Scott McCall groaned as he woke up, all he knew that this was something different, especially the fact that he did not see Peter, Derek, Bonnie, Hektor, or even Adrian anywhere. Members of the pack, yet nothing was coming to him, he felt especially alone right now and that was when a man walked in, one he didn't even know. "Mister McCall, we've been waiting for you to wake for a while now. The family is having some breakfast, you want to join in?" Scott looked down at his hands, he balled them into his fists and then let them rollback. Waiting for any or something to happen but nothing did, all he felt was deep searing pain and he hissed. Feeling for his stab wound courtesy of Constine, the little shit. "Hmm, why would I do that? Does seem a bit odd for me to be joining in a family I know nothing about." The man chuckled, sitting down opposite him as he brushed his hair back ever so slightly. If only the young man knew more about this world than he was getting, he was stepping into another right now. Maybe that just couldn't be helped, maybe it was time for what Peter Hale said, that Scott slowly adjusts once more. "Frederick Mancini, I usually go by Fred. I work for my brother, we run a media enterprise and we found you on the streets. Bleeding out, a contact of ours, Peter Hale, he told us to find you. We did, now, I can only assume you are wondering where he is then?" Scott nodded, he tried to stand but felt hindered with the pain coming back, what the fuck was wrong with him? He shook his head, feeling oh so useless and he couldn't help but hang his head. "Yeah, it's not like him to just not come to see one of his members. He keeps himself up with that kind of thing, I just don't think he would not want to come here and see me. No matter the case." Fred actually smiled at that, like he himself had felt Peter Hale's protectiveness for what was his Pack. By the look of the man, he seemed like the average Joe. Scott tried to hear things, he tried to make sure that he could do something with what people would have deemed fairytales...only he couldn't....the deep searing pain once again came back in full force. "Well Peter couldn't make it, we'll tell you more later, we've got some things for you. Overall, get yourself comfortable, take a shower for hell's sake and make sure that you come down for some breakfast. A lot of people want to meet the famous Scott McCall and not all of them are in this family of ours." With that, Fred walked out, leaving Scott to wonder what was going on with Peter and the Pack, had they abandoned him? After telling him to control himself, after everything he had done for those bastards....had he finally been left alone? A long time ago, he would not have wanted that, now? He felt empty. |

Scott came down for some breakfast, he found himself greeted with a plethora of food. Ranging from breakfast to brunch, it had his stomach rumbling, something that one cheeky girl noticed and winked at him. beckoning him over. Scott would not lie, he was not past the point where he would deny someone right now, with a sigh, he stepped over and sat down next to the girl. "I'm Cassana, most people call me Cass though. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Scott McCall." The way she had said his name, he would not lie, it was almost melodic like she was trying to say it so sweet that it was stuck in his head. Only he knew it was the way she spoke...she held a certain amount of care and love in her eyes that could be seen from anyone around the table right now. "Really? You know of me already? Yet I know nothing of you all, I feel at a disadvantage here, I would hardly call that fair, would you?" Cass giggled, she knew that McCall was a joker but here, with the pain still radiating off of him, which was clear with the little winces he gave. He was finding ways to enjoy himself, maybe he would fit in here and maybe he finds it a better life. Either way, he deserved something more than being the talk of the house. Which is what he was right now, he was the one that they all spoke about with a fondness. "Oh Mr McCall, I think you are going to be a wonderful delight for this family and you don't even know it yet. By the way, you're with me the majority of the day, I'm going to show you around the place." Raising an eyebrow, Scott could only what she meant before all too soon, he looked out the window. They were in Vegas, that much he knew but this felt odd...it was like a part of the city he had never been in before. He turned his head, looking at Cass as she smirked at him. She seemed to be enjoying this more than he was, it seemed she was going to be in for some mischief. |

