DurzoB listens from the back of the assembled crowd, towards the end of Stallions speech he moves forward towards the front intent on getting his views heard. After Stallion steps down he stands in front of the small crowd. |

I always have been and always will be a believer in the family, at times in the past my line has been in families and things have not been what they wanted. But that family took them in, helped them throughout their career and kept them safe so for my line to betray them... |

Melis stands there for a moment looking at Stallion. Listening to his words her mind starts into motion.
I don't want to go into an elaborate speech about my thoughts on this so I will keep it short and sweet.
If my Crewleader and/or Godfather ever started to ruin something they worked so hard for I really would hope they would come to their senses sooner or later. However, that being said I hope that is never the case because I honestly wouldn't know what I would do since I have never been in that situation.
As for betrayal of a friend, I have learned recently that it will happen. It won't be easy to keep or even mend that friendship afterwards if at all. Do I personally think there is a good reason for it? Not unless you think it'll affect your city at some point. As I'm sure we all have friends outside of our cities but for most of us our own cities will come first over our personal friendships.
Having finished her train of thought she looks around and backs out of the way for other people. |

Shedao listens to the questions asked and thinks upon his response before speaking.
I find that if you believe that your leader is handling things wrong then you keep your mouth shut unless you are in the inner circle; then you can raise your concerns. If he still doesn't listen, then, well, you just deal with it. You swore an oath and you live up to that oath.
However, I find that, as usual, things change when a Godfather is introduced to the mix. If you are a leader who is under the command of the Godfather, you live up to that oath as long as it's the best thing for your people. If you find that your Godfather is taking actions, making policies, or creating situations that are detrimental to your people you have to ask yourself a question: Which will bring more harm to my people, following the Godfather, or deposing him?
The way I see it is that one you are simply a member of a crew you are not responsible for anyone but yourself. If, however you are a Crew Leader under the authority of a Godfather, than you hold a responsibility to the people that are under your banner as well. You have to do your best to support the members of your crew because they've entrusted their very lives into youir care. You expect them to do their best for you, so you can do no less.
A recent example was that of Godfather Cherokee. He decided, with the agreement of the other Saint Louis Bosses that the best course of action for their crews was to depose Godfather Joey and for Cherokee to take his place. Was the the best course of action? We'll never know, but my father did tell me that he enjoyed his time under Godfather Cherokee's leadership. |

Indeed, It is a very tough decision to verify if it is an act of betrayal or just a must to do for the survival of the many or Himself. My bloodlines has encountered many of this things. The fact that everyone has an ambition to be on the top or just to survive is a clear evidence that it is a necessary thing to do on the person's perception on the very least.

Africanus adjusts his tie and begins to speak, An old friend told me these words in reference to similar subject manner. "It's a crime if we lose and if we don't it isn't." Africanus begins to smile, his smile pauses as he sucks in more air to continue to speaking. He was an avid mouth breather when passion got the best of him. I do believe that makes the difference. Winning and Losing. TheDean won. Cherokee won. All the while many others have lost are named traitors. I'm not raining on either man's legacy as my closest friends and family worked feverishly for TheDean and would of followed him to the River Styx. |

Over hearing a discussion about treason, Katie stopped to listen. As Stallion asks the questions to the crowd that gathered, she mulled over her own answers in her head. |
