Devante Started by: Devante on Feb 14, '20 19:52

Devante was born in Tampa Florida in 1901, he was born to a wealthy parents, his mother was connected to the Trafficante and his father to the Galindo Cartel.   He grew up riding horses and shooting guns.  He was taught to play the piano, read poetry and latin dancing and speak several languages, Latin, Spanish, English, German, Russian and Italian.  He was given responsibility at an early age and held accountable for his actions by his father and uncles.  The young man grew tall and strong, yet he was patient, bold and decisive with making his decisions.  Devante enjoyed life in general and helping those in need.

Devante inherited several farms in Peru and Colombia.  He also purchased several nearby small farms and allowed the former owners to remain on the farm and work the land for him and in return he provided them with capital to eat, pay their bills and taxes.  Davante also helped them by building better schools or supplying them with books and school supplies.  Devante wanted to have the largest farms to produce the most poppy fields.  He had the Galindo Cartel connections with the local police that was on his payroll and the military generals to protect his land and keep everything under the table with the government in both countries.

Devante owned a fleet of transport ships that shipped goods to and from Peru, Colombia, Mexico, The United States, Canada, and Europe.  This was his own venture that he purchased to ensure that his goods went to market.  He made money hauling legal goods also with serious connection within the U.S. government.  He was the largest shipper of narcotics and yet he only produced fifteen percent of the product that he was shipping.  The Cartel moved about twenty two percent of the world’s product.   Devante made millions and invested heavily in other legitimate businesses.

Devante inherited Eckerd Pharmacies stores from his mother.  She made a purchase to help clean her brother’s money and sell her product that she loved moving that type of product as it moved fast and she reinvested that income into more stores and moved additional product for her brother.  Devante, like the sons of the leaders of the Detroit combination also went to school and received a law degree in business and criminal law.  Devante loved the life, he also loved the power that came with it.  He loved Florida and spent time and money in Day County Miami building that city up.   His uncle was a man of great power there and he was a young man of great power in South America and his connection kept both halves of his family connections strong.

Devante was in California he was asked to meet with a man named Luis Delgado.   Mr. Delgado lived in Tijuana and was receiving shipments from Mexico and sending them to all across the United States.  This was a much needed connection as he took trucks as far south as Panama City, Panama.  This would benefit Devante with getting his shipments into the west and Midwest much faster then down from Canada.  Delgado considered himself as a major player and thought that everyone should be kissing his ass.  However others thought of him as a parasite that should be removed.  Devante saw him as his personal shipment connection and would offer him protection and pay him well to ensure that they shipped 48 tons of product per year.

Devante arrived at the behest of his boss Sabrina as she instructed him to do a quick snatch and dash.  He was there to take a shipment of gems that was stolen from a friend of her’s and that friend was willing to pay handsomely for the return of the stones without it getting out that they were stolen in the first place.  The prick that lifted the stones was at a Mexican restaurant listening to a mariachi band playing his favorite tunes.  Devante was with Carlos and Oscar they found him as he was spending money like it was growing on trees and everyone knew that he was broke.  However when he lifted the stones he also took twenty two thousand in cash.  They didn’t care about the cash.  This man was also known to be a snitch and Sabrina wanted him to go away and Devante had to prove that he had the talent for this line of work.

Devante started with grabbing the thief as he went home.  The drunk wasn’t watching as he was followed by Oscar and when he entered his ransacked home he met Carlos.  Devante entered the house minutes later after the guys beat the man into telling them where he hid the stones.  He was good at hiding them as they were in his ice trays.  Devante placed each ice cube in a glass of water and then poured the water onto a towel.  It took Devante twenty five minutes to collect the fifty stolen stones.  Then Devante nodded to Carlos and Carlos forced the poor guy into drinking coke a cola laced with several ounces of cocaine.  After three cups the man was done no pulse felt and no heartbeat heard.  Oscar found the rest of the guys cash he was down to three hundred and sixty dollars.  Devante then walked into the kitchen and turned on the gas then walked into the living room where the man sat in a chair and lit a cigarette placing it in his ashtray.  They quickly left the house and as they drove away.  They were about a block away when they could see and hear the windows to his house explode as a fire spread. Removing most of the evidence that could connect anyone there with the man.

