Creative Mania Started by: DeathQuill on Mar 27, '20 14:57

Hello all!

I am DeathQuill, DQ for short. Many of you don't know me, and that is okay. Today, I stand here, on the streets of Los Angeles, amidst war and thunder. Gunfire is heard every other minute. People dearest to us are dying out there, People we have worked hard for, people who we've had fun with, made memories. I know what it is like to lose people close to you, and I know it too well. It may seem like throwing in the towel, give up and leave, without a cause to live for.

But I urge you, there are my wonders in our life here. I would like to start this corner with poetry and stories, creations that give you an outlet to express those feelings you've kept hidden deep down in your psyche. I bring to you,

Creative Mania

To start with, I will be posting some pieces of Poetry to gain closure with issues I have had, challenges I have faced. I hope you will like them and in time, maybe even feel the vibe to post your own pieces. Stay safe, and wonderful. :)

I call this one Industrial Maniac. Hope you like it   :)

I'm a maniac,

Virgo is my zodiac

At night I be an insomniac

Getting asthma attacks

Parents want me to make a plan

My sis thinks I’m batman,

Her best man

Was Aquaman a merman?

I’m not a fisherman,

boy,

I’m the abominable snowman.

Society shows me possibilities

To take control of my insecurities

Lift up my responsibilities

School facilities

Surrounded by them nobilities

I’m stretching my capabilities

In my veins coursing, there is electricity.

Never was good at math

But they call me a polymath

Primrose patch,

God I want a rematch

No, an escape hatch

Keep your badge,

Let me detach

‘Coz I’m not a catch.

Edward Thatch,

Calico Jack,

Even Igor the hunchback

They were off the rack

Really whack

Roll back,

Toe crack

Have a flapjack, you wisecrack.

My  flight has been hijacked

My consciousness, kidnapped

I need to adapt

Make sure I make an impact,

Gift Wrapped,  what is this witchcraft

‘Bout to collapse

In this never-ending world of attacks

Lips chapped

Legs strapped

Soul trapped

Name scrapped

Potential untapped, uncapped

This world has been unmapped

Good night,

Jedi Knight

Green lights

For a gunfight

On the granite

With them green eyes

Get the french fries

Make a franchise

Before you compromise

Analyze, Don’t idolize

Improvise, Don’t paralyze

Visualize, that Nobel Prize

Be a samurai

This is an industrial enterprise.

Interesting Chap I say, This Gentleman Pick up his quill and notebook to write an entry too

The Opera of Time

By Picajas, J

People walking pass by me while i remain in steady pace admiring the scene in front of me the works of the so called fate and grand scheme of things that society follows is so grandiose and pleasing to the eyes

A sight to be scene it forms a aesthetic and mysterious feeling

everything is moving everyone is normal this is the cycle we follows all things must move like the hand of clock or the grain of sand in the hourglass that is ticking one by one

each individual had a variety of piece that they play in to make this things move and form of uniformity in order to work this things out

When i step back i realized that this is the ephemeral work of time the greatest show that i watch and participate

BlackFyre! BlackFyre!

Raze my soul

BlackFyre! BlackFyre!

Craze thy ghouls

BlackFyre! BlackFyre!

Set them out

Set them free

Let them sniff me out

Send them in

Up those trees

Show them thy freak

BlackFyre! BlackFyre!

Raze my soul

BlackFyre! BlackFyre!

Craze thy ghouls

BlackFyre! BlackFyre!

Gave me my oxygen

Doesn’t mean you can kill me then!

You took my sooouuuuul

And you’re playing foul

BlackFyre! BlackFyre!

Raze my soul

BlackFyre! BlackFyre!

Craze thy ghouls

BlackFyre! BlackFyre!

I got voices in my head

They have been overfed

I survive by the doses;

The doses of loyal faces

The voices have exploited my mental spaces

Meanwhile

Traces of joyful poisons of the voiceless

Optimism increases

Pessimism destroys us

And my royal vices feel joyless

They said I can’t rhyme

I said “Wait a while

While I design the required rhymes”

And in pursuit of the perfect

I produced the respect
When I said,

I'm in the prime of my time

if the art of rhyme was a crime

On the grind unlike the mimes and I gotta make some dime

I refuse to lime while they resign a certain Patrick Klein

while I unleash my Frankenstein

Bring you some swine in fine dine and allow me to align with thine as I combine and refine my skills to further my shine

See, It’s not just enough to rhyme,

You gotta define the rhyme

I admit I’m not Adam Levine

Neither am I the ketchup Heinz

Ha-Ha

Fine,

God must send a sign?

