| His First Day Out of Prison (ORP) | Started by: Kirsty on May 02, '20 12:16 |

It was Big Ape's first day out of prison. He was distraught. He'd been in prison since he was 18 years old; a skinny kid, heck, he didn't even have hairs on his chest back then. He was convicted of murder, that's true, but he wasn't a murderer like the other murderers that he met and befriended. Big Ape learned that, in terms of murderers, he was a novice. He'd previously thought that to be murderer, all you had to do was murder someone. That was part of the reason why he'd actually murdered someone. He thought back to a conversation about this very matter, that he'd had with his first cell-mate: Huge Ape. Huge, as he liked to be called, said that Big Ape was stupid to assume that simply murdering someone made someone a murderer. No, that isn't true, said Huge, you have to murder a lot of people; murdering has to become second nature. You have to enjoy it. Otherwise, you just committed a murder. Big Ape was fascinated, and wondered what else Huge had to say on this matter. They began to talk: Big: but how did you get into a position where you could just murder so many people that you became a murderer? Huge: well, this is going back some time, but the main man in charge of the world, what he did was, he killed anyone that could be a threat to him. These killings became known as "the purges" and that's when murder became really popular. Big: murder was popular? Huge:obviously the people being murdered didn't like it. We were't popular with them, or their children. Fact is, they hated us. But the DRUS liked us. Big: the DRUS? Huge: the Disorder Regime Upper Structure. That's who we worked for. Fascinated, Big Ape began to wonder what it would have been like to have been a murderer. He realised that, thus far, his life had been an abject waste. He's committed a murder, believed himself a murderer, and got to jail and realised that he wasn't important. Huge Ape agreed that he'd make a strategic error; that he should have committed more murders before declaring himself a murderer. Big Ape asked what he could do to become powerful, famous, a big shot now. Huge signed, and said
Big Ape was astonished, and wondered why Huge would leave himself open to an attempted murder at some point in the future. Huge made some reasonable points:
Big Ape saw the sense in what he was saying and said that he was eager to start his training. Huge began explaining the dangers that he would now face and what to do about it;
Big Ape was fascinated. Could he be Huge's prison wife? He didn't particularly want to be, but then again, having just found that he wasn't a murderer, he wasn't quite sure what he could be. And, besides, he had sometimes, when drunk, dressed up as a housewife and followed a local vagrant to a public restroom, saying to him "I'll take over" before kneeling or bending over for whatever intrusive masculinity presented itself. Perhaps, thought Big Ape, he was already a Prison Wife and this was his destiny. And besides, he really had to know what the next step was. So he asked Huge "what's the next step?" Huge grinned and replied
Big Ape thought back to those long, forbidden, sometimes painful, and always damp, hours spent in the cubicle with the man-sized hole in it and resigned himself to what he must do. His last words to Huge before striding over to fulfil his date with destiny were