Scott and Cass had finished up their breakfast, now they were just walking around the streets. It seemed to be pretty quiet from what Scott was really used too, some people nodded to them as they had passed them, well, moreso Cass, it seemed to be a sign of respect. This was not something that he had expected but it seemed like people were rulers of some kind, he wondered what he would be doing here, he wondered what his role would be with them? Peter had not chosen these people for no reason, it was for a reason that only the man knew. Thinking of the man once again, the stab wound had returned with its pain and for a moment, he wondered what this was. Only he shook it off, he knew that he would get better, he had to get better somehow. With the help of these people here, he knew that could happen one way or another. Only soon, they were heading through an alleyway and the thing was Cass knew her way around, Scott was getting suspicious of who she really was and who she worked for. "I can almost smell the nervousness, Scottie, calm down, you're one of us now and you're with me. I'm taking care of you, nothing is going to happen to you. I promise you that. This is going to be a good time for all of us." Scott raised his brow, he wondered for a moment what she meant but then suddenly she had gone down another alleyway. Stopping at a red metal door, knocking heavily and it was answered by a brute of a man. Way over six feet tall and he seemed to be staring her down with nothing but fondness, both shook their heads at one another before Cass and Scott moved on into the building. Chefs and Waiters scattered back and forth, plates and trays in hands, it seemed to be quite an efficient place. Scott wondered what Cass had to do to get a place like this but soon she stepped through a few doors, she and Scott were in the front room. The restaurant, it seemed to be quite packed with people, talking and mutterings were heard, all Scott could do was look around in wonder. "Scott, welcome to the Blackwolf Restaurant. This is the place where we all come to talk about business, eat some of the finest food in the world and catch up on some daily business. Just sit down over there by the bar, I'm just going to talk to Sonny for a second, don't get into a fight, alright? You're in my crew today, I'm trusting you to keep a level head." Scott nodded, understanding that he could not reflect badly on her. He decided to do as she said, sitting down and ordering himself a cola. The bartender had looked at him for a second before a gleam of understanding came into his eyes, he gave Scott the cola with a small smile. "Scott McCall surprised to see you here...I had hoped that this would have been something different. Only it's not, nice to meet you, kid." Scott turned his head, noticing the man with grey hair and he seemed to be looking a bit tired. Still, he wore a clean suit and he seemed to be just getting ready for the day. It was still morning, Scott didn't usually wake up this early but here he was...he had a feeling that he would be here for a while. "It's nice to meet you as well Sir, I'm afraid I don't know your name, what is it again?" The elder man chuckled, he seemed to be enjoying the young man's company and for a moment, he did see a bit of himself in the young McCall. He was not going to be keeping him for long, it did seem a few of the bigger fish wanted to have a word with him. Who was he to deny the boy that? No one, so he simply shook his hand and with a loose smirk, he nodded his head in greeting. "Samson, Samson Maricesi. As I said, it's a pleasure to meet you, Scott. I'm sure we will have plenty of moments to talk in the future. For right now, the boss wants to talks to you." Turning his head, Scott knew the man was right, he saw Cass sitting with a man and he seemed to be looking at him with a rather fatherly smile beckoning him over. |

Scott walked over and sat opposite the elderly man, he didn't look that old and he seemed to be fairly young for his age. Maybe that was just the way Scott saw things, he smiled at Cass who gave him a nod in return. "Mister McCall, I hear from my son that you are one of the former associates of Peter Hale. The man has hailed you as a great ally and partner of his, the Hale family were once a powerful mob back in the day. Given their...affliction or whatever people call it, they were shunned and taken from this world too soon by fools who know not the power that Talia held within her own mind. She was a great ally to my family." Scott leaned forward, eagerly wishing to learn more about the Hale family, he could see that this was something important and while Peter, along with Derek never really spoke about their past all that much. He had gotten tidbits of information about Talia in passing, how great she was and what she had done for the community but this man before her, he seemed to know her more than anyone else besides her immediate family. "My name is Balon Mancini, I worked with Talia Hale a long time ago, it was an era long since passed and now we leave it to our heirs. Hence why my son is so interested in you, McCall. Peter Hale spoke of your potential and what a valuable person you would be to us if we gave you the right push." Balon reached forward, allowing Scott to reach out for his hand for a moment. He shook it in a tight grip, it seemed to be a test of some kind, though Scott wondered why it was affecting him so much. It was then that he noticed the way Cass was looking at him as well, she seemed to be upset and so did her employer. Something wasn't right with him, Scott needed to know before he could get into asking, Balon raised his hand. "Do not worry, I shall tell you. Peter Hale and his pack have left Las Vegas, they have scattered due to the Argent family. You were stabbed with a knife by Constine, a fellow man with an affliction you formerly had. Where we go from here depends on you, McCall, we can give you some time to think about what you want and how we can go about getting that. Only if you allow us to help, we will not be here holding your hand, we expect you to take care of your own and be sure to continue on the path of potential that Peter stated you had." An affliction...he formerly had? That would explain the pain he had, always. He shook his head, this couldn't be, no. It just wasn't right and he did not wish for it to be that way, he could not help himself. He had been with this for a while, he had grown used to it! He tried willing himself to do so, fighting through the pain and nothing happened...nothing, all he got was a blinding pain that threatened to make him pass out from pain and exhaustion. "How did you know?" Balon sadly smiled, holding his drink to his lips before taking a sip that seemed to take longer than Scott truly felt necessary. It was something that held tension, for the young man at the very least. "We found out when you were resting up in our care Scott, we wished to make sure that you were alright and ready for your choice of what you wished to do next with your career. We are offering you a place in the Mancini family, it is up to you whether or not you accept." |

