| We are going to start actively policing the jail forums | Started by: Squishy on Jan 27, '20 19:49 |

I feel like since there probably are a lot of other things that the staff could be worrying about, removing jail threads that people really don't have time to add lengthy posts to anyway, was probably a waste of time. |

That thread got reported, I removed that thread. When other threads get reported, I will remove them too. Right now I am working a huge amount of hours trying to balance support for this version, put out the fires in this version, and work on the new one. There are only 168 hours in a week, and most of them are occupied. I am sorry I am unable to spend the time reading all of the jail threads for you right now, but as soon as I get the time to handle much more pressing issues, I will then be able to turn my attention to here. We had already written the code so that the jail forums allow people and staff to stay in it longer and follow up on reading them, but it was reversed due to a bug and it too is of a lower priority than other more pressing issues. If you feel that you are being singled out because your thread keeps getting removed, you should perhaps change tactics so others stop reporting it as a spam thread. :/ Its not a conspiracy that if someone makes a fat shaming thread asking for a 1 word answer as spam, that it may get reported and that it gets removed as spam. Thats just simple math :/ |

As I said, I don't think it is a conspiracy, just that it was that thread which was targeted, which you have confirmed was the case as it was reported and subsequently removed. Rather than placing the onus on you to remove these things when you are already busy, perhaps some forum rules and outsourcing of these small issues to volunteer help desk accounts would be a more effective method of review? Long term, when time allows and given that jail has traditionally just been a place to pass the time, maybe an automatic cleanse of any thread that is 1+ months inactive would further alleviate time constraints? |
