difficult for my father Destro.  So yes, Shannon-Whelan was indeed a filthy liar when she made claims total innocence, but as to the rumors of any sinister involvement on her part with the contests, those rumors are 100% false.

Shannon-Whelan was killed shortly after in a legendary war that saw the demise of her entire city at the hands of the hero Godfather Mikhail.  My villainous father Destro, who was already ducking accusations of contest rigging, saw this as an opportunity to deflect these accusations in Shannon-Whelan's direction, exploiting her death as a means to shift the blame to a deceased woman unable to refute his claims.  This is from my father's own admission straight from his own journal, so I stand before you now to clear Shannon-Whelan's name.  And so that there is no confusion, let me say it loud and succinctly...

SHANNON-WHELAN WAS INNOCENT!  SHE DID NOT CONSPIRE WITH COMMISSARZVEREV TO SWAY THE OUTCOME OF THE CONTEST TO BENEFIT HER OWN INTERESTS!

Destro breathed a sigh of relief.  It felt good having cleared a person's name and he knew if one of Shannon-Whelan's relatives were around today, they would be thankful.  However they were gone, never to return to these shores again.

Now, as to the other question on everybody's mind, who is Destro_Whelan's mother?  Well, I am here to say that I have learned of this information too and have decided it is something I would like to keep private.  Many of you may be wondering if my mother was actually Shannon-Whelan.  To that I will say none of your business and I would appreciate it if everyone ceased spreading that around.

I will say this though, I learned a great deal about Shannon-Whelan from reading Destro's diary.  He described her as a kind person, an honest person, and admitted that implying she was in cahoots with the Commissar was a desperate attempt at avoiding taking responsibility himself.  It was something she never deserved.  So on behalf of my father Destro, I would like to apologize to the memory of Shannon-Whelan.  I vow that I will spend the remainder of my days honoring your memory and repairing her ruined reputation.  And while my father was known to speak regularly about Shannon-Whelan and her ally PhillipMarleau, much to both of their chagrin.  I want to say here and now I will not be speaking on Shannon-Whelan again unless it is to sing her high praises.

Now PhillipMarleau on the other hand was a total piece of garbage and his memory will be dragged through the mud for years and years to come.  Son of PhillipMarleau, whoever you are, have fun having each of your generations mocked and unmercifully ridiculed thanks to your father's scumbaggary.  I have already taken ownership of his ice skating rink and bedded his widowed wife.  I'm just getting started.  By the time I'm done, the Marleau name will be sitting in the same toilet as the name tiggy.  Disgraced.

Anyways, I'd like to thank a few people who helped me along the way in my search for answers as to who my parents were, and helped me to learn that my parents were killed and I wasn't actually abandoned in this cold. cruel war after all.  First I would like to thank Jen_Mooney, without whom I would not have found Shannon-Whelan's journal.  I'd like to thank my father Destro for his honesty in his own journal, and the late CoconutRandy whose newspaper provided some great insight for me as well.  I'd also like to give a shout out to the late ChrisVaughn, who seemingly spent an enormous effort and amount of time chronicling the Commissar's writing contests.  Hours upon hours of research and going back into the history books, meticulously detailing courses of events that even the Commissar and Destro had forgotten themselves.  Paragraph after paragrah after paragraph after paragraph of piecing together the puzzle that were the writing contests.  In the end, ChrisVaughn had accomplished what he set out to do; he exposed the Commissar's writing contests as a sham.  "Yeah, we know" was the response from everyone that bothered to pay attention to him.  Never before had anyone unnecessarily wasted so much time proving a point that was already clear as day to anyone with half a brain, but the information he provided was invaluable to me so I thank ChrisVaughn for that.

So what will become of Destro_Whelan now?  I've dedicated my life to learning about my past, but that chapter is now closed.  Time to start my next chapter.  What that will be only time will tell.  Thank you for letting me tell my truth today.

In closing, I'd like to have an extended moment of silence for a kind and great woman, Shannon-Whelan.  May she finally rest in peace.

Cassi was hard at work at her desk, hand jobs aren't nearly as easy as you would expect, when she heard the man's voice drifting through get window. She immediately stopped what she was doing and walked over, looking down at the streets. She listened as the man went on with his story. And on and on. What a brave, heroic man he was to stand there and share his story. Ah yes, it was Destro_Whelan. No wonder, only a real, true hero could share in this manner. She listened all the way to end of his speech, taking a moment of silence along with him. And as she closed her window to return back to her work, she whispered...

" Destro_Whelan you are the hero this world deserves. "

Destro_Whelan, you've overcome more obstacles in your short life than I eat protein-rich meals in a day. Before I get too wacked out on hyper-caffeinated pre-workout to feel anything besides manic delirium, I want to announce that in honour of the story that you have shared, Big Tuna's Outdoor Bars & Bench will be renaming a corner of the gym the Shannon & Destro Whelan Blazing Buns Power Cage Squat Centre, Sponsored By Doctor Armadillo's Miracle Erythroxylum Energy Tonic. A lifetime gym membership will be granted to yourself and Shannon's next of kin, were they to come forward and claim it. The family of PhillipMarleau, however, will have to pump their little baby arms elsewhere.

Yes thank you MartyMuscles but as you can see we are having a moment of silence right now for @Shannon-Whelan so please, a little respect for the deceased.

Destro_Whelan returns his metallic head to the solemn/bowed position it was in prior to the interruption.

Marty bowed his head, but only slightly, as the thickness of his neck prohibited too much mobility. He admired how his pecs bulged out like rock-climbing holds. He would pass the moment of silence with some heel raises to keep the calves strong. And these dorks can't even find the time to do a couple push-ups every day, he thought to himself. Pathetic.

Nipsey heard Destro tell the story of Shannon-Whelan and bowed his head in silence. After a moment, he went over and put his hand o Destro_Whelan's shoulder.

"May she rest in peace brother. If you need anything or someone to talk to, you know I got you!"

Nipsey allowed Destro to have some time to himself, and walked off. He was reminded of losing his father which was tough to overcome, but now he had to walk his own path. Nipsey knew Destro would be good as time went on.