Devante then turned his attention to Luis Delgado.  He met with him the next day.  They met at Delgado's Restaurant, it was a family style joint.  Devante ordered a steak with rice and a glass of lemonade.   Luis got a burrito with rice and a beer.  It was a warm day which didn’t bother ethier man.  Devante explained that he would have protection from the Galindo Cartel, and the Tampa Family in the states.  He would be dring no less than 48 tons of product into the states hitting New Mexico and Texas.  And from there his men would take it to the rest of the southern middle states.  Delgado would receive payment for each delivery however he should not and can not afford to lose a load the first two loads however his men will be accompanying each shipment.  Delgado was expecting more of a partnership and not an offer to work for the Galindo Cartel.    Devante smiled and told Delgado that he had lots of enemies and his money was depleting rapidly hiring new men to protect him and his shipping lanes.  Delgado smirked and complemented Devante for the knowledge he has on his private affairs.  Delgado then told Devante he needed time to think on it.  Devente told him he would wait forty eight hours then he needed to depart the city with an answer if not he will assume that its a firm no.

Devante sat at his kitchen table reading his morning paper.   He spent the night before with his business partner discussing a situation that they had different viewpoints on.  His partner was a woman of wealth and could be deadly when she wanted to be.  They both had Sicilian blood running through their veins and they were quick to deal harshly when someone fucks up their money; especially when the reason could be handled properly to avoid problems.  He sipped on his cup of coffee as he read the sports section.   He thought about his partner Sofia Milano.   He once worked for Jaspher Milano, her father bodyguard and now Sofia’s tutor and bodyguard.  He was to make sure she didn't get into trouble and that the boy’s in school didn’t touch or date her.  That was the hardest two years of his life.  Sofia was in love and reckless.   She was so cruel that he was the one that gave her the nickname Spietato.  Nevertheless she always had valid points that some business was better than no business.  He smiled while sitting at the table as he recalls her mentoring him from time to time then the memory would recall how she was a bit demanding.

Sofia was always demanding and calculating.  He recalled the day she wanted to sneak off the compound and see her boyfriend Jason Maducci.  The one boy her father approved of and yet Devante thought Jason was a bastard to be shot and left  to bleed out but the bullet would be wasted.   Sofia hounded Devante one night to help her by driving her to see Jason as she had a feeling that Jason was up to something.  To her surprise Devante wasn’t as reluctant as he normally was. So he agreed to drive her to see him and as she got in the front seat Devante looked at her puzzled.   She normally sat in the back because to ensure Devante understood that he worked for her and they would argue that point for two years.  Devante always explaining how his check is written out by her father.  He would always say to her that it’s like working on a loading dock.  That a guy can load trucks with boxes and even though the guy works with boxes and load them on the truck day in and day out, he’s not working for the boxes.  The guy works for the owner of the business who ships boxes.  Therefore she was like a box and her father the owner of the company.

Sofia would always reply, you work for my father and I am in his will so your monkey ass works for me, now drive monkey drive.  Devante would reply,  If I am a monkey then I work for a monkey and that makes you a monkey and you do have monkeys for uncles.   Which made Sofia smile as she never had anyone talk back to her.  As they drove to Jason’s home they saw he was about to drive off so they followed him.  Jason drove to a friend of Sofia's.  Her name was Prue.  Prue ran out and got into the car with Jason and they drove off with Devante and Sofia following behind them at a distance.

They ended up at make out point also known as make out mountain.  Sofia was pisst and wanted Jason balls on a stick to roast over a fire.  Devante smirked and told her not today.   Yet Sofia was not taking no for an answer.  Devante asked Sofia was Jason right handed or left handed.  Sofia was so upset she asked him what the fuck does that have to do with the price of beans in china?  Devante sat there looking at her waiting on an answer.  Then she said Jason was right handed and Devante got out of the car and walked over to Jason’s car and tapped on the driver side window.  Jason was angry and got out of the car and poked Devante in his chest screaming at him.

