Scott sat next to Bonnie as they both ate some chilli cheese fries. It had been a while and both of them simply relaxed, knowing that things out of their control was about to happen, they had to be in control for what happened. They knew they could not be worried for what was coming, they had to relax and take each day as it happened, though he had to share a look with Bonnie, being quite curious as to the look he received a few days back.

"Bonnie, I wanted to talk, don't worry. It's nothing bad, I just wanted to make sure that you were okay with everything and about the look you gave me. Plus what that Beta was talking about, yeah everyone heard, of course, we wanted to give you some space to discuss at a time where you were comfortable. Here we are, with large chilli cheese fries, a tub of cookie dough ice cream and some sweet music...come on, what's up?"

Bonnie smiled, Scott was a good guy, he didn't hold anything back and he did have a calming way about himself. Almost like this was something he natrually did, of course, that tied back into the first steps of Scott ascending. She and Hektor had watched him over the past few days, knowing that he was coming to what he was, a natural predator in the wild. Something that nature often spoke about with fear.

Taking another chill cheese fry, placing it in her mouth and chewing, she thought over what she could tell him. She knew she could trust him, he was easy to trust and she didn't think Scott would ever use that against her. He had that look, innocence, even if he was a killer, he didn't enjoy it but he did enjoy surviving. Living another day and getting to see the world. That is what made Scott different from the other wolves.

"I've just been getting to grips with what I've done, I was a witch of the Stratten Pack, my family owed them something big from the 1800s...of course with that came a debt and so my family was beheld to the Stratten, we performed spells that allowed them to be better than the average wolf. Of course, that stopped once wolves learned to natrually evolve into the state they should be, they didn't  need us, witches, to do that anymore."

Scott nodded, leaning forward as he continued to listen to her tale, it sounded like she wanted a simple end to the bullshit that came with being involved with werewolf life. The murder and politics of territory disputes and egos, it wasn't so different from the natural life as a gangster and member of the mob, though, of course. It wasn't fought with guns but teeth and claws. Scott smiled at that, maybe he needed to buy a three-piece suit in the future.

"So came me and my time as being the next witch advisor to the Alpha, I declined when I felt something. A draw to a new Alpha, Peter Hale. He may be different from people I've met in my time but he has a certain way about him. He knows how to lead people and maybe he can help me come to grips with what I am, a witch who has to answer for her crimes. I think Peter is a great alpha, he has a wonderful group of wolves with him that looks to change the world."

Scott nodded, he could see that this was a struggle for Bonnie. She was a woman who belonged to the pack of wolves that only used her for her powers, of course, she helped them without any problem. Still, he could only smile at her, what he didn't know was that Bonnie could barely stomach looking at him like that.

If only he knew that it was her fault, she was the reason why Stratten and his pack were here, it wasn't for Las Vegas or anything else like that but it was for him. She didn't know it at first but when she felt the true power Scott had, clawing to the surface she had used it as a chip to bargain with. Bonnie promised Tiberos that power if she could get free of him and his family, it's all she ever wanted.

"Yeah, we will, I just want you there with us if we do it. I cannot imagine you without us, you've helped us so much and I am sure Peter appreciates it along with Hektor...Derek, ehhh, he's a bit hard to read sometimes but know that you are one of the good ones that have stepped through in Las Vegas and offered us help. I don't think I could ever deny your help, Bonnie Bennet."

With a smile she chuckled, deciding to continue this line of conversation. She actually wondered something about Scott McCall, he seemed to have many interests in the love department. Something she wondered, was he a player or just a genuinely good guy? She was more inclined to the latter as she looked at him, nothing screamed of arrogance or cockiness...he just had his natural smile and good looks.

"Overall though, I'm settling in well, enough about me though, what about you? I hear of this infamous Allison Argent, just who was she to you, Scott McCall?"

Scott smirked, knowing where this was going and decided to go for it. He and his friends back in Beacon Hills with Allison after what happened, her family had to leave until it all settled and of course, Scott was still shaken up over it...the fire in Beacon Hills, the Hale fire that consumed the house was started by Allison's aunt.

"She was my girlfriend, I never what her family did until it came out in the newspapers, her family started the fire. Her aunt actually, she was locked up and apparently killed in Prison. She never got a trial, of course, when you hear that she murdered children along with her co-conspirators, it all paints a bad picture. So they left Beacon Hills, I never heard from her again, not until now."