"You know, it's not a bad idea accepting our help Scott, we can help you achieve some things that you possibly never even felt were possible, we wish to make sure that you can reach a new mantle in your life. That is what we are doing for you and we can do it better if you agree with us and accept the offer." Cass and Scott sat in a diner, it was away from the Blackwolf and seemed to be pretty quiet as Scott munched on some Chilli cheese fries. He enjoyed himself, that much was clear, only he did not trust her and that was something they needed to work on if she was going to work with him. "I don't know what to think right now Cass, my pack...those people up and left me for my potential, here I thought that I had a future with them. No, I had something very different and here I am, sitting in front of you and discussing my feelings like I'm talking to a blood therapist, what the fuck is up with that huh!? What did I do to deserve that? And I do apologize if I do not seem like I am in the greatest of moods but this is where we are now, I'm...not okay with being left behind." Cass raised her eyebrow in amusement, that was rich coming from this guy. He seemed to be embodying that since he left Beacon Hills, seemingly knowing what he was thinking, Scott ducked his head in embarrassment as he saw the smirk that grew on her lips. Something more seemed to be going on here for them, they both knew that Scott had nowhere else to go or he would be hunted down by many other people. "Scott, they did it to protect you...it may not seem like we are the most legitimate, powerful or well thought out family around. Only we have the best for you in mind, also Yen Malroux will be coming here to discuss her position as the overseeing affliction boss. She took up the role when she knew that you would be alone here, this place, this business is not one for lonely souls. I wish for you to be comfortable and I know what you can do." Cass had spoken with such passion, it was hard to deny that she had the best for him, even Scott could see it. Nothing was deniable in that right of this. She was a good person in a life that rarely rewarded generous people such as herself, only now this is where she had her other side, where she had to be the ruthless mob boss that had a lot of things on her mind. She had help in her crew but she knew, she had to be the one leading it and she could not lean on anyone too much. "If you do accept. cause I have a feeling you will, I want you to speak with Sal Bocchino, you should know him...he worked with a few people that once worked out of this city, Vincent and Valerie Carelo. They're still around, I need you to find them for me and Ricardo knows where they are, can you do that for me, Scott?" He was looking at her for a while before he nodded, he took the note she had slid onto the table, it was nothing but it was definitely something that could keep him busy until Yen arrived in the city, he needed to speak with her. "By the way, since you don't have....well your little helpers, from now on, you'll be carrying this little buddy. Keep it hidden, I don't want you getting booked with it. Keep safe and come back to the Blackwolf once you are done." Cass had slid another item onto the table, only it was wrapped in a brown bag, usually one used it for getting fruit from the local market. Only this was very different, this was no fruit and if it was, he was sure that no one was going to be eating it. He decided then, he was going to be using it only when necessary. This was his life now, he was prepared for it. He hoped. "I understand, thanks for this chance, Cass." |