Devante smiled and started punching Jason in his kidneys and rib cage, then his face.  Devante then Slammed Jason’s car door on Jason’s right hand and then watched as Jason clutched his right hand with his left hand as he slid down to the ground.  Sofia got out of the car by that time and walked over and punched Prue in the nose and both eyes turning Prue’s face black and blue.  Then Sofia walked around the car and looked at Jason as he sat on the ground holding his hand.  She kicked Jason in the sack and Jason screamed then rolled over and then vomited up his dinner.  It spattered out under himself.  Sofia then kicked him a second time but from behind and underneath once again connecting her foot to his sack as he fell chest flat into his vomit.

She then took Jason’s car keys from the ignition and tossed them over the side of the mountain as Devante looked over at Prue telling her to keep her mouth shut or he would come and find her and do all kinds of unpleasant things to her and her family.  Prue said she understood then Devante walked over to Jason and whispered as Jason’s face turned white as a ghost.  Then Devante and Sofia drove home but before they could get there Sofia saw Randy Jason’s best friend.  Sofia had Devante pull the car over.  Randy never liked Sofia and Sofia was going to get revenge.  She exited the car and walked over to Randy and they talked for a few minutes and then they went into his garage and Devante went to check on them.

Sofia sat on Randy’s lap facing Randy.  Randy was excited as he smiled like a kid about to get a new toy.  As she sat on him Randy hands went to hold Sofia in place. Sofia reached into her hair and pulled out her stick pin making her hair fall to her shoulders as she smiled at him.  Devante was getting a bit upset but before he could enter Sofa stuck Randy in his sack leaving the stick pin there and jumped up and turned to look to see if anyone was around.   She saw Devante and pointed at the stick and yelled balls on a stick just like I said.  Then Sofia turned and told Randy that if he told anyone about this she would tell everyone that he tried to rape her.  That’s when Devante knew that Sofia was not some little girl he needed to protect he needed to protect everyone from her.  It was then that she used her female tendencies to seduce men into vulnerable positions and then execute them or maimed them.  The name Spietato stuck and now she was running her father's rackets.

Devante was in Manhattan, New York, in his club the New York Coco Caban.   He was entertaining his guests.  He had Carlos, Oscar and Manny there with him.  He had a full Security detail to ensure nothing jumped off within the club.   This night was no exception.  As the party went on they were showing new acts at the club to keep the masses drinking, laughing and eating.  Devante was happy to see a full club the rich loved to relax and this was what he wanted when he was a young man growing up in Florida and in Colombia South America.  Devente lit a cigarette when his guests stepped onto the dance floor.  Then a man that Devante did not know approached him, telling Devante that he respected the work he was doing and how he hoped that they would one day combine their businesses together to be the biggest the world has ever seen.

Devante exhaled slowly looking at the man as Carlos was now present looking at the man also.  He apologized and introduced himself as Jerry Fernandez and explained that he had a lot of muscle and with Devante connections that could dominate the business world not just across the western hemisphere but in the world.  Devante shook his head and explained that he was confused and that Devante was a simple man with a small and simple night club.  Jerry smiled but Devante then stated that they have never been formally introduced and they Jerry must have him confused with someone else.  Jerry stated that he was not confused and that they had been introduced a few years ago.  Jerry explained that Devante’s father and his father once did business together.

Devante gave Jerry a smirk and asked him if he was hungry and Jerry said no.  Then Devante asked Jerry if he was thirsty and again Jerry said no.  Devante smiled and then said goodbye to Jerry and Carlos escorted Jerry back to his table as Devante’s guest arrived.  Oscar watched Jerry for the rest of the night as Manny made a few calls while Carlos stood by Devante that night.  Devante smiled and laughed but Jerry was still on his mind.  Devante didn’t like surprises and hates when people know or think they know about his business.  Manny came over the first chance he could and explained that Jerry father was once a major player in the drug trafficking business but there was a falling out with the peruvian government and Jerry father was arrested. Jerry’s father did a few runs with the Galindo Cartel but Devante’s father never trusted Jerry and that his father said not to trust Jerry.  That Jerry has managed to kill off his partners and has managed to build a rival Cartel that is growing fast in Mexico.