That line wasn’t part of the design

But here we are ‘coz you questioned my spine

There was a time when I reflected upon my depression

And requested a suggestion

But they inflamed and threatened and tested their test

And stressed

And pressed

And the voices, they took vengeance

Unharnessed total destruction

Why?

‘Coz I was a mess then.

I call this one, Hey Society!

You're a micromanager,

My heart is in the dumpster

I'm not your soldier,

Every time I get a little stronger,

You call me a loser

A failure

Well guess what?

I am my master

Much faster

I am a leader

Much smarter

I am a survivor

I fight harder

You can't accept me?

You don't like change, I see

Explains why you cast me aside

You didn't want me to infect your mind

Am I a monster?

No, but you made me one.

It's true I don't have a religion

Nobody asked for your opinion,

It's true my course is set on the horizon

Might end in collision

It's my decision

In that case, I'm an angel that is fallin'

The poison is working,

I feel golden

I don't need your pardon.

Depression and beats

What’s it take to be at peace?

Depression and beats

What’s it take to beat these streets?

Depression and beats

What’s it take to defeat this disease?

Depression and beats,

Depression and beats,

What the fuvk is depression and beats?

Depression and beats,

Depression and beats,

I’m sick and tired of this dispeace

Depression and beats,

Depression and beats,

Help me beat this rhyme-scheme

Ay, My dada once told me,

“All good folks have da struggle”

Ay, My mama once told me,

“We work so you don’t have the trouble”

Ay, ten years went by

‘Fore I realized my struggles

Ay, I miss the times I felt like a mughal

Depression and beats,

The voices need to cease

Depression and beats,

I need the kiss of peace

Depression and beats,

Read on this piece

I used to think poetry is just the rhymes

But it’s about reading between the lines

Each piece aged like wine

Sometimes words sound fancy

Notably, a “pagoda-tree” or “jewelry”

You gotta infuse the words with emotions

Show the world your broken

Gotta expose the unspoken

And then we can talk about moving oceans

Depression and beats,

What exactly is this piece?
Depression and beats,

Rhymes deplete

Depression and beats,

Let me hurry and cheat defeat

This poem is about me

To show you my memories

Let’s do a rhyme switch

Depression; I always thought I didn’t have any

So slowly I slipped into misery

They said my life was pretty

Turns out everything’s pretty to the people of fifties

When I asked, “Why do I live?”
Nobody answered me

They said “Don’t ask questions like that, what’re you, suicidal?”

When I asked, “Why was I born?”
Nobody answered me

They said “Don’t ask questions like that, what’re you, suicidal?”

So I stopped asking,

Until the era changed

And then everybody kept asking,

“Why do you live?”

“Why were you born?”

Bruh, I don’t know,

I grew up in the 2000s

My idea of a good life was an idea visualized by a mouse of the name Mickey

My idea of a good life, they said, was to own a Mercedes

My entire life, they told me what my idea of a good life should be

My entire life, they talked about having a life

My entire life, they talked about “livin the life”

Well I ain’t no Yogi Bear so pardon me

If I ask you, “Are y'all a hippie?”

The chorus is shot

I lost sight of the plot

So let me lock back into the spot,

Much like an Autobot

My life

I don’t know what I’m doing

I don’t know where I’m going

I don’t know how I’m doing

And I don’t know when I’m going

All I have to show for my life

In case tomorrow I die,

In case somebody wants to know my fight,

Just read my pieces

Understand my emotions

For my existence

Is a breach of the peace

Between depression and beats.

Her eyes sparkle

Her mind is a marvel

A beautiful personal

Her existence, a pinnacle.

Her neurons have started to fire,

She's a matchstick of diamond

Turning brighter and sharper

She's on a mindless island

Smarter and Hotter,

A real charmer,

She's lightning and thunder.

Her beauty,

She's like an actress from a movie,

Makes me go crazy,

Pretty funky,

They say perfection is a fantasy,

She's a 100% reality

A trailblazing majesty,

Don't question my sanity,

This is a rhapsody,

Talking to you,

I'm pretty lucky,

Compared to you,

I'm a dummy

With you, the universe is in harmony,

Are you sure you aren't a prophecy?
