Wilde, worn out from buggering Connor_McManus, lies back on his four poster bed.  He resolves to compare notes from some overly dramatic wench he availed himself off some time previously.  He forgets her name, something Irish.  He draws a bath, and thinks about what he would do if he were an exceptionally wealthy man...

"I have acquired some enemies, in the short time I have been here.  It is, I know, their problem, and not mine, that we are enemies.  But some of them, well, I believe that the world would be better off without them.

I'd like them to die, yet I do not want to die in the process.  Would not, I contend, a system whereby one could simply pay another man to duel be a better system?  Let's imagine that I was the wealthiest mobster that ever lived, could I find the most lethal gunman around, slip him several dozen million to stand in for me at the duelling range, and then pay the knucklehead with whom I have a quarrel a similar total to duel the fearsome gunman?

Let's be blunt.  I didn't make love to Connor_McManus.  The buggering was with words, not with male physical length.  Whilst I probably would bugger Connor, I am not a thief in such matters.  And he seems to me too upright to engage in receptive homosexual physical union.  

I believe that his death would be a net positive for this society.  If I could, I would pay him to take part in a duel.

Should this be allowed?  Should we be allowed to incentivise duelling?
