Damn, calling out bullshit is a money maker. 

I'm cancelling this fundraiser. A terrible idea as it turns out.  I figured if everyone else was going to judge the man based on his father's deeds, that I would do the same.  However, my opinion of the man was quite different than the others that have gathered here today.  CommissarKuku's late father was a man who showed distant relatives of mine a welcoming handshake when others snubbed him.  He encouraged his creative spirit while other pretentious members of the community shunned him and ridiculed his work.  And when the late Commissar was exiled by the federal government along with Mikhail and tiggy, he reached out to him from solitary confinement and apologized if he had put him in a precarious position of any kind.  These are my memories of the man.

Be that as it may, I guess mob-mentality wins again (and no I don't mean mob as in "the mafia" heh).  I mean the fact that despite noble intentions to help a man down on his luck, I now find myself facing adversity.  But I've accepted this, and in response I am cancelling this drive.  That seems to be the message everyone wants to force upon me, that only some people are to be given a clean slate while others are forever damned, a mindset that I had believed to be once frowned upon.  That the son of the late Commissar is undeserving of a second chance in this world.

I knew this would be an upward battle when I began this drive, thus the innovative cashback incentive.  I contemplated raising it to 50%, but at what point does it end?  A 90% cashback?  Meaning Commissar would receive the measly scraps of the remaining 10%, which was not the vision I had for this event.  But even at a generous 20% we only received one donor, Goldust, and to him I say thanks.

In regards to the $200,000 from myself and Chalk, I suppose I will put that towards tribute to my leader, much like any of you could have done had you simply asked for it.  It could have been your own leader that could have benefitted from that money.  But that ship has sailed.

As for you CommissarKuku, I guess this is where our story ends.  I'm not unashamed to be doing this, but I have to live in the world too, ya know?

TheMeTooMovement draws a line in the sand... and then steps over it, opposite of CommissarKuku, along with the others.  He gazes sullenly at CommissarKuku's feet, unable to look the man in the eye.  I'm sorry," TheMeTooMovement mutters under his breath as he stands among the other detractors.  He picks a stone up from the ground.

TheMeTooMovement - well, I guess I understand.  Sometimes it's hard, as you say, not to join in the mob.  Particularly if the mob are noisy, active, and seem unified in some...  cause.

For my part, I was really quite touched at the fundraiser.  And I expected it to raise hundreds of millions for me, and millions for those that donated to it, with your innovative cashback scheme.

The truth is, TheMeTooMovement, that I had spotted a flaw in your scheme, and I was planning on double-crossing you.  Because I planned to give $10,000,000 to some random to donate to you, to be given to me, and then, when the No Name C I was using as a stooge got the cashback, I planned to get it back off them.

But it is sad indictment of my failure in popularity that not even one person would take me up on this offer.  One of them said "I remember what happened to Scooter" - but I don't know what he was talking about.

Goldust said he wouldn't even donate even if the cashback incentive was 120%.  He actually did donate, and if he'd managed to secure the 120% cashback incentive (which I think you might have considered), then he would have made $40k profit on his $200k donation to me.

For me part, I just find all of this a bit sad.  My father was a thief, yes, but a generous one.  If he were around just now, he would have donated a huge sum of this fundraiser.

And, TheMeTooMovement, I remember visiting my father in prison, before his execution, and he learned that you'd been jailed for receiving money from him.  He was really upset.  He kept saying "all of those people are in jail because of ME"

I remember, shortly before he surrendered to the authorities, my father and me were driving in his white 1930 Cadillac V16 Madame X Sedan Cabriolet.  There were numerous police cars behind us and my father was suicidal.  He kept saying that it was all over for him.  He was in Los Angeles at the time, and, well, you can remember how famous he was.  The press were everywhere.  His friend, AC, was in the front seat, and he was using a radio to tell the cops to keep back, saying my father just wanted to go to the house he was renting, in Brentwood.  The police usually killed people like my father, but my father had been so generous to so many people, that they just let him drive his car all the way to his Rockingham estate.  

But they got him there.  And the rest is history.  

Do you take rubber checks?

Rubber-checks are good, think hell take those too easily and perhaps soon this person learn not to get so many enemies and get people to get angry, seems like not he know how the world are and its best to be polite and try to be nice instead of, yeah, we all know this so most this is bla-bla and I take up my own rubber-check and puts in on the table and then out in the fresh airs where no kuku excist for a while and its gordious again here.
