Dear Queen of Pain Started by: Crooner on Feb 19, '20 11:47

Dear Queen of Pain, this is my last serenade.

The noose is tight, baby
Just kick the stool.
I mean,
You kill me every time, baby
This shouldn't be new.
I can't deal with this, I tried, baby
Ooh what a fool.
Seduced and left behind, baby
Look what you do
to me,
You played me just right, baby
Played me so beautifully.
Gotta leave this thing behind us, baby
This doesn't do good to me
Your moves, so tantalizing baby, I admit I was hooked on it
You're so rude, no need to hide it saying you are just too busy
I assume that you are smiling as I cry in my room to sleep
Oh my muse, you've been so quiet lately making a fool of me
This is grueling, I'm tired baby, got no more fuel in me
to continue, every night is like you choose to keep bruising me
and this isn't how it should've been nor how it used to be,
I'm losing it, I think I never should've told you my dream
'cause I see
 you like to ruin it.
But I gotta thank you for this
I mean, I wouldn't be doing this
if it wasn't for your ruthlessness
Love, you make me feel stupid and
Hold on, I need to puke again
...
If I knew this is how us two would end,
My moon, I would've just needed to pretend
that we're too different to be friends.
But shit, now it's too late to repent.
Smile, Your Grace, you win.

And I guess this is a crooner's end,
I won't be thinking of you again.

Yours truly, my cruel friend.

Carol sat down at her desk, and began to pen a sincere letter.

Dearest Crooner,

The presence of your grandfather along side me is one that cannot be forgotten.  The conversations, writings, sincere flattery, and more will be something that I shall cherish. Alas, there comes a time when conversation's must come to a halt. You see, in time's of war, and blood shed, I have no time to waste.

Carol paused for a moment to think about all lives that had been lost before she continued on with her letter. Particularly the life of her dearest friend Cassi, who had been by her side through thick and thin.

When I took this position of power, I bit off more than I could chew. Something I often find myself doing quite a bit. I made a promise to myself that I would be loyal to all those who have dared choose to walk along side me through my journey. A promise I intend to keep until my very last breath in this thing of ours. Every single one of the people who stand behind me today is someone I would die for, regardless of their lineage. Personally, my own ancestors have seen a lot of love from strangers, and a lot of death at the hands of strangers. However, at the end of the day, I have cleared my own heart of any ill will or malice that I may have burdened myself to carry for them.

This being said, I have forgiven your grandfather for his actions. If this poem penned to me is in hopes of an explanation, I shall give one to you. The last I had seen your grandfather, we were on a ship. A great big battleship in fact. Our last conversation was a very short one. He had walked up to me, on said battleship, and apologized. Before I could ask him what for I had watched as he jumped off the ship and plummeted to his death. It was a moment I couldn't understand, one that made me have to stop for a second to think in the midst of all the chaos around me. When I had turned around, I had seen your father on the opposing ship. The exact same ship that I had been fighting against for hours. Why your grandfather thought your father would be better off on the opposing ship is something I would never fully understand. Although, you must know that I do forgive him.

In regards to being called rude for when I say I am busy, I honestly am. Recently becoming inbetween two jobs, one being in the ER and one being at the clinic, my limited personal life, and having tons of other people who want my attention, I find it very hard to manage it all. I sincerely apologize if you have ever felt like I wasn't there enough for you. I never ever would want anyone to hurt over the things I have done. Take it with a grain of salt if you must, but I firmly believe I have never gone out of my way to intentionally hurt someone.

My dear muse,

My love, you made me happy.
How long could I have waited for this to happen
again, I don't know. But I know that now I get it.

I'm sorry, my words were intended to be harsh and
that isn't the way to solve this.
I was mad, I beg your pardon.

May the winds cover your skin gently
carrying all the kisses I'm sending.

Take care,
and here I end this.

(sorry I have to rhyme everything)

The pain shall be mine, but thine shall be the praise, my eternal muse.