Scott had made his way to where the Falconite social club, it seemed where most likely Sal would be operating. He was different, calmer and seemed able to keep himself calm, knowing that his affliction was gone or seemingly...not working, he didn't know. Only he didn't wish to believe that it was just...gone. WHY!? He had done nothing wrong... "Hey, kid. Where do you think ya going?" The bulky guard seemed to be menacing, Scott would have been scared for a moment, only he saw what looked like Sal walking inside and chatting up a few of his guys. He decided to slip the guy a fifty, looking at him with a small smirk before the guy waved him inside and Scott continued to make his way inside, walking towards Sal with determination. "Sal Bocchino?" The man in question turned his head, looking at Scott with a small smirk, it was almost like he had been measuring him up. There was nothing to be seen here, there was nothing. Of course, Scott took this in stride, he knew that people judged by first glance. He fought down his annoyance and simply raised his eyebrow, knowing this was the man and soon he took another step forward. Enough that his boys didn't try to tackle him to ground, at the very least. They were still on guard, he had to give them an A, they were good. "I'm here on behalf of some concerned friends, I'm looking for a few twins....they would have worked with you in the past. These concerned friends of mind....wish to welcome them back with open arms, regardless of other affairs." Sal eyed the kid for another moment, motioning him to a booth in the far reaches of the social club. Scott walked over with a calm face, inside he was surprised that he was doing this well and knew that he had to thank his time with Peter, he had perfected himself with talking to powerful people. "Vin and Val Carelo, I haven't heard those names in a few months. Last I heard, they were in Chicago when Valerie got gunned down and Vincent had to flee for his life, his sister's body in hand and he kept himself away from the eyes. His sister is recovered and they are both well, though they are remaining out of the life in secret. I can't sell them out kid, even if for one of the bigger crews. I gave my word." Scott nodded, word and bond, only it seemed like the Carelo's had helped him out more than that. He was giving him a look that meant different, like no matter what, he would not be selling them out. He respected that and so Scott did the only thing he could think of, he smiled. "I understand that Sal, so I will give you this, when you see them next, give them our card. Mancini Enterprise and tell them, their enemies in Las Vegas are being dealt with. I'll see you when you wish to make that call, you'll see it in the papers soon enough..." |

Scott had made his way to the Blackwolf, he sat down with a cola in hand, he was calmer than usual and he was not lost. He seemed calmer and he noticed a few of the boys had started to gather around him. Trying to engage him in conversation, so he finally let up, laughing with them and noticing how they seemed like any other guys. "Scottie! SCOTTIE!" Turning his head, Scott found himself looking at one of the associates or couriers, he passed him an envelope and Scott quickly excused himself from the boys...he walked away as he opened the envelope and noticed a location. Only that with the letters, V&V, he already knew who it was then and with that, he smiled. Scott looked over at Cass, she raised her head at him with a question in her eyes and he nodded back. She gave him the smallest of smiles that let him know, she was proud of what he was doing. Bringing a few good people to the table, something that needed to give, though it seemed like something else had brought them out of this hiding as well. It had only been a few hours, within that time, they had sent a courier back. Scott didn't know but he wondered what had done this for them, maybe it was that finally, someone was going to take care of the people that wished to take them out. The Syndicate were dying out, they did not have the support they had weeks prior to Vin and Val being gunned down, now it was barely there, with the arrival of new and fresh mobsters. "Scott, you coming?" Scott smiled, he could go later and he would bring his boss with him, meeting alone with a few of the more dangerous brother and sister duos in the mob was not something he found that all exciting. He was worried about his health and he alone could not represent the family interests in the two, so he knew that he had to bring someone and Cass had to be it. "Yeah, keep that story for me, I want to hear it when I get back there!" Scott smiled, walking back over and pocketing the note, he would be meeting with them, on their terms but with the Mancini deal, it was their only chance of surviving and getting back into the game. |

