Here we go again. with that bloodlining. Started by: Smurfette on May 20, '20 03:03

So I have been here a couple years. I have seen families be bloodlined and  my own family  has been bloodlined .

Don't think for one second  this is  your typical bloodlining discussion. Nope I don't care what your opinion or feelings are  on the topic at all. That is not even the reason for me coming out here tonight and starting this. No, my intention is to find out the stories behind the bloodlinings. To possibly help those newer to these not repeat the  perceived mistakes that those who have been  bloodlined have been perceived to commit.

Now, I understand that no two people can witness the same situation and see the same thing. This has been proven impossible, because people perceive situations according to their knowledge of the situation. This can be influenced by their culture, their society and events from their past. Nonetheless there will be something to be learned by those newer to these shores.

My families  story of being bloodlined happened with a member named Dineles Sithro. She was  only  fourth generation in the States. Our family lost the previous three generations to a war and then a massive purge.  The generation before her was Leah Song, her actions prompted the bloodlining of the next several generations to come.  As all those from my bloodline are she was loyal to her family. Unlike the rest of my bloodlines she was how do say naively loyal.

She became disgruntled and started questioning her naivety in her loyalty when the RH of the outfit she worked for would make jokes about her getting pick pocketed. She never spoke of being pickpocket other people bragged about doing it.  Now jokes are all fine and dandy when they are not rape related. She did not appreciate these vulgar insinuating  jokes and went to the Cl about the issue. She was told as long as they are not directed at one specific person then it is fine. Leah showed the CL the evidence that showed it was directed at her specifically. She then again was written off.

Over several weeks she withdrew from the crew socially, no one noticed which she suspected after the way she was treated over the vulgar insinuating jokes. She sat there according to  family journals asking herself if they don't respect her as a person, why should they get her loyalty.  After all loyalty is earned through respect. Yet, she remaind under their family name and worked and payed her taxes and tributes as expected. All the while becoming angry with herself for putting up with it  and finally realizing that if she worked for them she condoned the behavior .

A war happened while she was wrestling over why she should be loyal when she wasn't respected as a fellow human.  With the turmoil of death around her some cities dead and hers dying. She committed suicide.  Rather than deal with the mental turmoil of helping to save a city and people who expected her to have loyalty , respect, and to stand behind them when they would not do the same for her.

Dine, the next genration,  as a result was bloodlined with the message that she had no friends in this world. Most of Dines entries are  dark bold-lined letters repeatedly saying You have no friends here.   Pages and pages of this repeated text as if it became a mantra of hers.

Dines entries are a dark period in my bloodline, her history to this  day affects how my bloodline deals with people on these shores.  The last page of  her journal entries had a message from an unknown source apologizing to her for the bloodlining. This has been a curiosity in my bloodline for many, many generations. Our family riddle if you will.

Why you may wonder.

Well because if someone is going to apologize for their part in something, that means that those actions were wrong in the first place.  A misplaced, misjudged bloodlining maybe? Maybe not.

Perhaps we are all human after all and make mistakes and misjudgments. Especially when we do not have both sides of the story.

I know some of you will come out here and twist  this into something it is not and that is fine everyone's ego needs to be stroked, and no two egos can stroked the same way.

I invite you though to not be critical or turn this into some to bloodline or not bloodline discussion, but to share a story where you feel your bloodlining may not have been exactly justified, due to lack of knowledge of the whole picture.

After attending a couple funeral services Stoney remembered there was bloodlining subject introduced by Smurfette he wanted to touch base on.

Report Post Tip

Stoney apologizes for the delay in his thoughts but more important matters took presedence

Smurfette, this is what I hear from you. You been around for two years. (You meant to say your kin has been around these parts for two years)

You contradict yourself when you speak of Dineles

The biggest mistake you made from the onset was stating you do not care about opinions or feelings. And you seek a response?

I am not an egotistic.

Here is some constructive criticism. Come again!

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

Uh Stoney your interpretation tells me so much about. Like you only listen to respond, not for understanding as you state.

If you understood anything I wrote it should have been the part where I said

I know some of you will come out here and twist  this into something it is not and that is fine everyone's ego needs to be stroked, and no two egos can stroked the same way.

I invite you though to not be critical or turn this into some to bloodline or not bloodline discussion, but to share a story where you feel your bloodlining may not have been exactly justified, due to lack of knowledge of the whole picture.

Now are you being the first one twisting this into something it is not?

Or

Are you going to share a story of when you were bloodlined or even for that matter helped bloodline someone and for what reason.

If you are just going to stroke your ego  by trying to turn this  into some pissing match. I suggest you have another beer and fill that bladder of yours a bit more.

Report Post Tip

I was being nice. And I don't drink beer.

