Homer strolled onto the streets, glancing around at all of the people. It had been a tough few weeks, rebuilding after the devastating war. Homer had been working harder then he'd ever had to work before, especially within the city of Las Vegas itself. No time even to drink a few beers at his local bar, quite a disappointment.

He'd returned to Springfield after the war for a few days, unknown to most. He went to visit one of his oldest....acquaintances? He'd never really thought of the man as a friend, not before now at least. Still, this man was the toughest, meanest old man he'd ever met, save for maybe his own father. In fact, Mr. Montgomery Burns had sometimes played a fatherly role for Homer back when he was a no-name working in Springfield. Back then there had been no one, except maybe for Marge, that Homer was more scared of. 

It had taken a good deal of cajoling to get the man to consider leaving retirement. Homer had used flattery and promises of great riches in the city of Sin. Mr. Burns loved money so it had been a tantalising opportunity for him. When Homer told Mr. Burns of the district he would lead, he finally agreed. For the past couple of weeks, Mr. Burns had been in training. Still, it didn't take long for a man of such experience to be ready to lead. 

That's why Homer had come to the streets today, to let the world know that his former boss was now, in fact, working for him instead - quite a role reversal.

"My friends, today is a day of great celebration! I am very pleased to announce that the deceitful, scheming, criminal, Mr. Montgomery Burns, has opened the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant in Summerlin." Homer paused for a moment, wondering why Mr. Burns hadn't called it the Summerlin Nuclear Power Plant, but that was neither here nor there.

"This is a man I have great faith in. I dragged him out of retirement because I could think of no one better to set up under me. He will work hard to create a prosperous district and I am sure we will all be richer for it."

"And of course, much thanks to the lovely Bunny, who stepped in temporary to oversee the district while Mr. Burns was preparing for his move; I would have been at a disadvantage if not for her willingness to step up in a time of need."

"There's still much rebuilding to do, but for now let's raise our beers in honor of the Great MontgomeryBurns
