VIP Credit Robin Hood Started by: Grin-07 on Mar 16, '20 17:22

I am Grin-07, the 7th in the beautiful line of Grin's who have recently graced these shores. We have ranged from the lowliest Thug all the way to the most esteemed rank of Wise Guy - potentially the highest a Grin can manage, not yet confirmed - and I hope to emulate their great and numerous successes.

During our tenure here, we have witnessed many-a Grayson and Sacramoni plunder the riches of the Gods. They came to the Streets and Instinct'd themselves before us all, pilfering payments for their works and using them for what I can only assume were nefarious and probably really boring purposes. I tire of seeing one person claiming to be two and being rewarded for it. Devante's should not sneer at us from their 3-lined ivory towers. The cycle of bullshit, to borrow a phrase, must stop and I, not-quite-Wise-Guy Grin-07, hope to buck that trend.

I will be giving away any reward I receive to whomever comes here to take it from me on any given day. It is my goal to reclaim my position in the upper echelons of those favoured by the Gods, commonly known as the VIP Rankings, and bring an end to Al_Capone's reign of terror. No longer will we allow the less-popular co-editor to laud his status over us. I will delve deep into the Godly coffers and pluck out my just desserts, then I will give them to those too lazy or incapable of earning them for themselves. I will indiscriminately give them out to whomever comes forward to take them, deserving or otherwise; it seems the only fair way.

Now, as my works have already received heavenly praise, which isn't surprising given they are pretty fucking good, I have my first apple from the Credit Garden of Eden to offer around. All I ask in return for this harvest is that you come out here and offer your thanks. It needn't be a long message, just a small nod, from one not-so-Wise Guy to another.

Anyway that's enough chit-chat from me. My man-servant, PhilipMarleauJr, has your treat. Here, take a bite.

Scott stands watching the man called Grin speak slowly smoking a cigarette. A piece of paper was handed through the crowd to Scott

Scott looks at the piece of paper walks closer to Grin " Thank you my good sir" Scott offers the man a nip of whiskey and a cigarette

Blitzkrieg followed the sound of a godlike baritone masculine voice coming from a street corner nearby. He drifted toward the heavenly sound and stopped in front of Grin-07

"All hail Grin the 7th of his name king of the Andals and the street corners".

Big Al Capone, the Sheriff of Creditham, was repulsed to see flecks of dirt drying on his shoes - the most expensive credits could buy. He was not used to trudging down to the lowlier parts of the Streets, where VIP rankers like PhilipMarleauJr, #13, made their meagre collections. This was a long way from where a #1 should be seen. Upon learning of young Grin-07's new initiative, he had immediately sent for The List to determine the importance of the street urchin challenging his rule, only to discover - in a wave of revulsion - that he was unranked. The nerve of the boy.

He watched with distaste as the Street serf's snatched and crawled through the mud for their hand-outs, noting that he had likely received a new shipment of credits merely in the time it's taken to cast an eye on the insolent upstart.

Funt way of giving reward but being late aint so funny, hope all are good and having it the best while Grin having it good trying to be nice to people tossing out some small cred that made  one glad :p

The last of Kurt's nicotine filled treat burst into a display of orange as the cherry hit the pavement. The lowly gangster stepped forward with his fingertips sliding off of Jessie 's back.

"What a kind gesture from such a storied name as yourself, Grin-07 . It wakes up something deep within the mafioso in us all to see someone take from those with coffers we deem too lined and give back to the little guy. I'll have to catch my morning coffee a bit earlier to not get here so slowly next time this generous offer has been gifted down upon us peasants of the realm."

With a smirk, Kurt faded back into the crowd next to his wife and off into obscurity.

What Grin do now will be remembered long by many in those time after this war when so many got killed in a big surprise that really let many be mad and sad and dont even wants to be nice anymore among others, Grin got accused to be one reason thatt he war happened but this was really bad news, good turn there and hope that he gets alog this seventh time a bit longer and make sure to put a good mark who he really is.

Beat it, TotallyLost. Your type of drivel is not welcome in this wonderful place, even if it is accurate albeit misguided praise of my good self. This is meant to be a stand against the duopoly shit sandwiches of our world. PhilipMarleauJr, please escort him out of here - he is not welcome to any reward until he smartens up his act.

Kudos to Scott-Weiland on getting it. Good job. Thank you also to Blitzkrieg.

Al_Capone, I think with your checkered past in these Streets you should probably be on best behaviour. Didn't you recently get outed as producing a factually questionable Mafia Handbook? Maybe if you spent less time mixing up your Bugsy and your Buggs, you might have been able to hang onto that button.

Now, with the pleasantries out of the way and the riff-raff run out of town. I, and my associate Little Pip Marleau over there, have further goodies to award. Go on, dig in you scoundrels. Enjoy the spoils.

Can I be your Maid Marian?

flutters eyelashes

Oh Grin-07, you're such a dreamboat.

Report Post Tip

The Sheriff of Creditham could not believe how overweening the young credit bandit was proving to be.

"I'm starting to see why TotallyLost guy made quick work of calling you a funt and blaming you for wars. I dare you to find even one error in The Gangster's Handbook, a superlative foothold in my climb to #1. It is so thorough and impeccable a work that reading it may even make a gangster out you."

The idea of these vulgar credit highwaymen siphoning off his supply was nauseating. Al wasn't sure how much longer he could stick around this side of the Street, surrounded by these peasants. It seemed damp, humid, dry and dusty all at once. Was this really how these #10 and overs lived?

Besides, he had other worries. He was beginning to lose major credits to #2 VinAndVal, who was at this very moment chewing scenery down the road in a blatant coup attempt at the top spot. Absolutely mutinous behaviour.

