"I thought you said we would be going to New York, last I checked...this was fucking Las Vegas, why did you bring us here Peter? Of all places, this is not the best place for us as a Pack. You know who operates here, he doesn't do it without just cause." Scott simply sat in the diner booth, watching the two men argue, it was quite amusing. They had been on the road for a while now, it was not every day that he saw Vegas, it was pretty nice, the girls, the clubs, and the food. It was freaking amazing. "Derek, they won't bother us...they're small-time, it's not them I am worried about. It's the increasing police presence, I needed to collect a package from one of your mother's former friends. She was...a bit secretive but when I became the leader, those transferred to me, I got a little say so in this area of the world." Derek scoffed, he trusted that as much as he trusted Peter to train Scott, not much. Looking over at the young wolf, their eyes met before Scott simply raised his brow and took a fry, dipping it in his oreo milkshake, enjoying it more. "If you're planning to have a staring contest, please don't do it where people might think this is not a friendly booth or conversation. I do not wish to be approached in a manner that would have us all uncomfortable, settle down, now. They didn't listen, so Peter flashed his eyes and soon, they went off to continue eating their food as Peter continued to wait for his contact. Something that was getting seemingly longer and longer as the hour passed. Only then, the tell-tale ring of the diner door opening was all the notification Peter needed as he met eyes with his contact. |

"Peter Hale, never thought I would see the days that red was in your eyes. I've come bearing gifts, some gifts that were Talia's and others that meant something...you need this, so I'll give to it, in exchange for something. One thing I cannot keep to myself, I want to start a Pack, even if I don't have the eyes...there are talks of a rogue Alpha out there...I want your support..in return, you will get everything that Talia had and more. I have a whole network of people with me, they would be better with you. Think on it, I wouldn't wish for you jump into this deal to easily, even at the promise of me being the top-dog in town. No pun intended." Andre Santo, a regular man by all accounts, he wasn't particularly strong or had a lot of diplomacy skills. He made up for it with his ambition and skill at intrigue, he was not someone to be trusted with your secrets. He would wield them against you soon enough, he was not that strong as a wolf either but he always used others to do his dirty work. Just as he tried enlisting Peter to do right now, though he was piqued by the man, wondering what he was going to do after Peter took down this Alpha. "Your ambition is going to be bringing you down one day, Andre. I will not help you in the rogue Alpha matters because you've heard the news, the strange killings, the hunts. It's all ramping up, someone is looking to build an army and I will not be apart of it, I'm taking my pack and we're laying low. Do you have what I want?" Peter could see the faintest twitch in the man, he didn't like being denied, nor did he wish to fight Peter. They both knew who would win in the end, Peter may have been a new Alpha but his former experience as a beta and was one of the few voices of reason to his sister, Talia. He was trained well in his family. Andre growled for a moment before looking around the booth, noticing the other two wolves, instinctively shoot up. Looking at him with narrowed eyes, he shook his head, knowing when he wasn't going to get what he wanted. He reached into his inner coat pocket and pulled out a thick brown enveloped. "It's all there, all collected from a few of the businesses that still want a Hale at the head of their table. Do you want to reach out? See who comes into the fold?" Peter shook his head, that group would have been a bad thing. They were involved in some things that he knew his pack wasn't ready for, he didn't wish to throw them into the deep end of the world just yet. This was more of an information mission, plus some kickbacks, see what popped up and how they could help. "Leave it be, those boys can find me travelling the country for a good while...you can leave now too Andre, we're done here and I don't think you're needed. Please." Peter wasn't really being polite, they all knew that he was simply saying the words that would get him out of his sight faster. Andre knew that too, leaving with all haste, not sparing Peter or his pack of children another chance. He would get another chance to rise to the occasion, he would get his moment, right now wasn't that chance. |

"We don't like him." Peter gave them both a raised eyebrow. Andre was an acquired taste, even Talia had kept him at arm's length and he had been something of a go-between. He gave information on other packs, Talia did not wish him any ill will or harm, she was powerful in her own right without the need to show it off. Of course, Peter saw differently, he would spill the blood of his enemies, if justified. He would not wait for them to strike out and try to end him, this world was cruel and having a soft heart would not do him well. He learned that the hard way. "No one does, and I agree with you. The man is ambitious and has ideas way above his station, the rogue animal he is talking about is not rogue. Belongs to a pack of savages that we are avoiding, gratefully and easily. I am not going to be dealing with them anytime soon, hopefully by the next year or when we get a fucking home to sit down and sleep in. Right now, I want to make sure that we have enough to survive." Derek nodded at that, he looked at Scott though, he seemed to be the one that needed more adjusting to this. He was quieter, reserved and seemed less interested in the changes and happenings of their world, the way they needed to be right now was alert. Scott didn't even seem interested, though he was simply going along with the flow, wondering when he could actually begin to make a difference with something. Scott looked at Derek, then Peter. Both looked at him and wondered what he was thinking. He was not going to so interested in this world, he had been dragged into it. Not by choice either. He would rather make sure that his mother was protected right now, he did not wish to start anything for his new leader, they were in a position that did not suit them right now. In a place, they could not call home and if most of these people were like the Malroux, they were territorial. "Stop looking at me like that, I'm not going to be jumping for joy right now, am I? You made me leave my mother and friends for this world, I have to get right with it and settled. So really, I have done what I can. I'm here to learn and see what I can really do. I want to see the world Peter, I'm following you, aren't I? Not by choice, trust me on that. I think we can come to a suitable agreement, that's all I want." Peter nodded, he could work with that. He looked at Derek who kept up his sour look, he always looked that way, maybe he should have gotten a girlfriend in this time and age. One that didn't want to burn their entire family down but really there were plenty to choose from, without that specific trait in main. |

Peter, Scott, and Derek had wandered off to the local gym in Vegas, it was pretty nice beside from the looks they got, they knew that they had just wandered into territory that belonged to someone, they were here for some quick training. They were going to be in and out, that was it pretty much. Of course, these other guys didn't see it that way, they never approached Peter but it was clear, they wanted him out before something broke out. Though the elder Hale was never one to fear those below him in the pecking order, so he continued training his guys. It was only a matter of time before the lone wolf tried being brave, approaching the youngest member of the Hale crew, Scott. Who had stayed on the sidelines, watching Peter and Derek as they boxed one another, they both had some pretty good technique but Scott was taken away from his observations as he studied the man next to him, what could this guy want? He didn't pay him any mind, Peter had said they would be in and out, not causing any trouble for the establishment or the other people that attended. They didn't need to make the news. "What are you lot doing out 'ere kid? Don't you know? This is Haven territory, I'm going to have to ask you to leave, quietly. We wouldn't want you causing a scene for our other customers. Do you get that? This is not something that I want getting out, so come on, grab your shit and leave." Scott paid him no mind, he simply looked at Peter who didn't look over yet and continued boxing with Peter. Shaking his head, Scott could feel that the man was losing his patience, he didn't wish for this to escalate but it would if he didn't get the hint and leave. This was not going to be working if Scott could not do anything to defend himself from this fuck. "Look, we're not starting any trouble, I, or those two over there have no beef with you guys. I would like to keep it that way, we could keep going back and forth but I would not have this end one way, which we both know is not going to do any of us good. So we're leaving soon and you can keep up your little tough guy act then, all good, amigo?" The man stepped forward, placing his hand on Scott's shoulder, which proved to be a bad idea as he was soon pushed back and Scott growled in anger. He really didn't want to do this but he would if he was pushed by the likes of this asshole, craning his neck to the side, he waited to see what the guy's next move would be. He could feel the gaze of the other men on him, they watched him, just to see how he would do in this type of battle. It was going to be interesting. |

"Oh, you just fucked up kid! FINE! Let's do this the hard way..." Scott rolled to the side, unearthing his amber-golden eyes and he looked at the man who had come to test him today. It had only been a day since his fight with the former Malroux family, those injuries were just getting to him now...he looked at the man before him, he was strong, burly, and tall. Strength was not going to be in his area of expertise, this was going to be left with his opponent. Scott would have to use speed and agility. He didn't have any more time to think, he was rushed by the man and soon he was tackled into the apron of the boxing ring, his eyes narrowed before elbowing the man's back, bringing him to kneel as Scott soon kneed him in the jaw, he thought that would be it, no, if anything it just made the man angrier. This wasn't going to be heading in the easy direction that Scott thought it would, he needed something, he needed to use his senses better... And soon he did, closing his eyes as he sidestepped a