| The once great statue of Bearderus | Started by: Dorothy on Mar 17, '20 16:59 |

The news was out the United nations was moving to Seattle! The soon to be old crew HQ is bustling with activity, MaxHardcore and Blitzkrieg packing boxes with EvilClown hurrying around trying to herd the sheep's in the right direction. Dorothy sits quietly in the corner planning, EvilClown had given her an important task. Perhaps the most important task of all in the move. Before they could join their friends in Seattle they had to make one important stop. A pilgrimage of sorts to one of the most holiest of places. Some time later under the shelter of darkness a small group of people are leaving the HQ. Dorothy leading the small group to a private plane waiting for them. They travel in somber silence, the importance of the trip weighing heavily on their mind. As the plane lands in Chicago they are met by their local guide, a strapping young boy wearing tight leather chaps going by the name of Grin-07, he had taken some time of from his job moonlighting as male gogo dancer and more down at the old Cap'n Bob. This was a risky hire Dorothy knew, Grin-07 was known as a simpleton, he was known to make PhilipMarleauJr look like a man with a Primary school education. But when it came to the place they where going (pluss general knowledge of the lgbtq+ alt-right scene in Chicago) he was the man you had to speak to. After a extaning a few pleasantries Grin-07 leads them to what they are seeking. Turning to the group he starts speaking. This as you all know is the statue of Bearderus, at least it used to be before it got covered in birdshit. Fittingly some might say... But as I understand it you are here to honour his memory and pray for good fortune in your future endeavours. Dorothy looks disappointed at where the simpleton is pointing. She can barely make out a gold statue of a puny little man with a shitty excuse for a beard underneath the heaps of pidgeonshit covering it. She shoots EvilClown a look. What the hell is this boss? Is that supposed to be the great statue of Bearderus, I have to be honest this is not what I imagined it and I cant imagine paying homage to this shit covered thing is going to bring us much luck. |

The 'strapping' ferret like Grin-07 was hopping from foot to foot, obviously the spice and poppers combination was beginning to wear off. Something the clown knew that PhilipMarleauJr had recently introduced him to - you can tell by the way he walks and hobbles along. The Clown looks over at the ferret and raises a painted eyebrow.. "You can leave us now... we intend to pay our respects" The Clown throws what appears to be a box of muesli at Grin-07 who departs, scene left promptly, waddling away with that slack expression on his face he likes to convince people is a smile. "The time has come people... The time to pay our respects to one who is sitting as the head of Chicago. Too long has this place remained empty after being defiled by an ancestor of mine those long years ago" (OOC learn about this here) "I made a promise to myself to right those wrongs and today is the day." Right on cue a fleet of @Eddie_Stobart wagons begin to arrive in the square, the team from the United Nations roll up their sleeves, begin the unload and get to work. It's a long night, but after many hours a huge monstrous shape begins to form around the once revered centre piece of Chicago... The last of the trucks depart and the team stand back to admire their work... The largest Papier-mache chicken ever known to man has been erected just off the central district of the loop. "Now that people" the Clown gasps as he stands back in awe "Will be known as one of the new wonders of the world" With a final flourish a packet of crayons is pulled from a sleeve, a mounting block at the chickens feet is given a final rub and the clown scrawls in barely legible script:
