I come before you all today to announce what I expect to be an advantageous enterprise. That is, the establishment of a new family that is rooted in the values that we've all come to know and love that will contribute to the creation of a new status quo for the community. I have spoken in length with current family heads about this decision, and have their overwhelming support. Therefore, in a few short moments, I will be opening my headquarters in Los Angeles. I am very much aware that there is a superfluity of crews. However, I believe that the underworld is at a crucial stage of development, in which many voices must be heard and many ideas must come together for a better—and more prosperous—future. Within a few weeks, I've no doubt that the structure of the Six Cities will stabilize, and so it is imperative that different families are given the opportunity to share opinions before routines become cemented and habitual. If there is ever a time for change, it is now. It is at this moment that innovation and creativity from some of our world's brightest minds have the ability to collaborate without prejudice and hostilities forcing an impasse. I encourage every member of this community to contribute to this discussion by speaking with his or her family or in the streets. Family is very important to me. Each crew here should strive to become more than just a band of criminals. To me, the difference is in the realization of the family's precedence over the individual by each member of the organization because of the trust and respect within it. Criminals act in their own self-interest. We are above common criminals, though. We're Mafiosi. Though each family may hold certain convictions, these should not be the source of petty rivalries. There is no reason why we cannot discuss these and act diplomatically. At the same time, do not mistake my willingness to use words for weakness or naivety. I will not fail to act when necessary and I will be resolute in my decisions. Finally, I would like to thank the current family heads for granting me this opportunity. The respect I have been shown has been tremendous and I expect to work closely alongside many already-recognized crewleaders. With that said, I give you the Catalyst Conspiracy. Thank you. |

I know that I am deeply honored to be working by your side, just as our great-great (…great?) Grandfather and Grandmother did such a long time go. You hit on some major points, Rhett. Family is what this thing of ours is all about, and we at The Intellect Society know this as well. We are also striving to bring our family closer together, and to liven up, and energize, our streets. I have great confidence in you, old friend. Congratulations. |