punch and jumping up from the ground as the man tried to sweep him with his legs. Scott opened his eyes, bowing his head and doing so again, the man grew angrier and so his punches grew sloppy but Scott knew that he needed to take advantage now. Unearthing his claws, he slashed at the man's gut, causing him to growl but he held at the wound. Scott tackled him to the ground, knowing this was his chance. Punch after punch that Scott threw and landed, this man was still up and Scott knew that he was in trouble, he was not going to be surviving if he could not find a way to put this big fucker to sleep. There was nothing else he thought of, soon, he was pushed off the burly fuck and all he found was a smirk getting sent his way before the man did the same. Unearthing his crystal blue eyes...glowing at him like police sirens. This burly man had unearthed his claws, stomping towards Scott...his features grew more prominent a wolfish quality before finally settling on his true form. Scott knew that he was in trouble, he dashed forward, hoping to use speed against the man, only that didn't work this time. Scott was caught by the throat and thrown to the ground with an echoing thud! "You really had a good few moves kid but now, it's time to pay the price...goodbye, little wolf." Scott used the moment that he was talking to sweep his legs, he was not going to be any of these fucking horror movie victims. He wanted to live, he wanted to survive and by fucking mercy, he would. Scott roared loud enough that the building shook, his features became more prominent and without even knowing, in a fight or flight moment, Scott had unleashed his inner wolf. Both of them rushed one another, only Scott came out on top as he jumped up in the air and delivered a flying claw strike, scratching up his face and soon the man fell back. landing on the floor. Scott bowed his head, kneeling as his hands retracted back to normal and his features had done the same. He looked up, noticing Peter and Derek had finally stepped out of the ring looking at him with a bit of pride. "Huh, look at that, I told you. One of these wolves would make a scene, I knew my chosen beta could handle this much." |

The Hale pack now sat down opposite the Haven pack leader, the man was obviously a bit pissed at them but it was more directed at Scott who had beaten his beta, of course, this was something different now, Peter had to play the politics of the world. He had stepped onto another's territory something that didn't happen a lot unless you wanted to take down the current leader, Peter wouldn't admit it but he had bigger plans than Las Vegas. This place was next but the city didn't do it for him, however, he had a role to play. "I'm Emmanuel Haven, leader of the Haven Gym here. You've stepped onto my territory and did not call ahead, did not show any respect and you would have me to look at your beta as if he's something to be proud of. I'm going to have to ask you to leave unless you want to challenge my position here. I know who you are and where you've come from, it won't be too long before I can call in support and make sure that I run you out of my town, nobody comes here and fucks with us...I make sure of that, this is my place. I'm asking you nicely to leave." Peter smirked, leaning forward, as he thought before, he didn't really like the place. For now, though, he wanted to do something for his beta here, he had won a fight and looked like he could still go. He had reached deep inside him, wrestled his inner wolf for control and got it, amazing. Peter knew that he had picked the right man for the job, maybe he could reward him with keeping him a little closer to home. That was all that was needed to earn his trust, maybe something like that could be done for the boy. "You know who I am, then you know I'm Peter Hale of Beacon Hills. Former advisor to Talia Hale, Godmother of Beacon Hills. Owner of Listen's Weaponry right here in Nevada. She also owned a distribution warehouse out here if I am not mistaken, I have properties here, in Nevada. In other words, I have claims, I am willing to leave and let you control this place. However you see fit but if not, then you know the rules of what happens from here, Emmanuel." Peter watched him and knew that he was not going to be taking this sitting down. Already, many of the people in the room were alert, the tension had heightened and this could have been a fight right here. Only it wasn't, this was different, as the drums of war being beaten and Peter was at the centre of it as he watched Emmanuel as he growled, flashing his red eyes ever so slightly. "Let me? You don't let me do shit! Now get the fuck out, cause I'm going to hunt you down Peter Hale and I'm going to kill you...ya get that!?" Peter smirked, he did get that and he was ready for the battle to come, this was going to be a great week after all if it even took that long. Maybe he could finally start his play, from Las Vegas, the city of sin, of all places. |