Devante thanked Manny and then had him take a bottle of rum over to Jerry with the words.  We have met but we will not be doing business at any time, however I wish you the very best.  Oscar was there still watching him.  Devante told Carlos to find out where Jerry was staying and what he was upto.  Devante then said goodnight to his Guest as they were leaving for the night.  Devante then

Machismo

Three days went by and Carlos had the information that Devante wanted.  Jerry was staying at the Belmont on 42nd and Park avenue.   He had six men with him they were former mexician military.  Jerry was planning something because they were using a pay phone at the local drug store.  Making five calls a day at the same time every day.  Devante sat there thinking about if his operation was exposed and he was unaware.  Devante then asked Carlos to get Oscar and Manny that he would need their help.  He wanted Carlos to get a few men from Peru and Colombia from the Galindo Cartel up here for protection and if need be to deliver Galindo Justice.  He wanted Oscar and Manny to monitor Jerry and get as much info on what he was planning.  Devante knew that Jerry reached out to him for a reason that this was not a by chance meeting.

Oscar was to observe the phone calls and Manny to watch Jerry everywhere he went and met with.  Devante would check the shipment manifest and make other arrangements for transportation.  He would have the Chief of Operations ensure that security would be beefed up and travelling with each load.  They would be off loading at different ports until further notice.  Buyers would receive delivery on time only on new dates and they would have to pick up at new sites.  Everything had to change up for now and Devante knew that once that was done and he had the info on Jerry he would have to go on the offensive.  Even if Jerry didn’t have anything planned Devante would still have to strike just incase Jerry wanted to make a move at a later date.  The chief of Finance who was also called the accountant would have to ensure that the money was still flowing in and out safely and change up all collection and drop off methods.

Devante knew war was costly and that they would have to strike with decisiveness.  Jerry could not be allowed to strike back so missing was not an option.  Carlos understood that he needed a good mix of defensive and offensive tactics and trained men to deliver what Devante was planning and needing.  Carlos already had names in mind, he just needed the go ahead and now he had it.  Carlos was making calls from a pay phone across town a place he has never been.  He called two men Romeo and Luis.  They were ex soldiers that had special training in combat tactics, long range shooting and with explosives.  They trained at Ft Benning Georgia for sniper school and Officer Candidate School.  They spent months in Florida learning field survival tactics.  Romeo was the best at long range shooting and Luis was a bomb maker at birth and they could do amazing things with a knife and they were deadly at close range and hand to hand fighting.   They were so good that they became trainers themselves.  However military pay was not as good as what they earn now nor would it ever be.

The call’s ended the same way they would bring a dozen men each that they trained and They would arrive in slow but steady stream.   Oscar set up in the basement of the drug store that had the pay phone.  He cut a small hole in the floor of the ceiling just below the phone booth so he could hear then he connected a hose to the booth so he could place the other end to his ear.  He listened to every call that was long distance at the times that he was given he started a half hour before and ended a half hour after just in case.  He wrote in shorthand making sure his notes captured the names of who, where and when as they were now able to piece together the whats and hows.  Manny got a room across the hall from Jerry and had three different women working for him.  One sat across the street and one down the street near where Jerry kept his car.  Each woman would exit Manny’s apartment the same time they heard Jerry leaving as he was a loud guy.  The three women rotated doing this, and they would even dye their hair different colors or wear wigs to fool Jerry who proved that he relied on his security to pay attention and like all men they never thought a woman would be the one to bring them to their knees.

                                                         Being out smarted

Two weeks had past and Devante had all his shipments rescheduled and pickups changed.  Romeo had arrived with twenty men that he trained in guerrilla warfare.  Luis was on his way next.  Oscar reported that he didn’t hear who they were talking to but everything was going to happen tonight or in two days.   Manny reported that Jerry snuck away at 4am that morning but his car was still in the lot and the only person that was spotted leaving was an old woman and she stepped into a taxi.  Jerry’s men checked out later that day.  They went in six different taxi cabs.  Devante wasn’t happy but he had soldiers with him and he was packing heat also.  Manny introduced Devante to his little cousin Chavez.   Chavez was first noticed by Carlos when they were in Texas.  Chavez was a sniper and a tracker for the US Army.  Chavez left to help out his father and hired himself out to hunt and kill coyotes.    Carlos saw Chavez shoot six of them in one day.  He also witnessed Chavez kill a brown bear up close and another that was coming towards them.   Chavez was known for not having fear when it came to fighting toe to toe and yet for being calm in tough spots.