Bonnie's teasing smile dropped, that must have been a hard time for Scott though he did not show it, giving her a soft smile. Showing that he had since gotten over that little thing, though it did seem to bother him just a bit. The witch did wonder, just what was this going to mean when those two lovers met again?

Report Post Tip

Peter walked into their newest safe house or manor one would call it, something like this was suited for members of the chosen society. Not the werewolf society, of course, rumour has it that some of them had a run with some lone wolves. Peter would have to see if Hektor had made that call and these new wolves were trying to stir up trouble, of course, this just wasn't going to work. He needs those wolves under control, he would send Derek or Hektor, they would learn that this was his city.

He noticed Bonnie and Scott talking like old friends, he shook his head at those two, while they were the youngest, they had a lot of wisdom and power with their words. Scott talking him out of the war with the Malroux Pack. Something that would have continued till today if they had killed Yen Malroux and Bonnie arriving with the information on Stratten, of course, they were invaluable but Peter felt like he owed them a little more than a few smiles and a place to sleep.

"HEY!"

The two looked at him, raising their eyebrows with chilli cheese fries hanging from their mouths like kids who were trying to stuff cookies before their mother caught them. His lips tugged a little at the image before shaking his head with a bit of confusion, he sat down in his seat and looked down at the table, fries from the diner? And they didn't save him some!?

"Where's mine?"

Scott raised an eyebrow while Bonnie threw him a worried look, wondering who was going to take the fall for this one, Of course, it had to be Scott, he was the wolf with all of this nonsense, something that him worrying on the inside. Peter looked seriously annoyed at not getting any.

"We forgot? Plus you never even told us if you liked these kinds of fries from the diner if I recall you said that it would give us heart attacks before long..."

Peter looked between them, shrugging, he was a man who could still enjoy it easier than most. He noticed Scott shaking his head before passing over the shared large order that he and Bonnie had ordered, it was pretty freaking nice. Of course, Scott looked a bit put out.

"Oh don't look like that Scott, you still have that tub of cookie dough that I don't really like. Nice time spring for some mint chocolate chip."

Scott screwed his eyes shut before screaming into his hands as Peter laughed, Bonnie watched the two, they were pretty funny to watch and it was not something that happened at the Stratten Pack, another difference she could spot with ease and maybe that is the way it needed to be, just the way that things were different with other packs. The Hale pack had a familial feel to it, she couldn't explain it but it was truly like she was at home here.

Maybe this could be her home, she didn't know yet but she would come to feel that way over the next few days about this group of wolves and the way they did things.

Report Post Tip

After finishing up the nice chilli cheese fries, Derek and Hektor had walked in, both of them looked a bit tired from all the patrolling they were doing. Making sure to keep some of the wolves in check but a few would be heading to the gym, to see if they made the cut of joining the pack. Of course, Peter would be there, monitoring them and their every move, this wasn't going to happen without the alpha and some of them really need some homes.

"Why can I smell chilli cheese fries and cookie dough ice cream?"

Scott and Bonnie both looked at Derek with wide eyes before pointing at one another, causing all of them to shake their heads and laugh, those two really seemed to be bonding. Of course, the time for that was nearing its end as Derek sat down, handing out a few notes to everyone, they each looked at them for a moment before Peter spoke out.

"This is the invitation to the numerous people flocking to the city to join our ranks, of course, they will wish to impress me above all but they have to impress all of us. You all are apart of this pack, you have proven your loyalty and proven to me that you are willing to kill and die for one another. That is what I see, that is what I hope for and that is what I know all of you would do for one another."

Peter spoke passionately, a true leader delivering a great speech to his soldiers. He was making sure that they had a say in who would join his pack, whoever did not pay them all equal mind and made sure to treat them as equals instead of trying to prove he was better than them, it was something they needed, to work as a team.

Wolves who were ambitious would not be welcome, they would prove to destabilize everything they were trying to build up for the betterment of Las Vegas and the people who inhabited this fine city. Peter had an agreement with the police chief, of course, kicking something up to the little greedy shit was a given. Peter knew how things worked in cities like Vegas, everything was a little bit of cash here and there.

