The Robot Mafia: Here to Help. Started by: TheDonBot on Mar 09, '20 04:16

TheDonBot knew that it would be awhile before Clamps and Joey Mousepad returned from their mission of handing out MR-U pamphlets and so he decided to partake in one his favorite activities; getting lubed and oiled up. He had an entire chamber designed and constructed within the basement of his HeadQuarters specifically for this purpose and felt no shame in hiding the rooms existence from his henchmen. They would likely discharge their old fluids on the floor and clog up the plumbing.

Abolishing that thought from his head completely TheDonBot headed for the chamber and drew himself an enormous barrel full of a strange looking hot liquid; a mixture of oil and a special blend of coffee beans. Though consumption of caffeine wasn't necessary, being a robot and whatnot, TheDonBot found that the after-scent it created made the humans more likely to continue conversing with him. He sank his metallic frame into the concoction and titled his head back until it rested upon the side of the barrel.

All too quickly TheDonBot fell asleep and found himself being vigorously prodded in the face by an unknown object. Instincts kicked in and his arm lunged forward with incredible speed and accuracy, completely crushing the...broom, to pieces, TheDonBot realized as he blinked his eyes a few times... His henchmen apparently did know about the 'secret' chamber after-all; as Clamps and Joey Mousepad both stood a few feet back from the barrel of hot liquid. TheDonBot grabbed a piece of the splintered broom (now soaked in the coffee-bean-oil combination) and slapped it across Clamps' face, as he was the one holding the other end of the broken broom. Not allowing his boss any time to start ripping into them, Joey stepped one step closer towards TheDonBot and spoke mildly,

"Uhhh... boss? You been to the mechanic lately?? We could hear you snoring before we even got through the front door! Sorry about the broom but we know you hate being pried from your sleep. Anyway... we did what you said and got a whole lot of those fliers about that school you was talkin' about handed out to the public. And remembers this morning at breakfast you told us you had to go out front and make an announcement? Well...it's about that time. A lot of the humans seemed interested in the pamphlets about MR-U and I think a few of them followed us. We thought it best to not kill 'em yet and get you. And say, how come we didn't know about this room before now?" Joey immediately ceased talking as TheDonBot stood up and dripped oil everywhere, flashing metal bits that no being - robotic or otherwise - should ever have to see.

"Joey, do me a favor and shut the hell up, would'ya? Thanks for the reminder about that speech though. I'll see you boys back here later - and clean this mess up!" TheDonBot retorted, walking to the closet to procure towels with which he thoroughly wiped himself off before exiting the chamber. It didn't take long for him to reach the steps of his HeadQuarters.

"Ladies, Gentlemen, as many of you by now have been made aware, The Robot Mafia have been selected by the Council to establish an environment within Pasadena to help inform the less criminally-inclined/knowledgeable people of our world. While of course this is a task that poses no challenge to us, it has been brought to our attention that there is only so much one organization can do to shed light to this particular cause. After careful consideration and multiple conversations with important people, we have decided to extend our 2-week crash training course to members that find themselves outside the realm of 'freshly off the boat'. What does this mean for the public? Originally, only people recruited directly by The Robot Mafia would have been eligible to reap the benefits of our establishment. With this newly improvised plan, other organizations from across the nation can send off their particularly...special associates to enroll in The Robot Mafia under our 2-week crash training course. Note that I said associates - people who have earned their Made Man button are ineligible for this program. What is this good for you might ask? Perhaps your organization has too many youngsters to adequately ensure each one is getting the specific training that they require to be the best they can be... Perhaps you have one-too-many Wise Guys that just can't seem to get the grasp of things well enough for you to trust them on a level that you'd feel comfortable promoting them... Perhaps you just want to send a Sponsor over this way to help spread information/recruit for your own Organizations. The Robot Mafia does not care about retaining members nor will it induct many Made Men into its' ranks, however it is aligned with the idea of the Council that a more complete teaching environment be made available and that is what we intend to do. Those partaking in the 2-week crash training course will have the option to opt-out before the full term is up, however, both inductees into the program and Representatives of other organizations will only have fourteen days to either learn, or respectively promote their associated organization."

TheDonBot took a breath for the first time in what felt like an eternity - more of a reflex than anything - and felt a breeze flutter across his frame. Taking a glance down he realized that he had made the entire speech from the porch of his HeadQuarters...without putting his suit on. Wonderful, TheDonBot thought before letting out a deep sigh.