Devante welcomed Chavez and as he did the phone rang.  Carlos answered then he turned to Devante and handed him the receiver.  The man on the other end was a manager of one of Devante’s Pharmacy stores in New York.  They had been robbed of their reup supply.   Devante was pisst but he maintained his cool as the cash collections happen two days prior.  The phone rang nine more times with the same news.  Devante had been robbed five New York stores two In Philly and three in Jersey.  He was now out of two million in pure cocaine and three in pure heroin.  This wasn’t something you could call the local cop’s about.  This was something that had to be handled among the two factions and Devante was about to release the dogs of war on Jerry.  Devante realized that Jerry was smart.  Jerry set Devante up, knowing that the Galindo Cartel would be busy changing up their route and routines.  They would safeguard their cash and also have their customers going to new safe pick up sites.  However the stores never move they keep reup stock and the only person that knew was someone in the cartel.  Jerry’s father and Devante’s father were extremely close.  Those two men were godfathers to each other's child.   They only grew apart when Jerry’s father betrayed the cartel hoping to take over power of the territory and when his plan was discovered he was executed.  As little boy’s they played bandits together.  They would also get ice cream from an old man named Emilio.  Devante’s father kept in touch with Emilio and was there when Emilio was dying.  Emilio told him that his godson was in Santo Padre living with his uncle and that Jerry had a daughter.

Devante told Carlos to make the call.  Carlos called Luis and said one word “Ahora” Devante then walked into the kitchen where the food was laid out for everyone there.  Devante sat down and smiled.  It was a week ago that Devante’s father called him and told him about Jerry’s family that was kept secret.  It was then that Devante told Carlos to send Luis to Santo Padre.  The plan was to snatch his daughter and uncle and take them to Columbia and hold them there until further notice.  Devante wasn’t worried because they can send more product north and set up their own security for the stores.  This was about dominance and the Cartel name must never ever be sullied. The Cartel name was at stake and Devante management skills were being looked at by the board of directors and if he wanted his father’s position this was the time to show he had the cahoonas to handle these types of events.

The Galindo’s strike back!

Luis spent three days in Santo Padre searching for the Fernandez family farm.   Then one day he was in a bar and heard a few soldiers talking about a wealthy drug lord paying their Colonel  to protect his family.  Luis followed the soldiers  at a distance as they drove away that evening.     He finally found the family’s ranch and then scoped out the positions of where the soldiers patrol and stay to get warm.  He drew out the farm house and the barn and the distance between the two fixtures and the road.  He marked the high ground and where snipers should be placed to cover the four approaches to the property.  He marked where a team was to be placed to prevent additional soldiers from approaching to provide support.  Luis stayed to observe the times of the changing of the guard.  He needed to know how many soldiers he was facing.  There was a changing of the guards every 8 hours and Luis counted about thirty men and he saw an elderly man and two young girls between the ages of 12 and 16.

In the wee hours of the morning Luis made his way back to the hotel where he was staying.  Luis rested then later that night he collected his team leaders.  He assigned the positions and explained the tactics and what they were facing.  He explained the number of soldiers  they were facing and that they had pistols and rifles.  Luis wanted them in small teams to get in close and disembol them and try not to alert the rest of the soldiers.  Luis wanted them to make the march from the north and south parking their vehicles a few miles away.  The sun would go down eight fifthteen pm and they would start moving in at nine pm towards the farm.  The last change of the guard occurred at midnight.  The next would be at eight am they would wait until one am and strike that would give them six plus hours to get away.  That afternoon he took them to the ranch and from the north they were looking down onto the ranch.  Marking their sectors of advancement they needed conduct to complete their mission.

Two team leaders would stay out and observe the changing of the guards and they were instructed to report back anything that was covered and not covered back to Luis.  Until it was go night.  Three more days past until Luis received a call from Carlos with a single word spoken.  The team leaders returned to the hotels and spoke with their team members.  The next night they drove out of the city and then they met at a nearby farm field and grouped into two trucks.  They drove one truck pulled off three miles from the ranch and drove towards the tree line and parked hiding the truck.  They sat and waited until nine pm before marching up to the ranch.  The second truck drove about three miles past the farm house and also drove into the tree lines. At nine pm they started making their way down towards the house.  Each team had a designated sniper and they set up in the best locations east west north and south.  South of the ranch was a high hill that team four sniper and Luis sat on.  To the west of the farmhouse was the tree line team two had a sniper sitting in a tree one covering the front of the house  while team three had a sniper covering the back of the farm house.  Team one had a sniper in the grassy field as they approached from the north of the farm. Teams five and six approached the east or road.