"Alright, well I can't be there...I can pretend to be studying, I know my dad is out here though, on a case about the mob. I won't be able to help with the general scouting of talent, no doubt Argent has heard of it and is probably here. In case that happens, I wish to simply look like a regular at the gym, they already know your werewolves...if we play it right, we could get me into the inner circle of this little hunting family."

Peter smiled at Scott again, once again, he was proving that he had what it takes to make the right decisions. He was really beginning to impress Peter, who knew that he had yet to do what it takes and pick a second. He was honestly looking between Derek and Scott, both of them proved that they were ready to lead but this amount of power, political moves, it didn't fit Scott, at least, not yet.

Peter knew that he had to keep watching them, these two were his chosen two, they were the ones with him from Beacon Hills. If he should fall, one of them was going to take his place and become the Alpha of the Hale Pack.

Report Post Tip

Adrian Hunter, lone omega in the world, he sat in the gym waiting for the Hale and the only one he saw was a young-looking man boxing in the corner. He seemed to be doing pretty well, he had been going ever since he had arrived here. Adrian waved over at the man, wanting to be friendly and soon the man looked back at him, smiling, all the same, he soon walked over, causing Adrian to tense.

"The owner doesn't usually get here until twelve, he just lets me open up sometimes dude, my name is Scott, I was just working out here. I do so every few afternoons, I've never seen you around. New in the city?"

Adrian smiled at him, he looked at the kid, he sure looked like he could hold himself well and he seemed pretty calm. He stuck his hand, going to shake and Scott returned it, that friendly never leaving his face before another person entered. He looked at them, not even giving a second glance. Adrian noticed Scott though, his jaw tensed and he looked a bit pissed but he guessed Scott was used to nice people.

"Yeah I'm new, I heard there was a position open in the gym, so I'm just here for an interview. I'm Adrian, it's nice to meet you, Scott."

Scott seemed a bit surprised at that but he never questioned it, something Adrian was glad for, he just thought about it on the spot. He didn't want to question eight ways into the future about what the fuck he was doing right now. He just wished for a mellow time and hoped that he could get through it all without getting caught out by a human of all things, that wouldn't do well for him.

"Ah, nice...Peter could sure use some help around here, I would have applied but I'm stuck working the diner...of course with those shifts, I can't really come and work here all the time but it's still fun for me, at least I earn, right?"

Adrian nodded, continuing to talk with Scott before he went back to training, not even giving the guy who looked at them like they meant nothing another glance. Adrian didn't really know what just happened but he did feel like Scott McCall was an important person, he didn't know why but when he listened to his heartbeat..there was something there...he just didn't know what yet.

Little did Adrian know, he did indeed impress one member of the pack just then, Scott McCall would put him on a shortlist. He would be ready to give this to Peter if anyone deserved a place, it was Adrian.

Report Post Tip

Scott never stayed after that, he had walked around town for a moment and stopped in the Vegas park. He wanted to relax before heading back to the mansion to see who had finally completed the final step, as he looked up at the sky, he heard a gasp and looked to the side, he knew who that was and he gulped, wondering what she was doing here of all places and right now.

"What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same thing, Scott."

They both smiled at one another before Scott stood, hugging her and they stayed like that for a while before they parted, looking at one another awkwardly, there was a lot to get through but this is what needed to happen and Scott knew, this was apart of the plan but it was happening a lot faster and out of the blue, not like he expected.

"Well I'm here because my dad has a case here, he wanted to spend some time, finally. Of course, there was also the added benefit of Vegas and food...come on, gambling, drinks, and cookie dough ice cream? That's like my go-to's."

Shaking her head, he hadn't changed, he seemed more comfortable and assured of himself, like he had a new outlook on life. Of course, she had also changed after what happened to her Aunt Kate. Allison knew that Scott was the same as he was when they first met. She didn't want this to end.

"Well, I'm here because my father got a deal with the federal government, there was a need to sell them arms and so that's why I am here. Taking up the family business I suppose, speaking of cookie dough ice cream, do you want to get some food?"

Scott nodded his head, he knew where Allison was going with this, of course, he was prepared and knew what his role was in all of this. Peter and the pack had trusted him, he would not fail them, he could not fail them and that is all that mattered right now. He would not do that, they didn't deserve it.