The Hale Pack had settled into the Listen Hotel, of course, the Hale's owned this as well and settled into the penthouse. It was a sweet gig. Of course, this was only said for a few members of the Hale Pack, Scott had been a bit mad at himself, worrying that he had caused this to happen and he didn't wish for this to even occur. Many of the things he did inside that joint, it wasn't because he simply wished to defend himself, a part of him liked it. It unsettled him, maybe he was a monster that just liked it a bit too much but as he looked back on that moment, the style that he used was brawling and he knew that he had never done that type of thing before. It was simple, it was amazing and he felt like he could do anything, the moment where he gave into his wolf and finally made the man submit was something that would replay in his mind over and over, nothing stopped it. As he thought on it more, the moment finally ceased as a grin came to his lips. He saw the looks that he got from Peter and Derek, they had been proud of him and maybe that was the kind of thing he needed. A steady hand helping him up, guiding him in this strange world, he had been challenged and he had defeated it. He wondered how many other challengers would come. This was his life now, he had to thank Peter for that, maybe this would be a bit more interesting than he first gave it credit for, something to enjoy and to see the world with, an entirely new perspective. Scott nodded, heading off and going to the phone that sat next to the couch, he picked it up and called up Yen, the two had rarely spoken and now was the time where he really missed home. His mother was getting alone well from what he had heard, the Malroux pack had kept their word, hopefully, it didn't impact his mom too much and as the dull rining came to an end, he heard her voice. "Hello, who is this?" Soft, dangerous, and yet innocent all the same. He wondered how she was doing, what she was doing, while he was travelling the world. "Hey, it's me, I just wanted to talk and see how you were doing Yen." Soon the two were talking like they had seen each other all day but they both knew, this was one of the rare chances where they could spend time together and enjoy one another without anything getting in the way, something they relished. No werewolves, no crime, no death, no kidnappings, they would just talk with one another and this how they wanted it, peaceful and nice for them to enjoy one another's company. |

"Did you really have to push him? Scott is not like us, he doesn't know of the world like we do and don't think I didn't see what you were doing in there. That Alpha was arrogant and would not like being challenged, I have yet to see your Alpha form but I know you, something made you do that and I struggle to believe that you suddenly grew a caring heart for yourself Uncle." Peter smirked, relaxing as he listened to the radio and his head rolled back, this was some great stuff. Maybe he could trust Derek with what he wished to plan for the young McCall boy, what needed to happen for the future of their group, pack, organization, whatever someone wished to call it. "There are two things I needed to secure myself upon finding a city to settle for a while, a base of operations and someone to dethrone. Trust me, it was going to happen some way or another. I wanted to make sure that I had his attention, letting Scott fight the battle was a good but unseen consequence that happens to help me and our pack. We are only 3 strong wolves, one who is yet to attain or evolve into his true status. Another who has just turned and has a stupendous amount of control over his inner wolf, what does that tell you, as an Alpha?" Derek stood opposite his sitting Uncle, noticing how he posed the question to him. He wasn't asking him as a beta, but as an Alpha what would he do? "I'd have to secure my position, I know of this threat and I would wish to take them out...I couldn't allow myself to simply be dethroned, I would fight, less I lose the faith of my betas. The ones who wish for me to protect them, they look to me for guidance and I would make sure to give it while protecting them all the same. I wouldn't be able to stand there and toss aside the Alpha who laid his claim, it would have to be a good old fashioned fight." Peter nodded, that would be happening, sooner or later, the Alpha would come to him and he would wish to battle. Of course, Peter knew his power...the amount he had at his disposal, he could trump the likes of this puny Alpha and his pack of steroid punks. It would be easy pickings for them to settle in Las Vegas, of course, this was just the beginning. "Good, you get why I did it. This is also to keep Scott close to his family, I don't think he would like to leave California or Nevada too soon, at least, this way he is close to his mother and friends. He may have a better time adjusting to Pack Life than we ever gave him credit for. Now go out and do something Derek, I have a pizza coming..." |

Yen had arrived in Nevada for one reason only, she had been called by Emmanuel Haven. It was not something that she had informed Scott about either, he was in New York. She hoped that he was doing okay, she stopped in the diner and her heart stopped. Up ahead was Scott McCall, in a navy coloured V-Neck, he looked comfortable as he chatted up some people. He looked quite comfortable before noticing her, she smiled, waving her. He bolted up out of his seat, quite ungracefully as he fell to the ground before standing back up to his feet. Rushing over to her as his friends in their booth laughed at him ever so slightly, he smiled at her for a moment as he finally took her in, it had been a week since they last spoke, a lot had happened but Scott could catch her up later, he slid her into a booth. Both they quiet for a while as they shifted in their seats awkwardly. "I've wanted to talk to you for