They were in position at 11:30 pm and the guard changed at midnight.  Then they went to work. They moved in on the soldiers in the outer perimeter first then closing in on the inner perimeter. The soldiers on the inner perimeter were drinking as they were standing around a bonfire.  The snipers in the treeline and grassy field were able to remove them as the teams stormed the barn removing the few that were trying to keep warm while teams also stormed the farmhouse.  Flashes of light were seen from outside of the house.   When it was all said and done the teams walked out with the two young girls and the old man.   A note was left on the table that read you took something that belongs to me and I have taken something that belongs to you.  Call this number.  That morning Jerry was notified of the event by Colonel Rodriguez.  Jerry was sick to his stomach.  He called the number it was Devante telling him to return the product that would save one life.  To bring with him ten million in US currency that would save another.  The last would be an exchange.  A life for a life, Jerry would not know which life he was getting for the drugs but assumed that it was his uncles as the Cartel could easily replace the drugs.  The two young girls one being his cousin and uncle's youngest child and the other his child.  Devante had already killed Jerry’s three cousins and their wives.

A Life for A Life

Jerry sat slumped in his chair wishing he listened to his uncle instead of exacting revenge against the cartel.  He agreed to bring the money and product back and but he would need three days to get the money in cash.  Devante warned him that if he made any attempt to deceive the cartel all three of them will die slowly as their heads would be separated from their bodies along with their arms and legs.  They would be mailed to his home one a day kept alive as long as possible until their head is removed.  Jerry began to sob asking him to give him the time to get the money together.  Jerry looked at the men with him and told them the deal and they were ready to go toe to toe.  Jerry told them that can’t be and they needed to protect his family and at some point seek revenge.  That they were to kill everyone of the leaders in the cartel.  They agreed to do exactly that three years from that day.  However what they did not know was that Devante wanted them dead too.  He called the accountant and informed her what was happening and that he wanted the Mexican Government to send in federal troops to strike down the rest of Jerry captains starting five days from today.

Jerry got the money and took an escort team to deliver it to the prescribed location.  Carlos was present with Romeo and his teams. They executed Jerry’s men in front of him one by one.  Then they took the drugs back and the money.  Carlos and Romeo took Jerry and placed him in a car. They drove off to another warehouse where Devante was waiting with Oscar and Manny and Chavez.   At the warehouse Jerry looked around and asked where his family was.  Devante nodded to Carlos who walked over to the phone and made a call.  He said to free them and leave, leaving the phone line active so they can talk to Jerry.  Jerry picked up the phone and the girls took the rope off Jerry’s uncle.  Jerry asked them several questions and the girls told him that the men drove off.   Then Devante took the phone and gave it to Chavez to hang it up.  Jerry then asked Devante how would he know that he kept his word.  Devante replied how do you know that I didn't?  Then Devante told Jerry to believe that he will if that would ease his mind.  Devante then looked at Carlos and Chavez and nodded.  They both stuck Jerry with an ice pick under his armpits.  Jerry arms dropped as he tried to keep them pressed against his torsel and fell to his knees in pain.  Jerry looked up at Devante that was sitting in front of him with a lit cigar.  Devante told him that he would bleed to death very slowly.  That the ice picks were dipped in garlic and rat poison to keep him bleeding.  Devante told him that he will not harm his girls and would leave them to care for his uncle.  Devante then told him that it was his uncle that betrayed his father and it was his uncle that put the bullet in his father's head.  Jerry looked at him in disbelief and then told him who everything went down.  That the Galindo family gave the Mexcians permission to execute him and that Jerry’s father was truly executed by his own brother Jerry’s uncle.   Jerry took four hours to die.  Devante had him buried in a coffin and given a proper burial.  Devante took the money and sent eight million dollars home and the other two million dollars he used to pay for the men that had a delay in their re-ups