Report Post Tip

Scott and Allison sat opposite one another, looking at each other with nothing but happiness shining in their orbs as they both ate their fries, of course, Chilli cheese fries. It was a late night and it was pretty quiet besides a few others, Scott knew that this was simply apart of the plan, he kept saying that as if it would stop him from looking at Allison Argent a bit differently, of course, it did not and he didn't think it ever would.

"So tell me, what's been happening with you? I hear that you and Lydia got together? How'd that happen?"

Lydia, hearing that name made him remember that life he had before all of this got in the way. Before he became what he was and how his life had changed, it was not a movie and it kept playing in his head. the moments he had shared with Lydia and of course, Allison noticed that too. Lydia was here best friend and here, after a few years, she and Scott got together. It didn't hurt, of course, she had others besides Scott but he was still special.

"Well I was still a bit shaken about the whole Argent situation, so I wanted to calm myself down and Lydia offered to go to the movies, park, a lot of lacrosse. Overall, we just had fun and here I am now, in Las Vegas, away from here. It really does suck my luck with women, doesn't it?"

Both of them laughed, knowing that to be a bit true, though it did remind them of what they had before. It was really special to them but they both knew that it was a thing of the past.

"I have to agree, though I can say that I had similar luck. Chicago is not the time of place right now, it's still fun for me and here I am, on my first day back in Las Vegas. Meeting you, I have to say that fate is a bitch, Mister McCall."

Both of them laughed, unaware that they had both simply talked the night away as if nothing was wrong and the outside world was not on the brink of war. They had to enjoy what they had of one another, it was the best feeling and something they shared. A feeling, a relationship and both of them knew that wasn't going to be changing anytime soon.

Report Post Tip

Scott had entered the manor and carried a few bags filled with some food for the pack. He came face to face with Adrian, the man had wide eyes and soon Scott winked before walking into the parlour and noticing the pack. All at the table, listening to some music and playing cards, it seemed like nothing had changed and soon Scott placed the food down and they tore into it like no tomorrow. They were hungry, that was obvious.

"Is no one going to introduce me to our newest friend here?"

Peter raised his brow, motioning to the clock and Scott looked, noticing that it was five in the morning. Wow, that was fast, he and Allison must have talked a lot, of course, he didn't forget the pack. He always made sure to bring them something back on his trips,

"You know me, I'm Adrian...and is that chilli cheese fries?"

Scott laughed, shoving him into a seat and sitting down next to him as they all grabbed a bag of their favourites. Of course, Derek was looking at Scott, a bit worried and motioned off to the side. Scott nodded, wanting to see what Derek needed. Following him, the two soon stood outside as they watched the cars pass their home.

"You met her, I know you did Scott. I just don't want you to go through what I did, alright? Allison is not her family, you've said that to me and peter, we want to believe you. Trust me, we do but we also don't want you getting to caught up with the past. I know how much that can damage a person, I really do."

Derek spoke softly, he rarely ever spoke about his past and he was doing so freely with Scott like he needed to give Scott a lesson and maybe he did, he could hear his heart as soon as he stepped through the door. It was like a freaking rapid drum with the amount of thumping he heard coming from his chest.

"I dated Allison's aunt, I gave her the details on my family and she betrayed me. She knew about us, no one else did, and she burned my family alive because I was foolish and I trusted her, Scott, I don't want that to happen with you. Allison has changed, she may still keep up the funny, nice, and sweet girl you knew in high school but it won't be the same. Her time with her family will have changed her and just like you, she would have lied about tonight."

Scott put his head down, he wished to believe that Derek wasn't right, that Allison might not have taken up the family business. Of course, she would have as well. They would have needed to replace Kate and who better than family?

"I know I come off as a hardass and someone who doesn't wish to see the light in all these things but still, you're my brother. We're apart of this pack and I want to see you do well, now come on, let's get back inside. I'm sure Peter and the rest have been listening in while Hektor delivers commentary to Bonnie about our little heart to heart moment, eh?"

And soon, they both heard a yell come from inside the house. It was not what Scott wished, he wished to talk some more. Only he decided to push that away, he was tired and wished to spend time with his pack family.

Report Post Tip

The Hale pack had gathered in the parlour, Peter needed to deal with those pesky little wolves in his city now. It was growing to the point where it was annoying him and getting the attention of some of the city officials. Unofficially, the chief had reached out and told him to handle it or he would have to vacate, now while Peter didn't exactly like being ordered around, he knew when people were bad for his little protection racket over the city. So he conceded and knew what to do, he would send his best, Derek and Scott.