a while now but I didn't know how to say it, I'm here on business, though I didn't know you'd be here. I thought you would be in New York, Private school. Living the high life but here in Vegas, parties, girls, the food alone should have you dancing for joy. Only you're not, what's wrong Scott?" He shook his head, wondering how she could have guessed that something was wrong with him from a single glance. He ordered them two burgers and curly fries, with ice cream, cookie dough, of course. With an Oreo Milkshake, werewolves got particularly hungry and this was no different, of course, Scott had been doing some deliveries around town. Pizza and trucking, some of which was easy enough. though some of it was annoying...either way, he was getting paid. "I'm fine, relaxed and comfortable, I made some friends from work. They are actually really nice, I've been having fun..though you are kind of right, just the first day here, I ran into some trouble. Okay fine! I had a fight but I won, the dude in Haven totally had it coming and he was acting all brave with me, we were there to train-" Yen smiled at the fact Scott got into a fight, it wouldn't have been McCall if he didn't get into at least one fight. Only then she heard Haven, that couldn't have been right, she looked at him in worry, something that he noticed with a small grin. He probably thought that she was worried at the story, though she was not, she was here for a reason, one that tore her apart and she knew what was coming next. "Next minute I know, I defeated this jackass and Peter is staking a claim on Haven, he wants the Alpha out and we have to fight or something. Of course, I think we have to fight, I think Peter did it cause of me though, he saw how out of sorts I was and wanted me closer to home. Which is more fun, this place ain't so bad...it was pretty fun to look around and enjoy the sights." Their food had soon come, leaving neither of them no room to talk as they soon started eating. Yen knew that she would have to tell him, looking off to the side, she smiled and looked back at Scott. Noticing how his eyes never left her face, she chuckled softly, smiling. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Scott shook his head with a red dusting now to his cheeks, eating a fry that he dipped in ice cream before smiling softly towards her. He did it with ease that it blew her away for a second, knowing that he had a girlfriend but still, she could not help but get lost in the moment. She and Scott did share a kiss that she initiated, one that they had yet to talk about. "I've just missed you is all and I can't wait to spend this time with you. Now, why are you here? Don't think that I forgot that you just arrived here!" She smiled, it soon fell, realizing that she could not tell him the truth. It would break him, looking at him, the smile on his face, the look in his puppy eyes. She wouldn't be able to harm a single hair on his body, let alone fight him for this Alpha that wanted Peter and his pack out of his town, of course, she never knew it was Peter but now she did and Scott was in that pack. She would never fight him, ever. "I'm here on business, my grandfather wanted me to keep watch for a few of the Las Vegas wolves. We got a call and so here we are, we are the overall authority for the West Coast wolves, of course, there are some that wish to challenge our right to rule. We squash that ever so often, now enough about business, let's talk about your new look, fringe? Really Scott? Here I thought you were above the rocker look, I have to say, it looks pretty good on you." She winked, chuckling as he did, they both enjoyed this. Eating food, talking about random things, this is how it was supposed to be and how they would be for hours. Friends like these are the ones they needed, something that Yen would gladly embrace, this was something she was truly looking forward too. |

Scott ended up back at the hotel, though he was immediately brought back to the office that Peter usually held meetings in. He was on the phone with some guy, he could hear it and the guy had a heavy New York accent. Hm, he wondered what this could have meant for them if it was big enough to drag them from their daily business, he settled down, leaning against the wall as Peter got off the phone. "Oh, Alpha my Alpha, what do you have for me today? A hunt?" Peter hated whenever Scott referred to him that way, the kid had loosened up and he knew that he was coming to terms with the life he was living. In the next few weeks, that was going to be changing, they challenged the Alpha and now shit was getting turnt around, things were going to be looking kinda different for all of them. Peter knew that it was for the better. "Actually, information, apparently we have a wolf coming down to help our fellow pack defeat us, can you believe that?" Scott raised a brow at that....it couldn't be, she just landed here and said she was here on business for her family. Was this that business? No, this couldn't be right, he noticed that he was getting a few looks before he cleared his throat. Scott knew they wanted to know what was on his mind heavily that he failed to make his usual quip at the moment, quite odd if you asked Peter and Derek. "Actually, I got some news of my own...Yen visited from Beacon Hills, I think she might be the one who is meant to protect this Alpha from you. Yen Malroux, I didn't know Peter, she said she was here on business. She actually froze when she saw me, I think she knew that we had to fight, she didn't want to do that, son of a bitch...this...fucking hell." Scott never spared them a glance, he walked out, needing to know the truth as he made sure to make his way to that gym, His pack alpha and fellow beta, followed after him, wanting to know what he was going to do, knowing that he might just regret it down the line. |

