Looking for some insight on a good gaming computer,An avid gamer such as myself,exploring my options..Alienware is my first choice of something in the line of performance.Maybe some of you have something you are using that performs just as well,with a cheaper price. Please post it here..

Not that I know much about computers on the external side of things, but I do know that Alienware is overpriced. You can build your own or have someone build one for you for cheaper. I dunno the exact parts nowadays to make a good gaming computer, sadly. However, I am sure someone around here does.

Drop me a MM and I can help you out with that as I will need to know what you are looking for, but Alienware is just an overpriced Dell computer. Building is the best option.

alienware is overpriced indeed and when you make your own computer you can pick the parts which you'd like or prefer :]
i've never built one myself but from what i've heard it won't be really hard

I have a Dell XPS which has been really pretty good, overall in all of my gaming. Building, I'm sure would have been cheaper, but that wasn't really an option for me, so I went with the XPS. It's cheaper than the Alienware too. I upgraded the ram/video card etc from the default options.

Panda said it right<Build your own you can control what you want in it as far as how good the parts are and brand,Way cheaper and way better.

What kind of budget do you have?