Of course, both had some objections, Scott wishing to sleep more and Derek simply disliking the grunt work that he was given. Stating that let the betas below him and Scott should do it, the ones who were newest to their pack.

"No. You two, not that I don't trust Hektor to keep a handle on our little wolf but I don't want anything going awry. This is more than just a bunch of rogue wolves who scattered into the city and make their way, they wanted our attention, now I don't know about you but that sounds like a declaration of war. I won't be there to handle it but you will, go and make sure that none of these guys reports it back to other wolves, the Hale pack remains quiet and vigilant over its city as a guiding hand."

Derek Grunted and Scott wailed before simply putting some boots on, grabbing some boxing tape and wrapping it around his hand. If he was going to be fighting, he was going to be prepared, with that, Derek followed after him, leaving Peter and the pack to watch after them with small smirks.

"You never told them that they were evolved, did you?"

Peter lost his smirk and his eyes widened quite comically, he muttered an 'oh shit' before he shrugged, knowing that they could handle it, he hoped at the very least, otherwise, he was going to be placing some 'help wanted, humans need not apply' and wouldn't that be quite the coming-out party to the city. Giving the hunters another bonfire to execute, of course, this one would be having the humans cheering them instead of shunning them.

"No...of course, I know Derek and Scott, they are some of our bests and if anyone can handle the business as I do, I know it's them. Now, back to you and your mission concerning Stratten."

Bonnie's little teasing smile dropped as Peter sat opposite her, it was time for her part in this little game of chess that was being played with the packs and the hunting family known as Argent

Report Post Tip

Derek and Scott walked into the rundown bar, containing a few people and they all looked a bit...dirty, of course, their eyes turned to them with a bit of hatred in them...looking at them with smirks.

"Look who mosied down to our little bar, two city boys...man, I should string you two up and make some soup outta yous, you'd make a good broth...I'm sure."

The heavy southern accent was clear, Scott blinked for a moment and Derek simply had a blank face, Peter sent them down to deal with this? It was like coming down to deal with two inbreds, of course, that thought stopped when they heard a growl...looking down at the man's feet, they noticed a large black wolf, came up to his knee.

"Look, we've spoken about this Con, you can't be here. We own this city, this is ours and I won't be having you fuck it up for us. Do you understand what I'm saying? Get the fuck outta our town...or I'm going to rip-"

Constine laughed, looking at Derek with a crazed look in his eyes and it certainly looked like he was itching for a fight. Something that both the men on the opposite side of him hoped to avoid, only this was reaching a different conclusion, one that involved a lot of death.

"No, you spoke, I didn't listen. We've been here longer than Peter Hale and his band of wolves! We've been here longer than the mob, we've watched them rise, this is our city. We earned, we fought for it originally and I won't be having you come here, believing that you could fuck this up for us, you get that!? This is the rightful city of the elder wolves..."

Derek narrowed his eyes, it had been a long time since he heard that name...of course, it belonged to wolves far bigger and powerful than the ones standing opposite him and Scott. A smirk tugged at his lips, he knew that would anger these fools more and bait them into attacking, he had the advantage, he knew that he did.

"A long time ago, this city belonged to elder wolves, a long time ago, they died out, a long time ago, there was Le Bete. A long time ago, the hale family burned in their own house. Now, we're back, now we are stronger than ever and this is our city. We claimed it, we defeated the Alpha, I want you gone from our territory Constine, I am not going to give you another choice or chance, take this mercy we are giving to you and your pack."

Constine dropped his playful smile in return, his eyes narrowing and the crazed looked in his eyes had disappeared. It was clear what this was for the man, a moment of clarity.

"Derek, I can't. I have a claim here, just as your mother did, just as all other packs of wolves have had in the past. This is my choice, I am not leaving until I get this city, you're going to have to kill me and that is what this has come to. So what will it be? Surrender or a fight to the death!?"

Both Scott and Derek put their heads down, thick sideburns unearthed and growls left their mouths, claws soon came after. They both looked up, roaring in tandem as their respective eyes glowed amber and blue bringing the wolves opposite to do the same as they all rushed one another..a battle had commenced.