"You lied to me, you stood there and you never told me why you were...and now I have to fight you Yen? Really? This wasn't enough, being here and lying to me, saying that you were here for business...you wanna fight me? Do it now...KILL ME!" Scott stared her down, though it was inside the gym, late at night and many of the pack's other members were here. Peter and Derek stood by Scott's side, letting them know if this was going to happen that it was happening now. On their terms, Peter flashed his red eyes, Derek's crystal blue and they unearthed their claws, ready for action if neccesary. "I'm not doing this right now Scott, I have a duty to my family to protect our fellow packs. Your Alpha here has broken that treaty, Vegas, Haven, whatever place Emmanuel calls home, is his. No matter the cost or other Alphas that are here to stake a claim. If that happens, my family is obligated to respond and fight for them...he called in his overlord and here I am." Shaking his head, Scott pushed her, daring her to act and soon enough, she flashed her amber eyes, warning him that he was going too far. That this was not the fight he wished to pick right now, Scott stepped forward one more time as she bared her teeth. She was ready and they both knew that she was more experienced, of course, Scott didn't know what she really was. "Scott...I'm warning you...don't do this, this battle is not one you can fight right now...I am asking you, I am imploring you to stand the heck down. Go back home and leave this area, or I will be forced to kill you. Do you understand what I am saying?" At this moment, they were not friends, they were not allies, nor would they even look at each with a different light in their eyes that seemed to increase with time. No this was the look you have a rival, an enemy and right now this is what these two were bordering on. They didn't want to fight but they knew that they would be forced too if the situation called for it. Only one of Emmanuel's wolves moved forward, speeding forward and tackling Scott...so started the battle as Scott knew that the fight was on...the battle was on and this is what it had come too. Reaching inside, deep in his gut, Scott roared and pushed the man off of him. He looked around him, noticing that Peter and Derek were in their elements, fighting the wolves with ease, it was a handicap for both of them but they made up for it. Their ferocity and finesse in fighting, it was almost graceful in a manner of thinking. He turned back to face Yen and they both looked sad at the prospect but it was what needed to happen...they both thought, Yen had made the first step, Scott didn't let it go further than that as he looked to slash at her. They were both ready to kill...so they thought, Yen, cartwheeled away before giving a swift roundhouse kick that sent Scott tumbling to the floor. "KILL HIM...NOW!" Emmanuel shouted from across the gym as he dealt with Peter who was obviously not trying against the man, soon though, Peter saw what was happening. He looked back at Emmanuel before he saw a careening punch coming his way, in that instance, Peter shifted ever so slightly...the head of a beastly wolf was seen instead of his usual smug face. Peter turned his head back, looking at Emmanuel and they both knew, this fight was over as Peter's fully formed mutant-like beast form came into view. Peter gripped Emmanuel's neck, slamming him against the wall as the malformed alpha roared in his face, bringing him to submit before the glow in Emmanuel's eyes shifted ever so slightly to amber... "I'M THE ALPHA!" Peter snapped Emmanuel's neck before turning to the remaining wolves, knowing that they were now omega's without a pack leader or one would rise to the occasion, getting that spark and wishing to attain the rank. Peter's form had shifted back to normal as he looked at the gathered former Haven pack, one roared at him....he was quite excited at that, though he was not Alpha yet. Peter quickly dealt with him, slashing at him with ease and giving him a quick death as the others were dealt with besides one and Yen, who still fought against Scott, who now fully shifted into his form, giving them the barest of smirks before rushing forward. He dealt with the last remaining Beta of the Haven pack, it was a good fight and Scott felt the blows he received, he used his skill and speed, coupled with his agility, he knew that he would be ready to win this battle. Scott soon gained the upper hand, slashing at the beta's wrists and behind his knees, bringing him to a halt, he wasn't as fast anymore. He held his own and could easily be considered the last defender of his pack, he was truly alone in this world now. The final one, this was a sad prospect, losing a whole pack...he had heard Peter and Derek describe it....and it was not pretty, it was like losing the will to live itself. Scott gave him that mercy, slashing his throat and effectively killing him. No one noticed but Scott's eyes glowed brighter than before, seemingly settling on the final brighter colour as the Hale turned back to face the remaining wolf, Yen. She had watched this, knowing that she could not take on Peter alone...an Evolved Alpha...he had won this territory. "Peter, my alpha, I ask one last thing, we do not kill the Malroux werewolf. Leave her be, she is not worth the trouble of fighting other packs and hoards of other members of her family. We take her to the airport, where she promises and vows to leave us to our business in Las Vegas, that's all." Peter gave Scott a small look before he nodded, walking out of the bloody establishment with Derek who barely looked fazed at this all. It seemed like another work in the park for the young man and maybe it was...it seemingly worked best that way for him. |