Please send all nice things directly to me, as I cannot be bothered to come here to claim them.

Report Post Tip

Grin-07: Sorry if I made you the wrong way, just wanted to praise you, thats all, think you doing a good job and praise you for that and nothing else, something tells me your an awesome one and you really enjoy many and hope you continue to do this.

Al_Capone: I didnt mean any harm by that you think of, life is to short to not trying to hafe a great time together and hope all are good. This little peasant is a nice one that love most people before they show anything else towards him.

Hope Robin Hood continus to flourish the earth with his good things he always shows at is best.

In these troubling times of mass VinAndVal cocksuckery, rewards from the Credit Garden of Eden have been slimmer than expected for everyone's favourite VIP Credit Hero. Despite this setback, I am pleased to report that I have climbed to take my place at the Credit Gods left hand and fully expect to be appropriately compensated for such commitment.

With this in mind and having now successfully run that charlatan Al 'honestly I'm a Wise Guy' Capone out of the Wiseatorium, I feel it is time to celebrate. PhillipMarleauJr might be in the wind doing God only knows what, but fortunately for all of you, I've mastered the art of packaging these heavenly delights myself.

I invite the purest among you, those with the least pride and no scruples, to come forward and claim this bounty. Worship accordingly, please.

Kelly flounces into the room with a hop, skip and jump.  As the wind blows her skirt about her knees she begins to speak.......

Grin, Grin, Grin.  How generous of you.  Long has your bloodline been known for their kindness and generosity, long may it continue.

Waves the bond around in the air manically......

Report Post Tip

Al had settled into life as #2 since the usurper VinAndVal had stolen his crown and ran off with the spoils of the top seat. The credit shipments were still coming in regularly, enough so that construction had resumed at Chateau Capone and the alterations to his luxury budget were barely noticeable. He had made his way back down to the slums of The Streets to cast his eye once more on the general peasantry, where schmucks like iocaste (#14 on The List) begged for VIP scraps.

"A meagre 3 credits from your precious RobGrin Hood, pathetic!", he cried at the stink of their unwashed masses. It was hard to tell one from the other as they huddled together for warmth, a sea of filthy non-VIP beggars and miscreants. It seemed their mighty hero, languishing at #3, had not quite brought this depressing community the riches he had promised.

Report Post Tip

Iocaste did not even noticed his rise into the the top 15 until being told by Al_Capone. Was this really the life full of debauchery and depravity he had been told about ? When would the expensive wines and exotic gourmet meals be brought to him ? Until now, he saw more workers rushing to Al_Capone's estates than goodies being sent his way.

There is definitely something fishy about this. But since like every good lion, he was very curious in all ichthyology matters, he would wait and see what trick the wisest of wise guys would perform next.

Report Post Tip

Usually I try to distance myself from Al_Capone, except when we are working together which is most of the time. Right now though, for once, he probably has the right of it. iocaste is a schmuck and I could probably have dished out further heavenly morsels than I have done. Honestly, the shittery put forward has deprived me of these goodies and I was just enjoying them for myself having forgotten entirely about promising to give them out.

Still, I'm a man of my word and I have ever been a champion of the people. Therefore, I am going to up my VIP Robin Hooding level, which is currently around the lowly VIP dungeon of #13-15, where the likes of by-default-Zoro and future-rug iocaste dwell and into the stratospheric heights befitting of #3. I want to be an example, not just a guy wearing green tights barely better than the also-rans.

So here, have this bad boy on me. Usual rules apply.

Report Post Tip

You know what, it's early Monday morning and I have to go to work soon so I'm feeling extra generous. We've got an issue over in Cogburn's HQ because apparently the wing of the 30 man building we handed to EulaGoodnight was contiguous with the South Wing which we gave over to the fresh recruits, of which there are none, and this is resulting in his lack of sleep. Noise complaints, despite being largely beneath a paragon of importance such as myself, still need to be dealt with and I do have a lot of experience of handling petty disputes having cut my teeth in the Fat People New Chronicle Mail Room. Therefore it falls to me to sort out this non-existent problem in the morning. Make more noise, that's the solution.

Anyway, you know what helps me deal with life's little wrinkles? Stealing credits from the rich and giving them out to the....well whoever bothers to claim them really. Except VinAndVal who deserves absolutely none. And DrFeelgood who recently slew rogue right in front of my eyes. Disgusting behaviour.

Report Post Tip

Cogburn, feeling very much deserving of all the fruits of Grin's labor, grabs the latest offering.

"Thanks Grin-07! Good work."  She pauses a moment, thinking maybe she should say more, but also feeling like that seems like way too much work.  The moment passes and she runs off to enjoy the rest of her day.

Report Post Tip

Cogburn, you are welcome to your undeserved reward. Now, as many of you will know from avidly following these chronicles, I embarked on this journey with green tights, a sacred calling and a man-servant. Unfortunately I now only have two of those things as PhilipMarleauJr is feared to have fallen beneath the ice and perished in horrible circumstances. I can feel him shivering in my dreams but no matter how hard we search the frosty waters of the Chicago Business District we cannot find him. I am therefore putting a call out for any information about his whereabouts and would be very grateful if someone can return him to me unmolested, although I appreciate this might not be totally possible.

To encourage you to search for clues about the suspected demise Mr MarleauJr, I am using my vaunted position as a VIP Goliath to offer significant rewards. You should note these are actual rewards unlike the last one which seems to have perhaps been a duplicate of an earlier one. My bad guys, although you're getting free things so also shut the fuck up and find my Philip. Godspeed.