Report Post Tip

Peter and Bonnie had both finished discussing, they had known this was going to happen...only then, they both heard it...looking at the door to the house, Peter smiled ever so slightly, knowing that his wolves had it handled. He looked back at Bonnie, noticing her worry and it didn't seem to be with Derek either, he had noticed that she and Hektor had been keeping a closer eye on Scott more than normal.

"Bonne, I hate to be someone who notices the small things but I can't help it right now. You have an interest in Scott McCall, I noticed it and so will Derek, eventually. You've been watching him, worryingly so, almost like you're afraid of something. I don't know what it is but I can say with full confidence that Scott is one of the brightest wolves I have ever come across. He has my full trust."

Bonnie shook her head, she knew that already, it was clear to see that reason. He was obvious with it and was something that she saw on a day to day basis, Peter was a good guiding hand for Scott, keeping straight and knowing when he needed to be sat down and talked too but Bonnie needed to tell him the truth, otherwise, it would eat away at her.

"I have to tell you the truth, I didn't come here because of the fact I knew you had attained your rank in becoming an Alpha, I came because of Scott and his amount of control, almost like he's a natural at this. Peter, what does that tell you? In the short few weeks, you've heard it all, Scott fights against an Evolved werewolf, kills a more experienced beta and a partially evolved wolf, his strength is above that of a true beta, isn't it?"

Peter noticed, some Beta's had the natural spark for this life, they knew what they had to do. Even his sister had seen that with Laura, she was a natural leader but there was more, something she had to say.

"I think Scott has the power and skill to become Le Bete, I think it is already coming to the surface. He made Hektor submit to him, only a few weeks in, no one should be able to do that, Peter. Scott is going to become the next Beast of the century, and I don't think anyone is truly prepared for the amount of trouble and power that brings him. He is going to be hunted down by so many packs for his power."

Peter shook his head, that couldn't be right but then he thought about it more. Scott's ability to natrually lead and come up with solutions, being a beta, omega, and alpha when the situation called for it. He didn't fit into anyone mould, he became all three and that was something that truly made Peter excited for the things Scott could do.

"You haven't only told me, have you, Bonnie?"

She shook her head and went into detail about what she told Stratten. Peter would deal with this, for his Beta, he had to make sure that Scott survived whatever came at, no matter the sacrifices he had to make to see that come true for his young charge.

Report Post Tip

Scott immediately reached for the partially shifted wolf, his claws digging deep into his throat, and soon Scott pulled with all his might, soon the wolf growled, trying to fight but soon he fell as his blood splattered all over his clothes as he looked over the other wolves, all of them rushed him but he was prepared as Derek stepped at his side.

They gracefully moved, knowing that with a pack mentality, they had this in the bag and it was going to be theirs for the taking. This was not something they would do with such ease and grace but after training sessions, they knew each other pretty well and going against a few wolves like them, well it was nothing they couldn't handle.

Only they never prepared for the Evolved Wolf to jump at them, looking to bite their throats out but they dodged, making sure to have one of them on it at all times. This was going to be a hard battle but they knew, they could do, Scott looked at the Evolved wolf and he didn't even know it but he channelled something deep within him, bringing out true wolf eyes as he flashed in front of the evolved wolf and bit it's throat out with his teeth...blood dribbling down his chin as he looked over his shoulder at Derek.

He sped right over to the side of Derek, fighting the wolves with ease and knew that they had this in the bag, Scott knew he had damaged their morale. This was it, he was going to be winning this...the confidence flowed through him with ease. He noticed that Derek seemed to be focused a little bit on him, never seeing that killer instinct on Scott before. He had his chance and this was it, a chance to see Scott in all his glory as a wolf.

"Where's Constine!?"

Scott searched for him as Derek cleaned up the last of the wolves, they had all fallen one by one and the only they had not slain was the ringleader, the would-be evolved leader of these backwater wolves. Only he had left, leaving them to claim the victory, knowing when the leader had fled.

"Scott, what was that before?"

Tilting his head, Scott wondered what Derek was talking about but he knew then, he shook his head with an easygoing smile.

"I just wanted to protect us, Derek, come on, Peter will be waiting for us to deliver the news to the rest of the pack."

Derek watched Scott go, knowing that it was more than that. Scott moved quicker and easier than the average beta, he moved as if he had evolved. Something that he shouldn't be able to do with only two weeks and then some as an Alpha, it was truly wondrous and Derek was worried for the future about Scott. Only Derek brushed it off, maybe Scott was right, maybe he only wanted to protect them.