Standing outside a warehouse far from the city, that was not something any of them would have imagined for the duo of troublemakers. Now here they were, entering with clicking steps of their shoes, Scott and Cass made sure to portray their confidence in this meeting. They knew it would go well, at the very least, the promise of revenge could be enough to entice the two into joining and working with them. When they stepped inside, they were greeted by two of the infamous duo, one sat down and the other stood behind them, loyally watching Scott and Cass. It was quite tense but still, this is the way it needed to be, a meeting with one of the more business-minded people of the mob. They wished to open up plenty of opportunities for people "Vincent and Valerie Carelo, we've heard of you and we know what you can for your people. We know that you have a mind for business, connections in and out of Las Vegas, and a few connections in certain places that can allow more leeway. We wish for an alliance, you two do not have to join us but we will still grant you the protection we believe you deserve." Cass took lead, sitting opposite Vincent who offered her a small smile as Scott and Valerie traded various looks before focusing on the meeting at hand. "My sister and I, we have worked tirelessly for many people, we do not wish any ill will or something similar to occur again. We have fought well, our time may be at an end but we can find it in our selves to perhaps place ourselves in an alliance once again. We know what we can do together." Scott raised an eyebrow, there was something in his voice, he wanted something from this meeting and it depended whether they could give it or not. This world, their life, and the life that Scott was now involved in, it depended on your word and smarts. You needed to make sure that you could hang with the big fish, that you could make the deals and keep them safe for a while before seeing what else they could offer you. "The Mancini family has gone through an era of prosperity, I am sure our wealth would be double having you on our side as partners. Only it depends what you want and wish for, I cannot keep myself tied to the word of what you're saying here. I will not swear anything until I know that I am earning well on our deal." Vincent smirked and leaned forward, motioning for his sister to hand him a piece of paper, she did so and soon he slid it over to Cass, making sure that she got it and understood what he was handing over to her in their part of this deal. "This is our former scrapyard in Los Angeles, it was going to be used in a long-term racing racket, along with a few other side projects. It is yours, once we know that we are safe here in Las Vegas. When we do know, I wish to make sure that things will be better for us from this moment onwards." Cassana and Scott shared a look before looking back towards Vincent and Valerie with matching smirks, ones that turned their insides cold for a moment, believing that they might have been set up. "Can we promise them safety, Scott?" Scott did a playful act of thinking for a moment, rubbing his chin slightly before nodding his head. "Yes, as we speak, their traitorous associates are being dealt with and they will be discarded like the dishonourable bastards they are." |

The Mancini family Assasins had located Derek Falcani at a local barber, getting his hair done, only then, the Assasins had stormed in, raining bullets upon the underboss for the Syndicate. The man barely had time to think what was going on before he had the thought of grabbing his pistol, like that, Derek fell back into the barber's chair and bled out from the shots...his eyes wide as he looked at his killers. Elsewhere, Joe Salero was with a lady friend of his and he knew that he was under the protection of his boys, only then, something else happened, the door was busted down and multiple ringing shots were heard from the outside...on the inside, Joe Salero's body was riddled with bullets, as was his lady friend...no one was safe, there was more killing to be done for the betrayal of the Carelo twins... The final death of that day was Giovanni Salvador, was the most painful, the one they had trusted the most. He had been tortured, death would have been too sweet for him. He had betrayed his oath, everyone had known that and he was going to be the one that suffered the most, under the orders of Balon Mancini. Giovanni's body was said to be scarred that he was unidentifiable and his body was found outside the Maltese Liones, no one had heard of this brutality in such fashion. No one had known what to expect from the Mancini crew anymore, people thought they had been nothing but a group of fools, now they seemed to be powerful. Taking down the syndicate in a single day, waiting and biding their time. From that day, people had respected the Mancini family, they were the new crew that had earned the respect of the people. Even with the smaller crews, Balon knew that he had to manage his time a bit more carefully. That move had been ambitious, maybe it would have gotten him something else...a death but now he was in control and his group of captains could handle the fallout. He knew it. |

Vincent and Valerie stared at them for a moment, they didn't believe the two for a moment but they noticed it. The young man's eyes, it held a bestial intent and he was not lying about this, their enemies had been taken care of. They would be able to live in peace, things would be fine for them. "You can trust us...we wish for you to have a better life now. You can work with us and not worry about looking over your shoulders, you'll be working with me personally. Things from this moment are going to be different, with the Mancini's, we will protect you from all threats and that goes for anything. We are a family, I promise that you will be safe." Vincent and Valerie now shared a look, they were sharing a silent communication before they both looked to the two people that were promising them a new life, something to make sure they would be safe. This was it...they could leave their life and go elsewhere, or they could continue, they could make money and make sure they would be there for one another, always. "We have had some bad luck with our last crews, we've worked hard and we have been rewarded with death, burning, and running all over the west coast. We didn't know what was next for us. We tried our best, for some reason, we trust you and we know that you will treat us right. Our businesses are yours, we will help you however we can." Cassana nodded, this was going to be something great for them. They would need to have something good here, Scott, Vincent, and Valerie. Their family was growing to be quite the team, maybe things were going to be looking good for them. This was their chance to cement their legacy. "Good, when you're both ready, go to the Blackwolf and we can make sure that you are going to be treated correctly...all this business...it is in your blood and I know we will do great things together." |
