Donation appeal for Australia | Started by: Bunneh on Jan 04, '20 20:17 |
With more than 200 fires burning, temperature records smashed and the Australian government widely criticised over their inaction, Australia needs help. Across the country, hundreds of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes. NSW and Victoria alone have seen the east coasts devastated by massive out-of-control fires. More than 1,500 homes destroyed with the fires claiming 23 lives so far. There is a widely-reported estimate that almost half a billion (480 million) animals could have been killed by the bush fires in Australia. Ecologists say the months of intense and unprecedented fires will almost certainly push several species to extinction. These numbers are expected to continue to increase. Australia needs as much support as possible. If you are in a position to help donations can be made via - https://www.facebook.com/donate/1010958179269977/ |

Very sad innocents (whom entrust in their Government) are victimized by socialist changes, misappropriated funds, and stiff regulations/policies that are supposedly in favor of the voters. California an Australia have much in common. My prayers outweigh the value of a monetary donation. I pray their Government is overturned. |

Firstly, lets not politicise the wildfires. People and animals died. People lost homes, businesses, friends and families, so to use it to score cheap political points is abhorrent. Secondly, you might wanna check your geopolitics. Australia has a de facto 2 party federal system; the Australian Labor Party, and a coalition of the Liberal Party of Australia and The National Party of Australia. The ALP (Australia Labor Party) is the more socialist and left leaning than the more conservative, centre-right LPA/Nats coalition. There are - of course - other minority parties, but as I said - Australian politics is currently a de facto 2 party system. Currently, the right wing coalition is in power, so to blame the left and socialism (who haven't been in power since Julia Gillaaaaaard was in office, circa 2010) is either intentionally erroneous, or completely ignorant. Either way, casting out opinions as fact is the reason politics is in the mess it's currently in - worldwide. Lastly, Australia - you guys are badass af. Keep fighting the fires and helping one another. It's inspirational to watch Australians in the face of adversity <3 |

Sadly enough wildfires have been politicized with facts to back it up. Australia, a beautiful country, has been victimized with the introduction of socialism. Natives and those who relocated to settle have been fleeing. Fact check that one. |

Thank you very much raccoon for your support <3
It is difficult to see your country in crisis, and seeing all the support is quite overwhelming. |