He soon walked after Scott, knowing that this wasn't over, Constine was still out there. He was a dangerous wolf, someone who they would have to deal with before he blew it for all of them here in the city and there was a wolf hunt.

Report Post Tip

Melinda walked in with a duffel bag filled with cash, it was this week's take and she walked into the Headquarters, many of the beta's looked at her with smiles. She waved back at them, stepping up to her husband, who looked disinterested as he read up on Le Bete, something that even she didn't want to discuss, something that clawed at her very being and scared her to the core.

"I picked this up, the mob wants us to deal with a little something for them. We do this, we can gain a little favour with the human faction, Make sure we keep them on the side of the right pack, what do you say? We may need it with the Hale's bearing down on us soon enough."

Tiberos gave her a faint look, it was almost like he couldn't even be bothered and in truth, he wasn't. The Hale's didn't even come close to him, he was the most powerful alpha in the West. Even if certain fools like Phillipe Malroux did not wish to bow to his rule, they would all eventually kiss his ring and proclaim him, Alpha of Alphas and Godfather.

"Peter Hale is of no consequence but right now, maybe a little bit of good faith with the humans will buy us some good fortune. Send Faustin and Dimi, let them deal with the petty problems of the mob."

Melinda shook her head, while they were powerful, they were not immortal...that was something impossible, even she knew that. She looked at Tiberos for a moment before bowing her head, motioning for Faustin and Dimi to deal with the mafia. That would be easy enough, something she hoped would end up with them being owed something.

Only the meeting didn't end there, a courier of theirs rushed into the room, yelling for Tiberos who stood with authority, his red eyes glowing a bright red before looking at this fool who dared to disturb.

"SIRE! I have news, Constine is outside, he wishes for an audience...news of the Hale Pack."

Tiberos nodded his head, it was about time that little fool made his worth and now it was time to see what the job had done if it gave him the news he desired.

"Constine...you arrived three wolves short, did you run from the Hales!?"

Constine cowered in front of the Alpha of Alphas, not daring to even look at him, knowing that all he would see was anger. He was something else, this was the power of the Stratten Alpha. Still, he showed up, wishing to apologize as he knelt in front of the beast of a man.

"SIRE! Please, that boy, McCall...he clawed at my second's throat and left him to bleed out as his blood splattered over him. He sped in front of a fully formed wolf and bit his throat out...I'm telling you, Scott McCall is not the usual beta wolf. That boy is something..."

Tiberos didn't listen though, refusing to believe that a mere beta who has turned only 2 weeks ago. Now that was something, he smirked, knowing that Constine would eventually rise to the occasion or fail. Of course, this didn't come back to him and so he was fine with that. He knew what Constine could do for him, he would keep him here, he was more of use than out in the wild trying to be something he wasn't.

"You ran like a coward from a mere Beta, and here I thought you were a true wolf. A man to be looked at with fear, no, you ran and your wolves died with bravery. For that, they will be rewarded, I will make sure to kill that McCall in their name. For you failed to do that."

Of course, Tiberos did not truly care for the lives of worthless fools, they meant nothing. In the long scheme of things they truly brought out something different, they brought forth information on McCall and his skills. It was something to be observed, of course, he would be watched and it would look good for him in the eyes of his pack.

"NO! Sire, let me, I will personally hunt him down and make sure he pays for the deaths of my fellow wolves. He will not rise to the occasion that moment, I will make sure to personally bring you the head of Scott McCall and place it proudly in these halls. I beg of you, sire, let me do this, let me prove that I am the one to bring you the head of this degenerate boy-wolf!"

Tiberos sat down in his throne-like chair, he made the pretence of thinking about it. Knowing that this is what the disgraced Constine would want, to place himself in another chance to prove how dangerous he was to the pack and to his fellow wolves. He had an ego like all wolves, he would need to have it sated.

"Fine....bring me the head of Scott McCall and I will reward with the right of being an Alpha of Las Vegas, so long as you bow to me as the Godfather of Alphas. The Alpha of Alphas, do you understand?"

Constine bowed once more, understanding what was being said as Tiberos dismissed him with a simple wave of his hand as if he was a peasant.

