Why am i writing this post?

Transferred my portfolio to Charles Schwab who offers the same $0 fees last week after I lost money when RH crashed multiple days. I'd been using it for a couple years up until that point, and was pretty satisfied with their system.

I exclusively traded options, which they make extremely easy to get into. Withdrawing cash to my bank only took 24hrs. Deposits are instantly available if its under $2k.

If you are just getting into the market, or are looking for an easy-to-use stock platform, it doesn't get easier than RH. If you are interested in crypto or daytrading, take a look at some other alternatives.

Definitely a +1 from me on Schwab, although Robinhood is dead simple to use and is great for people starting out.  Props to them for starting the fee free model for stock brokerage fees.

Robinhood is the worst "brokerage" I have ever used. First of all, during the heavy volatility a month ago the app crashed several times (once for an entire day and no it was not because of the market being halted). That caused people to not be able to buy or sell, which is a huge issue if you're a brokerage. Second, if you trade options they will actually force sell options for you because they deem them "too risky" and we aren't talking about selling naked puts, we are talking I had puts, calls, verticals, etc. that my only risk was the cash I paid for the contract and they sold them for me at a loss because they deemed the position too risky...next day that position would have made me money. Then when you try to get in contact with their customer service there is no number to call and the email support you get is terrible. The only thing Robinhood is useful for is getting a free share of stock. Don't just take it from me, Google the issues with Robinhood and you'll see how bad they are. Hell go to Reddit cause it's on there too. You would be much better off using something like TD Ameritrade Think or Swim, which also has commission free trading and has a boatload more tools for you to use and learn with. 

I've been studying crypto exchanges lately.  Don't really have any money that I can invest but having fun applying things I'm learning about trading to games I play.
