It had taken hours to finally put all of Philly's foes in the ground. But, after the dust settled, it soon became clear that Philly was due for an expansion. Iris, who had recently been drafted in as Javier's LHM in times of war, had shown her loyalty, courage, and leadership time and again despite spending only a week and a half in his service. Outside of the King of Philly, Iris was the first to make her bones in the Medellin, and Javier knew she was ready to take the leap.

This world is in dire need of a coffee hook-up. And the Medellin's roots in Colombia have borne delicious and addictive fruit by importing only the best coffee beans that can be found anywhere in the United States. I have appointed Iris as my captain in these endeavors to operate as the head of this Java Cartel. From now on, if you're looking for the best caffeine fix in the seven cities, you can go to her. And she'll probably hook you up.

Gyranit stops and listens to Javier speak and smiles "Now this is a crew name i have heard of before i do expect good things for you guys, big congratulations". Gyranit steps back into the crowd after nodding to Javier and shaking the hand of Iris.

She smiles with pride at Javier and shakes his hand. Her own hands shaking with excitement. Exclamation points abound in her head. 

Thank you for showing faith and trust in me, sir. I cannot tell you how much this means to myself and those that call The Java Cartel their home away from home. You have no idea how proud I am to be associated with you.

She adjusts the collar of her jacket to block the winter breeze.

I'll try not to let you down... Except on Wednesdays when Prozac and DeathlyHallows run and hop around naked. It's their therapy. I will try to keep them indoors, but no guarantees. 

She takes a small package from her purse containing a sample of her latest roast and a cookie for Javier.

MissNiki had been excited to hear that Iris would be setting up her own crew.  She had heard stories of her ancestors and knew that she was fully capable of running a crew and helping to build Philadelphia into a thriving city. Plus, the woman made a bad ass cup of coffee. She stepped out into the cold street and offered her congratulations to the coffee queen of Philadelphia. 

Congrats Iris . This is a huge win for the city of Philly to have you in a leadership position. Let me know if there is every anything I can do for you!

As she stepped away to go back to Medellin headquarters, the final pieces of confetti were hitting the ground around her feet. 

BudKnight had recently returned from a trip to Colombia where he helped smooth some things over in the cocaine industry that his crew was associated with. It was a magnificent quest that has led to his new love of not only beer, but Cocaine....magnificent cocaine....wonderful cocaine...

Now he was hearing news of the great Kingdom of Philadelphia getting into the coffee business. He had not had a coffee before as he tended to only drink the amazing Bud Light and an occasional water or glass or milk. He had heard good things about this coffee product though as he knew so many Americans drank it each day. So he quickly got to writing a letter of congratulations to the fine lady Iris.

Dear Iris,

Congratulations on your new venture here in the Kingdom of Philadelphia. The Java Cartel shall be a fine addition to the Medellín crew. In the journals of my ancestors I have read good things about this “Java Cartel” that has been around in the past. I believe the Kingdom benefits greatly from your leadership. If you are ever in need of a Knight to accomplish some sort of quest then please do not hesitate to send a messenger for me! Good luck and thank you for all you have done and will do!

With that he folded the letter neatly and sealed it with wax before attaching it to a raven to fly it across the district to the Java Cartel headquarters... 

Gary shuffles out of the new HQ in his bathrobe rubbing his eyes. He takes a sip of his coffee and smiles.

While it is entirely too early to be outside, it seems I have once again found myself part of your squad and I couldn't be happier. I am excited to be part of The Java Cartel and know with you at the helm we are in good hands.

I'm looking forward to watching us add more rooms to the HQ as we grow!

Gary grabs the paper and heads back inside to his comfy chair.
