Kirsty exits the BBC studios where she works, steps into a waiting sedan and driven too a podium.  Her work for the BBC is simply an avenue for her to gain access to the high quality and calibre of interviewees that she intends to bring to the Streets.

"Today/s interview is with Chalk.  Chalk is best known for his presence on the Streets, or, more accurately, people's reactions to his presence on the Streets.  He's a high-ranking member of his crew, but it's also fairly obvious that he isn't really what you might call "upper structure material" which is why we are delighted to include him in our series of interviews with the powerless and excluded members of our society.  Clearly ambitious, a poverty of talent seems to stalk chalk, but having said that, he gave quite a good interview, though he clearly was too scared to say what he really thought of Chicago.  That Chalk remains alive is something of a mystery, as he has managed to insult and anger many powerful people.  Remaining impartial during this interview was difficult, as Chalk was unreliable and sketchy - taking up to half an hour to answer a simple question.  Homicidal rage was the order of the day, but, understanding my low station in life, and the simple lack of a weapon, and my adherence to the rules of this thing, meant that of course I wasn't going to shoot Chalk.  I really tried to like him, but honestly, it was like walking with stones in your shoe.  You do it because you can't stop, but you're so relieved when you finally get rid of them.  Nonetheless, thanks Chalk, and maybe we can do part 2 soon?

KIRSTY: What inspired the nickname CHALK:?

CHALK: The nickname came from the different vernacular of friends of mine. Due to the thick accent of those people from a little English town called Burnley, when they would try to say 'Choke' it would sound like “Chalk”. I adopted it to make fun of them. Strange, I know.

KIRSTY: / What is your beef with Chicago?

CHALK: Could you elaborate more on what you mean by beef with Chicago? I don't have any beef with the city. A couple of Chicago members and myself have had public disagreements, but I wouldn't say there is any 'beef' there. I actually think if circumstances were slightly different we'd get along quite well. I think the way the streets were around a week ago contributed to the disagreements.

KIRSTY: But you have had spats with most of the upper structure.  Let me post the question a different way how do you feel about Chicago? Is there anything you'd like to say to them?

CHALK: I feel like Chicago are trying to keep the streets busy and continue the activity we have seen there recently, which is a good thing. I have had disagreements with members of Chicago, but I think most of these were brought about by the late CommissarKuku. Since he has not been around, I feel there has been a more mutual respect between us. I could be wrong though. Defending members of your city is a good trait to have, so I would never hold that against them. As for what I would like to say to them, is this We may have had disagreements, and I think there has been a poor choice of words used from both sides, but if there is any genuine ill will towards me, then I am more than happy to discuss this with anyone and hopefully bury and hatchets that remain.

KIRSTY: What was your beef with the late CommissarKuku? Do you feel in any way responsible for his death?

CHALK: I don't wish to speak ill of the dead, but I will say this; CommissarKuku was an acquired taste, that my palette wasn't particularly fond of. I don't feel at all responsible for his death. He died in a duel with Sanction. He was very keen on duelling, and had sent myself and another member of Detroit a challenge, so maybe this was how he wanted to go.

KIRSTY: And finally, what is your vision for the Streets? You are vocal what do you know that others don;'t?

CHALK: My vision for the streets would simply be one that creates interaction between people, and encourages those that wish to be a vocal member of our society. It's well documented that I am not a fan of fantasy storytelling, or those stories which have a hint of exploitation about them, as I don't believe this is what the streets are for. I have however learned to be slightly more mellow in my approach to voicing my opinion regarding this, as I made some mistakes in the past. I don't think I know anything particularly special that others don't, however there are benefits to being vocal, but also some detriments. The main thing is I enjoy conversing with people, and trying to learn differing views, and ultimately that is why I try and be in the streets when I can.

KIRSTY: But why do you persecute those that enjoy telling fantasy stories? What gives you the right to pontificate and proselytise?

CHALK: I believe there is a time and a place for fantasy stories. I would never say that people wishing to tell these stories should keep their mouths shut and never share them with anyone, however I don't believe the streets are the place for them. I'm aware to begin with I was pontificating, however I have tried to move away from this style now. Free speech give me the right to express my opinion, and that's all that I am now trying to do.

 KIRSTY: Anything you'd like to finish with?

CHALK: I'd like to say thank you for interviewing me. It's good to see some less important people being given a platform and some questions that might not be otherwise asked.

I do think your introduction of me is a little unfair, so I'll defend myself.

I made it very clear before we started the interview that I was conducting other business and therefore wouldn't be able to answer as promptly as I would've liked to. You decided to continue with it though, and it's unfortunate that you have held that against me.

I'm sorry that I incite homicidal rage inside of you, I'm not sure how you could know me well enough for that to be possible.

As for what I really think about Chicago, the answers are in the interview. I have not pulled any punches. Since our disagreements we have had some good conversations.

Having said that, a part 2 would be lovely.

Hi Chalk, thanks for taking the time to respond.  I was probably a bit harsh.  You had mentioned that you were busy, it's just that I don't like being kept waiting, and then I had the editing to do etc.  I made over $400k on the last interview, so I'm hoping your pull in the big bucks too.
