Roman hatched a great plan to sustain and grow an empire, and have to give credit where credits due to build such power.  No is not nice if that comes at you hurtlinng at 100mph but is the nature of the game.  Most of us play with the idea of getting to the top and leave a lasting mark on the game but not all of us will.   Many names will end forgotten or never noticed but thats the constant challenge.  When Romans gone will be someone else to measure up against, and same after their gone too. 

At the end of the day no matter the bodyguards, the shots taken, still 1% hits, whackbacks and as we have seen in the past attempted overthrows. No one lives forever...

Everyone here who's been insulting the poster, saying he's jealous, crying, etc etc. Did any of you actually read the post? Because if you did, I think you'd notice that he doesn't actually accuse Roman of anything. In fact, he dignifies and takes heed that all Roman wants to do is keep people alive. So please, shut the fuck up and read.

The guy was on the right track. This place getting stagnant is a detriment to the community as a whole. One group in power for too long is a detriment to the community as a whole. Does that mean the powerful group should be removed? Yes, it does. Do you have the balls to do it yourself? Thats up to each person to decide. Personally, I like to sit back and watch. Always have. Its my thing. I let others play the hero, be the brave, and make the guns. I like to make money.

Do I think Roman is destroying our community by being in power? No, because frankly, I haven't seen Roman doing much lately. Granted, this is from an outsiders perspective, but it does seem to me that he's taken a backseat lately and just let the game run. So I don't get the slights at Roman as much these days. For what it's worth, just having a powerful character isn't destroying anything. In fact, being in power yourself won't do anything.

The real key is that people are so fucking weak these days. No one has the testicle fortitude to go up against Roman. Shortly after Deimne's take down, there was another war. This one against Roman and Grin. I was in on that war. But nobody listened to me. "Take Roman out, fucking shoot at roman you ignorant pricks why the fuck are you shooting at Grin!"

I believe those to be my exact words. Yes, I was a bit heated. You'll have to excuse me, at the time I was still upset about Deimne's death. Anyway, Grin died, having had more bodyguards, and a weaker gun, than Roman. Moral of the story? If you're a fucking pussy you will get no where in this life. People had artificially inflated their view of how many bodyguards Roman has at any given time, and for what reason? Because he's an admin? Because he's been a Godfather before?

No.

Because he's a fucking damn good player, and he knows how to make you think what he wants. Love him or hate him, you have to respect him.

Yeah Neal pretty much hit the nail on the head. I haven't been playing nearly as long as most on here, and in the short time I've been playing the only people I've seen really running the game (prior to current-day Roman) have been Marietta, ThomasRourke, Deimne. Marietta and ThomasRourke both retired, and I recall TR's OOC speech explaining why he chose to step down was because he had become far too powerful. So at the time I really thought that when somebody becomes that strong the only way things would change would be for the top dog to voluntarily step down. Deimne took the throne after TR's retirement and I just kind of assumed we'd have to wait things out until he decided to step down before there was another change.

I perceived Deimne as invincible much like I had perceived Marietta and TR before him to be. SpaceMountain and Gwarble came along and showed me that nobody on here is invincible. With the right stratgey, work ethic, and saavy, any power can be removed. I never really understood the mindset of not working towards removing the strongest players on here, and sometimes it seems like a lot of players/leaders/cities are just waiting around for their turn to be wiped out next. Like I said I'm just citing recent examples from the limited time I've been playing this game, so maybe everything I just stated isn't all that unusual to older players who have seen more than me. But there's a lot of people on here who have been playing as long or are even newer than me so I figured I'd toss in my 2 cents.

If Roman wasn't admin/owner whatever he is people would just be belly-aching about whatever person was in his place. It's not incumbant for the top dog to bow out for the good of the game, be it an admin, owner, or otherwise. That accountability should fall on the other players to step up and be a game-changer and I some times think that is lacking here much to Neal's point.

I don't give two shits about any of this. All I have to say, is that 3-D porn is an awful idea.  I don't want any of that stuff flying off the screen at me.

I just think its rather sad that some people, and not just roman, keep on going and going and going.  driven to reach the top of the game time after time.  Even moreso if you are on the owner/dev/admin side of that same game.  You could be spending all that time doing things that are even more productive for the game.

If you knew absolutely anything about how Roman's character got started, or ended up a CL, you wouldn't say that. (And if you do know and say that, then you're just trying to be catty and it doesn't suit you, because you're a cow. :> ) Sometimes people don't sign up to be the 'top of the game', and they just happen to end up there. In fact, I'd wager to say that 90% of the people at Godfather didn't expect to hit Godfather with their account the day they signed up.

And you're completely right. We all have our obsessions, and addictions at that. That's why we're all here. Glad you could join us. :)

It's probably also best to mention at this point, (as I've seen this mentioned in the thread time and time again) that at no time during a CL's life do they have access to Admin capabilities, so it doesn't matter what he is outside of his account. Even if Roman was a magician/psychic/criminal mastermind- the Admins have all the good shit under lock and key.

the only additional comment I plan to make is that the ONLY way you can become GF is to spend a LOT more time on the game than 99% of the other players.  Of course, there is the whole staying alive to get there and once you are there, still staying alive.

Nevertheless, it takes an obscene amount of time clicking buttons, I was like that once, and then I came to my senses.

That I disagree with. You could spend hardly any time on the game but if you survive for ages then all those little hours will add up and you could still reach GF that way. Being honest and looking back at my history. I never once saw Roman online for a very lengthy amount of time however that also could of been cause he is from the US and I am from the UK.

But still.. you can reach GF without spending alot of time on the game. It also depends on what you do in that time you are online. Someone could spend 15hours a day but if they just petty and felony and mail people.. they aren't going to get to GF as quick as someone who is online for like 3 hours and doing solid jail breaking.
