The Boy Who The World On A String

                            Scene 1: Romeo loved Juliet...

"What a lovely way to hurt...ooh what a lovely way to hurt..." the boy was singing low, trying to hide his heartbreak from the world. A world that for a moment felt like it was his.

The winds blow cold, it touches the soul

The rain is heavy...the boy sang sadly.

...

Three days ago. Ages ago...

It was night.

The radio played

The Boy was writing a story in his bedroom. The window was open, he could feel the breeze as he was reading his story, listening to music.

He got up from his chair, walked towards the window, gazed at the moon and said:

"Oh my dear moon, you enlighten my nights. My dark nights. I wish I could take a picture of you and keep it forever so you could always be by my side... Then your beautiful light could always keep me company in dark times... Please stay with me..."

But the moon never replied.

...

The next night, the moon didn't rise.

The radio no longer played.

The boy was desperate.

"What could've happened?!" the boy asked himself.

There was nothing he could do.

So he just decided to close his window and stay inside in his bedroom, in the dark. Hugging a pillow that never had the chance to abandon him like the moon did, he cried.

...

In his bedroom, the boy no longer was.

His radio was destroyed, on the floor.

The winds blew cold. It crushed his soul.

The rain fell heavily on his head, it's true.

The day was grey.

And on the pavement, the boy lays...

Dead. Forsooth.

Some started yelling,
Some were just curious,
Some didn't even care
'Cause nobody really does

Nobody thought much of it,
'cause nobody really does,
Some people cared a bit
But weren't so concerned
Like the one that mattered most
Everything stayed the same.
The same as it ever was.
And the same it shall remain.