Scott and Yen had arrived at Los Angeles airport, this was the final place they would be meeting and Scott seemed okay with that. He knew that was the right way for this to go, things were going to be different now if they were on opposite sides of what was right for them. Scott had learned his friend betrayed him, he had to kill someone because of that. He wasn't going to be thinking about that right now, he just wanted to say a final...real goodbye. "You betrayed...you were told to kill me. You knew it, Yen, now I stand here on my two feet and look you in the eyes. Your family means more to you and I am not going to disrespect you because of that. I care for you, even more, that's what I laid out those rules. No longer will we see one another, stay in Beacon Hills, stay away from me and that's all I can say Yen Malroux. It's been a fun ride but it's time to get off now." Yen shook her head, she made a mistake in a heated moment and she knew that she could never disobey her grandfather. He was the leader, it was not something she was looking forward to even discussing with the two. It was going to be interesting to see what would happen when she got back...she couldn't help but let out a teary smile. "I'm going to miss you Scott McCall and it's better you know now...I love you, I always will and I will always find a way to protect you just like you did for me right now. Don't forget that, goodbye, I am sorry it turned out this way...I just hope you're ready for the future, if you think obtaining this city is the least of your worries, you'll have a few more coming up now...especially if you go to Chicago...I'll be with ya soon, really soon I hope." Scott wanted to ask what she meant but he didn't want to let her stay, this was it, him letting go of the life he had in Beacon Hills. The final moment he could call this his own independence. He smiled as she took off, he knew it, this would be the last moment in a while that he was going to see her. Scott knew that he would miss her and that was it, he walked away, heading back to the Hotel as he could help but wonder if this is how losing a friend felt like. Someone who connected him to his new and old life, maybe it would always feel like this, perfect. He thought sarcastically. |

Scott was playing some cards laying down, Derek sat opposite as Peter entered soon after. He was not surprised to see his nephew and beta playing, they were getting used to the new digs and admittedly, so was he. The benefits right now were amazing, of course, in the coming weeks that would be tested and he wasn't looking to play friendly with the others that would come here to test his claim for Las Vegas. "You did a good job, Scott, I'm proud of you. Now that we are set up here however, things are going to be changing to how I made my play. The Malroux were defeated, that places us among the most dangerous packs around. Our businesses will have to start flourishing, our operations will have to start moving quietly. Our movements will have to be unknown to our enemies and possible allies, I don't want them knowing anything." Scott nodded, he knew that would be happening and while he was a bit unprepared for the criminal lifestyle that was being offered to him in the 1930s...he had to say, he was a bit worried for the future. Peter did too, his heart was pounding and so was Derek, though soon they heard a knock on their door, Peter stood tall, wondering who came to test the mighty alpha. "Calm down, my alpha, it's only the pizza we ordered...you really need to relax, maybe go get a girlfriend. See a movie, heck, get a hooker...anything before one of those veins pop." Scott opened the door, only the pizza was definitely there but it wasn't the usual Pizza guy...actually this guy kind of looked like Yen. He opened the door wider, soon the not pizza delivery man had flashed his eyes and looked at Peter straight away. Making both Derek and Scott tense, wondering if he was coming to challenge peter...only he bowed his head in submission soo after. "I was looking for you, I want a place among the Hale's, I'm Hektor Malroux, yes I belong to the lot up in Beacon Hills...I was shunned. I heard there was a new alpha around town and so I wanted to meet him. Please, let me join and be apart of this pack for what it's worth...I'm close to evolving..." Peter smiled, looking at Derek and Scott who simply smiled back at him, knowing that he was the right one in this instance. Scott welcome Hektor inside, closing the door and setting the pizza on the table as he watched Peter. One thing went through Scott's mind for a moment, he couldn't help it as he thought about everything Peter said moments before Hektor arrived. 'Was this how it began?' |