Thanks for confirming my initial thoughts. Have a good day sweetheart.

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

Can you  teach me that trick. It is a very good one  Smurfette turns her head from side to side with a quizzical look on her face.

I just don't understand how you can be be so agile that you can have your foot in your in mouth and your head up your ass at the same time.

Nice trick

To be totally honest, I came here expecting this topic to be on Gargamel and I was kind of surprised that it wasn't.

As for this community, there will always be people around that like you or dislike you for what your ancestors did. I assume that the fact that the journals speak of an apology note must have giving you enough comfort to not feel threatened about your lineage, Right?

Personally, I am sure some of my forefathers may have been shot because of who their ancestors were, but luckily I don't have journals. So I can freely say that I don't have any story or recollection of anything similar. Not having journals really helps me to feel all Right.

Report Post Tip

My family has never been bloodlined in this world. I believe that it because we have never fell into one of the 3 categories of bloodlining.

The 1st Category are those who did something right. The Roman's Anita's, Deimne's and Curtis's of this world, who rose to unparalleled power, and hung on to it with an iron fist. People are scared of what they achieved, and how they ruled, and therefore seek out their progeny and put them done to prevent their rise to power and the creation of the next great empire. If you weren't on their side at the time of their reign, I can understand how this might terrify you and drive you to kill their offspring.

The 2nd Category are those that did something wrong. You have put yourself into this category, and others in it would be the likes of the Kuku bloodline. Those who spoke their minds at the wrong time, betrayed their CL or City and the like. People don't like them or don't trust them, so they go out of their way to kill them. They see the repeated killing of them as their civic duty, because generally they don't trust you, even if it was your great grandmother who was the sinner. Those constantly hitlisting Kirsty, and stating it is because she is of the Kuku bloodline are guilty of this 2nd form of bloodlining.

The 3rd Category is the most bizarre, and most in this category started out in one of the first two. These are the people that are killed over and over again because it is deemed funny to do so, and I dare say that this is the category that you actually belong in. The bloodliners find your reaction to the repeated slayings humorous. You come into the streets and whine, complain, stamp your feet and generally throw a hissy fit, and this gives your killers a big jolly as they laugh it up on IRC avenue. You are not the only one to fall into this category. A good friend of mine, who has since moved to New Zealand was so annoyed at being repeatedly killed that he actually changed his name to StopKillingMe in an attempt to get his slayers to stop. In fact it used to be joked that you weren't actually a killer unless you had killed one of SKMs family, even within his own group of friends.

Bloodlining is apparently a sin as laid out by the Gods, one for which there is apparently a portion of divine retribution, but it is a hard crime to prove. In a society were people regularly die during wars and gun malfunctions, how do you prove that your relatives death was anything more than an unhappy coincidence? Even when the evidence is apparent, it can still be hard to prove. Should Kirsty pray to the Gods for her constant hounding or hitlisting? Or should she just get on with her life? Would you be better off keeping your head down and making a name for yourself, or coming to the streets to place a target on your back?

Truth of the mater is that people die in the mafia, and if you are afraid of death then perhaps it is not the job for you, and you would be better off taking up basket weaving or crochet?

Report Post Tips: 4 / Total: $80,000 Tip

Master_Splinter - I must take issue with some of what you have said.

"Should Kirsty pray to the Gods for her constant hounding or hitlisting? Or should she just get on with her life? Would you be better off keeping your head down and making a name for yourself, or coming to the streets to place a target on your back?"

Of the many personality defects common to those of the Kuku line, a fear of dying is not one of them.

If we cast our eyes back over the past half-dozen or so members of this bloodline, actually, none of them were bloodlined.

Kuku - preceded CommissarZverez.  His high-profile work with the Iron Bank meant that a less controversial name was required.  So Kuku retired, and allowed his son to take over.

CommissarZverez - Kuku's son, felled by the Gods, for reasons discussed else.  I don't want to talk about this, except to say they were entirely justified.

CommissarKuku - died in a duel

Wilde - Shot by his CL for stepping out of line on the Streets

Anton - Retired

Kirsty -  Alive and kicking

So, in actuality, Kuku's are not a victim of blood-lining of the sort that you are discussing here - haven't been for some time.  There are some people who show me how much I've gotten under their skin by spending huge sums on trying to have Tyler kill me, but so far, they have spent over a billion and have managed to have one shot, once, fired at me, which missed.

My BGs aren't well trained.  I can almost always be found in The Loop.  It wouldn't take them much to have a go themselves, but it's easily to imbibe and consume and remain furious about being beaten in historical fair fights.  That's their life.  It's their right to live it.

