"So what's the story with Konny? He seems subdued, almost like he's trying to forget something. Five hundred bucks, it's a woman." Markos shook his head at Ric, the man was a known gossip in some fashion but he earned good money for the club. It was probably why he had earnt his patch but he would never become anything other than that, he just wasn't trusted to that station or high-level security. "I hear stories from Grim and Taza, apparently it has something to do with New York, apparently way back when...a friend of his died, she was special. Apparently she was his reason for continuing with the club, this life, he wanted to drop out and leave the gavel for Creeper. Everyone was preparing for it but here he is, leading us like a King." Markos hummed to himself, Konnor Marx was definitely something and maybe he could get over his issues but if it was brought to the table and affected business, the club would need to have a long talk with the King. Even if he was looking fine, they knew there was a fine difference and they needed him to be the Konnor Marx that could lead a club. "Well here's to the future and what we can get from it!" Markos stood from his seat, looking around and noticing a few brothers from out of town charters. They all looked to be having a good time, that was all that mattered right now. He noticed a few women looked at him, though he simply winked and offered them a nod as he walked outside, the hot beating sun was welcome on his skin. "Markie Boy! Prez wants to talk to you, make sure that everything is set to go with Leroy and the Basetown Tribe, we want to make sure that we can get everything up and running. I'm not having a fucking table sitdown without some clarity here. Go talk to him." Markos knew that his idea was not the best and he knew that some people were not on board with it but he could not let that get to him, he knew it would have to be different in that aspect. Brothers in the club did not necessarily mean that they all had to be chummy with one another all the time, brothers fought but in the end, they always came together for the club and what was right for it. Heading over to a few seats, Markos noticed Grim, Taza and Konny. They always sat away from everyone else, talking about things that seemed a bit different to the club life. Konny was the one who brought things to a difference, he never held himself like a king or demanded more tribute, though it was granted due to his seat at the head of the table. Konnor was now a middle-aged man, he was someone that held himself in different regard to that of his brothers. He did not wish for violence all the time, he had no need for it, his presence alone and his height made most people stop before even trying to fight against him. |

"Konnor, Swan told me that you wanted to talk business about the Basetown Tribe and Leroy." Konnor hummed, a stony smirk sat on his lips before offering the seat furthest away from him to Markos. The President never meant in a sign of disrespect but as to simply remind him that it was a precaution and due to his status in the club. "The cub comes to the jaws of the lion, speak young warrior and let us know your connection to Leroy and his Oakland heroin operation." Markos did not know much in that regard, he knew more than they did but that was because Leroy trusted him and wished to get in the club's good graces. Gun and Drugs often went hand in hand, the fallen angels dealt in both and this is how they worked, supplying one and getting the other. "I know that he makes Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand each month due to the Quality and Rate that he sells his product. He wishes to expand into Nevada with our support, California has been easy for him and so will Washington if we can support him in that direction as well." The money was something that caught the trio's attention but they made more than that already, it was the fact that an African-American operation made this much cash without anyone taking an interest. Something was up but they were not going to let Markos know that they thought such. "He wants to talk with one of you, see what the club thinks, he is willing to pay a million dollars upfront. Leroy wants the best for his boys, I can talk to him myself and see what he thinks but I want you to know that I wouldn't bring this to you if I didn't think he was legit about this type of lifestyle." The trio once more nodded, they didn't know what to think about this deal, Markos could have been greedy and kept this organization strictly to himself, he would have had enough guys to help him out. He was like enough but instead, he brought this to the club, that was what made them see him differently. "How much do you think that we can make of this off of a cut alone?" Grim was the one that asked, though he did not look outwardly interested, inside he was giddy, they had their hands inside all kinds of pie and Konnor was the one that reaped these benefits. This club was definitely looking different, it was no longer looking like it was going to be finished with months, gone were the days where numerous enemies popped out of the woodwork to take them down. "Three Hundred Thousand if we allow him to expand into Nevada, it would guarantee us a nice little cut but if we wish for more, we'd have to guarantee him some protection on the streets, the basetown tribe is easy pickings for the other MCs, the Vatos being among them due to their charters expanding in the California area as well. We need to ask ourselves, is this an investment worth our time." |

Sharing a look with the others, Grim knew that they both agreed with him. If they could earn one million as a base down payment and then an extra three hundred thousand for the simple allowance of letting them deal in the area. If they could mule and then assist in different ways, it would get the club a different kind of fee, that was something Grim and the others agreed on. "We'll bring this up at church, let the other brothers know, you did well bringing this to us Kid, thanks." Markos walked away, noticing that Konnor had given him a single look, almost like he had seen this idea somewhere before. Though how that was, Markos could genuinely say that he never knew. Insanity knew that he had to walk away, Kon seemed like he was some kind of different guy, almost like he had a different game up his sleeve. "He's a good guy, he just reminds me a bit of Mikey, the style he carries himself in. He's loyal, we give him that much and we know that he has earned that much. Bringing this to the table though, that's ballsy, he could have made off with Leroy and started his own little crew, he could have been big but he brought it to us." Konnor finally spoke as he watched the retreating form of the newest patched brother, these group of men had been here and they had witnessed the lowest points of the club. The name still carried some respect, Michael Pavanno, the now dead man had founded this great club and this is where they are right now, where they would always be and they carried the entire biker lifestyle on their laurels. "Mikey launched a coup and left us in control, even with what happened that day, he knew when his time was coming. He was a fighter and now his son is making their own moves across the world, rumours are that they are coming across the pond soon enough but that doesn't matter. Mikey is resting with the angels, what we need right now is to figure out if we can trust this guy." Taza had also spoken now but it was Konnor that raised an eyebrow and simply allowed his words, stating that they could trust him and that was it, there was nothing else to be said, the boys trusted him enough, knowing there would be nothing else and they were fine with that. If their President said that he was to be trusted, then that was it. Markos Iscariot would be trusted, for now, the fallen angels would not regret their decision, for Markos would begin an age of prosperity for the angels. |
