| Exclusive: Kirsty Interviews Marlboro! (p1) | Started by: Kirsty on Apr 22, '20 08:45 |

Kirsty exits the BBC studios where she works, steps into a waiting sedan and driven too a podium. Her work for the BBC is simply an avenue for her to gain access to the high quality and calibre of interviewees that she intends to bring to the Streets. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen. It is my opinion that for too long the newspapers and interviewing greats of our time have focused on the Big Names: men like Grin-07, SeanCallan, Hypno and Rizadon have been sought out for interview, and understandably so. They are the eloquent masters of this universe and what they say goes. But I feel, very strongly, that the current crop of newspaper writers, the likes of Goldust and SamAdams, whilst talented in their own way, are limiting themselves. So it is that I approach this world with a new approach, strategy and vision. It is in pursuit of that vision that allowed me the editorial freedom to interview Marlboro. Marboro is currently an associated of alleged crime boss MirkoFritzinger and, at the time of interview, appeared to be a wealthy and confident mobster. Anyone who knows him, and he is among the best known associates of Mr Fritzinger, will know already that he is eloquent, friendly, dapper and possessed of a Some things are best left without much of an intro. So here, without any further ado, is the interview with Marlboro: Q "What does War mean? That's certainly a curious question to pose to someone so new off the boat. War is the combination of change, power, and profit." Marlboro takes a long drag out of his cigarette before continuing. "We have no motivator to go anywhere due to all these things, but chasing them leads us nowhere as well." he blows a smoke ring before dissipating it among the rest of the smoke "War is part of the paradox of being human." Marlboro lays out the cigarette in one of the ashtray's ridges before proceeding. Q "What would you do if you were the most powerful Godfather in this thing? "If I was the mot powerful Godfather, I'd do what's best for my family. But that's already what I do. Honor your family, honor your friends, and honor your bloodline. It's the least anyone in our lifestyle can do, really.". Q What do you admire most in this world? Marlboro fiddled with a small silver cigarette case before answering. "The person I admire the most in this world is a crazy bastard named Jones. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him personally, but my uncle Luckies did and the letters he sent back are absolutely astonishing. It's a rare thing, finding friendship in this lifestyle.". Q Who do you dislike most in this world? Marlboro picked up his cigarette before taking a long drag out of it and answering. "I don't dislike anyone in this world. I'm fresh off the boat, I have no time to pay mind to rivalries that'll bring me no profit." He nodded slowly, pausing to enjoy another puff of his cigarette before continuing. Q (To Kirsty from Marlboro) "Is there anything else I can help you with?". And with that, the interview was over for now. But will be back to continue. Fascinating, insightful and expansive, Marlboro's interview fulfilled the vision I had of a world where everybody gets to have a voice. |

Fascinating stuff, Kirsty, bravo. While our newspapers concern themselves with the machinations of the ruling class, it is a joy to come to the streets and hear the recognizable timbre of the common man. Even better to have plucked an eloquent and thoughtful person like Marlboro out of the rabble, and not suffered the misfortune of kicking off your series with some abominable wretch like Elodin, who is both irrelevant and notoriously unpleasant. Will future subjects face different questions or is this the template we can expect going forward? |

Zapata I like to get to know my interviewees a little first and identify their specialist areas. Any questions you'd like to see posed? |

If you ever interview that sadistic vilain and treacherous kitten-strangler, puppies-drowner Zapata, ask him how he can live with bullying poor and innocent creatures. I am sure he has a dark secret to hide to vent his frustration on cute animals. That being said, I like the idea of interviewing people outside of the ruling class. I'm sure many of them have something to say, and a lot of us would be curious to hear about it. I look forward to reading your next interview, Kirsty. |

Excellent work Kirsty, a thoroughly unusual and thought provoking read and I look forward to reading your next foray into the world of Journalism. Certainly, interviewing an associate member is far more believable than claiming that the public servants at city hall can get you a direct pipeline to God. |

Elodin, unfortunately, my station in this world does not permit me to take part in Kirsty's participant pool. Though I come from very humble beginnings, I'm stuck in a spot where I'm not important enough to be interviewed by newspapers but not lowly enough to be of interest for man on the street reporting. It has gotten to the point where SamAdams has resorted to tossing hundred dollar bills at VoxNeruda, who is literally homeless, for scoops when I am readily available and don't carry around handfuls of brown meat like a dog unwilling to give up a tennis ball. Nipper, no hay bronca, hermano, but he's your responsibility now. And I don't want to hear anymore about these cats that have been disappearing around the HQ. I'm not the guy walking around with strange meat dripping from his fists. If anybody wants a good interview, ask Neruda what he's doing over the barrel fire every night. |

Zapata - thanks for mentioning VoxNeruda. Whilst he is indeed upper structure, he is also homeless, so I have opted to interview him. Watch this space. |