Melinda watched this all, she needed to do something, her husband was going to destroy everything they had been building for his selfish gains. She decided, then and there, she would need to usurp him. He was already proving to be destructive and she already knew where to find her allies in this city...

Scott and Derek returned to the compound, already noticing the pack were outside waiting for them. Though they all looked to be worried, Scott smirked at Derek before they walked into the compound, noticing how everything seemed a bit too clean, maybe someone came in and did something, deciding to think on it later, Scott went to shower as he never noticed the looks that Hektor, Derek, Bonnie, and Peter shared, all of them watched him walk away as Adrian looked on at them.

"You've felt it, Derek, haven't you?"

Derek looked at all of them and he was surprised to see the understanding looks they were sending him. They seemed to be on the same level as he was, he shook his head heading into the living room as he sat down and looked at all of them. This couldn't be right but then he saw it, clear as day, the look in all of their eyes.

"I have and I can guess that we are not the only ones to know, hm, this is going to be something else. I saw it, he defeated two wolves with such ease and he never broke a sweat. He enjoys the thrill of the battle, he protected me, that is what he said and the look in his eyes...he meant it."

Scott was a protector and yet, he was becoming something that Derek couldn't yet put his finger on. Only then he saw it, another look in their eyes, they knew what Scott was becoming.

"Le Bete, Derek. That is what he is turning into and we have to prepare him for what is coming because it is going to the hierarchy in our world, forever. He is something that we cannot control but only give guidance and true protection, no one else knows this besides us and one other person."

Derek sighed but then they all felt someone crossing the line into their manor driveway. Peter led them out and it came as a big surprise when he saw Melinda Stratten along with two betas, the same ones that accompanied her when she came to talk peace terms.

"Well...well...this day is just full of surprises, isn't it?"

"I'm here to talk peace and alliances, my husband is not the man he once was when Talia Hale was alive, I wish to ally with the Hale Pack and if that means submitting and becoming a minor Alpha to you, I will do it. To preserve my pack, we don't wish for war, the Stratten Pack has always wished for peace. Tiberos changed once Talia died, he became arrogant and he knew that he had power but recently, he has changed due to the Witch and her promises."

Peter stood there, waiting for something to attack him but soon she knelt on one knee, looking at him with her golden-amber eyes and it was like this was coming true, she was submitting and he couldn't believe it had come to this but still. He looked at Derek, his eyes had narrowed on her heart, she was telling the truth, she wished to usurp her husband.

"You would wage war? Now?"

Melinda stood, looking at him with nothing but confidence, a twitch was seen as she flexed her hands, trying to find the words to say. It was quite clear, this was a spur of the moment thing but she was ready. She wished to remove her husband and if this was the way to do it, then so be it. She would make sure that happened

"Tiberos has become deluded, with tales of Le Bete, though we felt it, I know that it is not here and no one has seen that power in over a century. The apex of apex predators does no longer exist, I wish to put my husband to rest, so that he may finally go to Hircine, the hunting grounds await him."

Peter smirked, he nodded his head. This was it, they could strike when it was time. Right now, Peter wished to rest with his family.

"Fine, he will go to Hircine but if I hear of any betrayal on your part Melinda, not even Hircine will save you from the hell I will give you. The hunting grounds will not be where you go. I promise you that I will make you bleed before you even have a chance to think of stopping what was planned here, do you understand?"

She bowed to him once more, as did her ever-loyal betas. They left, not even realizing that they may have just signed their own death warrants. Peter Hale was glad though, Melinda was willing to bow to him, she was willing to give him what he rightfully deserved as a Hale. His chance at a home and living safely with his family, even if she didn't know it yet.

"I don't trust her Peter, she wants that because it's her last resort. She is using you and I can see that she doesn't truly wish to kill her husband but it is for the best. She's nervous and she's scared for him, a love like that, it's dangerous, on both sides."

Everyone turned in shock as they saw Scott dressed in a white v-neck as he wore combat pants and boots. He looked dangerous but then he smiled at them, looking at them with a grin.

"What? I was here, I needed to make sure that she wasn't going to try anything, now come on...I ordered a pizza before I heard all this commotion."

Peter shook his head and walked inside, he turned his head to look at where Melinda walked off too. Maybe Scott was right, a love like that was indeed dangerous for them to be involved in. Either way, Peter was willing to take whatever steps in order to protect his family, his pack.
