Isadora barely hesitated, "Two. Adjoining though so you don't spend the whole night worrying about me. I'll be just on the other side of the wall and if anything questionable is going on, well then you can bust in and play hero again." Isadora arched an eyebrow. "That's assuming they have rooms of that sort open tonight?" |

Lordian shook his head. "They do, no question in my mind, and if they don't they'll bump someone." He turned and stepped up to the desk then. "I need two rooms, adjoining for one evening, one for my companion Miss..." He hesitated, "Miss Black, and one for myself, I'm Mister Montini." It was his go to name. Not many people knew it any longer, but those who did knew who might use it and could still find him that way if they needed to. Or if anything happened to him, could at least find out where he was when it did. The desk clerk looked through the book, picked out a pair of rooms and set the keys on the counter. "That'll be fifteen dollars for the night sir." Lordian nodded and set a twenty dollar bill on the counter. "The rest is for tips, and can you have room service come up in about an hour to take our orders for the morning please? Everything to be charged to my room and I'll settle up at checkout." The clerk nodded and he turned to hand Isadora her key. "Looks like we're up on the fifth floor." |

Isadora smiled and followed Lordian to the elevator. For a moment they stood beside each other wordlessly and until Isadora whispered, "It was better in the car." She gave the barest hint of a smirk as the doors to the elevator opened onto the fifth floor. Down the hall, they walked until at last they came to a pair of doors. "Home sweet home." Said Isadora pausing to look at Lordian. "I had a good night - despite all the interruptions and craziness. I hope it wasn't a total flop of an evening for you?" |

Lordian shook his head. "Certainly not. Though I won't say I'm excited about the reason I'm in a hotel tonight to be fair. Not the most comfortable situation to be in." He eyed the elevator again just to be safe. "Good night Miss Esposito, sleep well, I'll see you for breakfast." With that he turned the key in the latch and opened the door. |

Isadora stood for a moment watching Lordian disappear into his room and sighed. Turning her own key in the door she entered the room and shut the door behind her. After a quick sweep of the room, Isadora took her gun out of her bag and put it on the nightstand. She opened her bags and began pulling out her evening routine. Hairbrush, toothbrush, rollers, and a face mask. Jumping into the shower she quickly washed the day off her, removing her make-up and exited feeling fully herself. A quick look in the mirror and she began brushing her teeth, brushing out her hair and then setting it in rollers. Hair done, she took the time to put on her clay mask. She smiled at her green face as it began to set. She looked like something out of one of those science fiction feature films. Satisfied everything was as it should be, she slipped between the sheets and fell quickly into a deep and dreamless sleep. --- Isadora was up with the sun, dressed and setting her hair all before breakfast came knocking at her door. Garabaldi's men hadn't tracked them down and so at least that much seemed to have boded well for the day being a good one. The scent of pancakes and bacon wafted through her room, as the young man wheeled the cart out onto the patio. She tipped him and only once he'd slipped back out the door, closing it behind him, did she knock on the door between the two rooms. "Lordian? Breakfast has arrived, I'm decent if you want to join me?" |

Lordian looked up groggily from the corner of the room, half smoked cigarette still hanging from his mouth. he would sleep tonight, and sleep well. "On my way!" He called out as cheerily as he could manage through the door. He stood and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth, and attempt to make himself look like he hadn't spent all night pacing and smoking. It was not a well donned disguise, but he smiled as he unlocked the door between the rooms and knocked. "May I come in Miss Esposito? The breakfast food you have over there smells delicious, I hope they treated you nicely." |

"Absolutely!" She called out. "Come in, the blueberry pancakes are getting cold." Isadora had already poured herself a cup of coffee, chosen one of the pancakes and two slices of bacon. Her hair and make-up were perfection, she looked like a picture set out on the patio overlooking the city instead of the green alien she resembled just a short while ago. "I hope you're hungry, they brought up a lot. And look at all this fruit!" She smiled at the food and then took in the sight of Lordian. "Goodness! Did you sleep?" |

Lordian shrugged. "No bodyguards to do the job." He picked up a piece of melon and popped it into his mouth before heading for the pancakes. "What about you? You certainly look refreshed, like the sun woke up to see your shining face." He smiled as he took a bite of the pancakes and was slightly disappointed. Not quite mom's cooking, not terrible, but even he could have done better. "So, what's the grand master plan for today then? You leaving town soon, or do you plan on taking the fight to this Garabaldi fellow?" |

Isadora chuckled at Lordian's compliments followed up by his question of what her plans were. "Well aren't you the battle commander?" She shook her head. "Unless you think my pot roast has superpowers, I probably should count myself lucky I didn't have to cross paths with Mr. Garabaldi and cut my losses. I think heading for Detroit would be wisest right now. I doubt he'll go to all the trouble of following me there. He's not important enough of a boss to have any real authority outside of this city." "I'm thinking, you and I enjoy this lovely breakfast, as it's one of the best I've had in some time, and then we make the trip back to Detroit. I can met up with my new boss, and start settling in to do some real work. And who knows maybe I'll find some time for some fun in the middle of all that work?" She popped a bit of pancake into her mouth chewed and then asked, "What about you? What's your grand plan for today?" |

Lordian took in what Isadora was saying and nodded his agreement as she spoke. "Oh I think I'll get you on a plane and then take care of what other business I have out here before heading home." There was no way this woman was going to settle down in Detroit without her belongings, he's hire a truck and a few guys to load the thing and then drive it himself to Detroit, better than flying anyway and he could personally make sure that nobody followed him. If things got ugly? Well, he could make a phone call home first if he caught wind of anything. "Best breakfast you've had in a while huh? You've been misled my dear. One of these days I'll show you what a real breakfast looks like." He picked up his coffee then and made his way onto the balcony. "Least it's a nice day, not too cold out." |

"You plan to have more breakfasts with me?" She arched an eyebrow over her cup of coffee as she sipped it. |

Lordian nodded. "Oh at least one. This is paltry, so you've got to be show what's really good so you know the difference. After that?" He shrugged. "Who knows. I don't even know if I'm going to make it back to Detroit in one piece. Just gotta take it day by day and never stop enjoying yourself, no matter the consequence. I've fit enough men for a good sturdy pair of shoes to know that I'm gonna get my own one day and I don't want to have been holding back when I do." He downed the rest of his coffee then and made his way back inside. "Should I let you pack and get ready then?" |

She tilted her head, her hair falling softly on her cheek as she looked at him, like someone puzzling out a mystery before her. "You're so matter of fact about such a heavy topic as death. You're a fascinating man, Lordian." She took her napkin and patted her lips clean, leaving a bit of her lipstick on the cloth napkin. "I suppose I should. Thank you for the company this morning, and the protection last night. It seems I keep finding myself in your debt." |

Lordian smiled and nodded, donning an accent of an old Italian man then. Really, he was trying to sound like Mister Cippolla from back home, but Isadora didn't know that. "And one day, I will ask you for a favor in return, and you will do this thing for me because your are honorable, and your word is all you have in this life, and it will carry you to the next." He straightened up then and chuckled. "Not too bad huh?" He then swept through the room back to his own suite to give her privacy, leaving her to wonder exactly how serious he was about what he had just said, accent or not. |