The Kuku bloodline is too steeped in glory to resort to such mundane, cowardly, soft-cock practises.  That's why I'm famous and they aren't.

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

To try to repeatedly kill you regardless of success or failure is still bloodlining in my book Kirsty. Your family constantly courts controversy wherever it goes and as you rightly say "some people who show me how much I've gotten under their skin" are repeatedly hitlisting your family in an effort to have Tyler Durden kill you. The reason for this is obvious, they fear death themselves. They know if they come to these streets and shoot you, they will die themselves. To train up a gun to kill someone with your level of Bodyguards, regardless of how well trained they are, takes time and effort, time and effort that they are not prepared to waste on killing you. Bloodlining is a form of victimisation, its why the Gods made it a sin, and whether you care to admit it or not, you are being victimised by constantly being hitlisted. Grin-07 too is being victimised for his continued protection of you. I don't doubt for 1 second that they genuinely believe you will die at the hands of Tyler Durden, but it could happen, and they will welcome that happy accident if it occurred. Their real goal is to have Chicago spend all its wealth on buying itself off the Hitlist, enabling them to create guns capable of killing our leadership and effecting a change in leadership.

They don't have the skill, numbers or Organisational skills to effect that change the hard way, the way West, Grin and others did, so they hope to catch us at a low point, when their guns are just strong enough to kill us all with a single shot. Simply put, killing you now is seen as a waste of a potential gun for the prophesied coming battle. A Battle I have no doubt that they will not live to see.

And for the record, I did not suggest you had a fear of dying, I merely inferred that you were being bloodlined ineffectually in a round about way because of the "many personality defects common to those of the Kuku line."

Report Post Tip

An ancestor of mine was one of the first names put on the "anti-terrorism treaty" which was created some years ago.  It was a form of blood-lining, and quite effective.  Until the levels of power changed.

And that's the thing.  Where once the powers-that-be killed every single Kuku they could find, now Kuku can often be found near those powers-that-be.

Had I, or my ancestors, access to the finances of these wretched hit-listers, every man Jack of my enemies would live a life of fear and panic.  Instead, I live a life of near constant narcissistic supply.  I do my thing, they demonstrate their futile, impotent resentment against me, and I get on with my day.

And, just to reiterate, because it never stops being funny, the driving force behind this obsessive behaviour is someone who's relative lost a completely fair fight with one of mine.

His entire life is currently taken up waging an hilariously ineffective campaign against me.

What a beautiful "look at me" moment you have had in the streets.  Attempting to make what is irrelevant, relevant.   Nice try Smurfette!

Pathetic.

We live in fickle world, Smurfette. The action or inaction of our ancestors play a reverberating role in generations to come for our bloodlines...for better or for worse. Likewise, unwarranted (and warranted) disdain is sometimes passed down from other mafiaso bloodlines that subsequently affect us as well. This is also true with ancestral success. A great leader in the bloodline of a current mobster does not automatically guarantee that mobster will be a great leader, though they are often afforded those opportunities to lead even when they have not earned it.

The best we can do is be ourselves, learn, grow and contribute in as many ways as we can to our family. How my actions will be interpreted today, tomorrow, ten years from now is none of my concern. I understand what you are saying and can empathize to a degree. Every bloodline has betrayed their city/crew/allies to some degree. Even if that meant sitting complacent. There are varying levels of this guilt of course, but I'd argue that every mobster that's been around these shores for some time has at least a little dirt on their name. If mobsters continue to hate you based on the actions of a distant relative several generations ago, that speaks more to their character than yours.

Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $40,000 Tip

You can only change the future by managing the present.  You might not be able to change what some people are going to think about you or your next generation - but I bet that if your lineage keeps showing up and doing the right things here - whatever transgressions your ancestors have had in the past are going to be long forgotten.  Anyone who remembers them and holds your feet to the coals probably isn't worth your time anyway.

Cheers!

I'm amazed that no one relieises that blooding lining as you are calling is against the rules of engagement here. Sad none of you seem to know this simple fact.
Report Post Tip
But it isn't. This has been brought up to the Almighty Lord Squishy and he's said its within the rules of our community.
Report Post Tip
Can confirm. Rules against blood lining are not enforced by city hall. That burden lies only with the members of organized crime and their associates.

Want my honest opinion?

Bloodlining has been a thing for many years now. It will always be a thing, do I agree with it not necessarily,

Is it justified probably.

I am not talking about you in particular but as a general.

People on these streets often make friends and also enemies.

The enemies of people parents often is passed down to their kin.

If you are concerned for the lives of your family and yourself. You take action, even if that person may or may not have been planning to do something.

There is a saying and it sounds like this

Better safe than sorry

If you cant prevail because they keep killing you stop letting them know who you are?
