Well done young/old man/woman for making it here. You truly are blessed with the skills required to make it as one of the all time greats at basketball.
The finals are a two stage competition.
Stage 1
First the seven of you are whittled down to four.
- In the same way that you qualified for this, you will be given two opportunities to score as many three point attempts as possible. The two attempts are cumulative. (You will be supplied with 5 tops bets of $10k dollars. If you have blocked betting, simply nominate someone to take the shots on your behalf. As in the qualifying contest, your result will be dependent on the output of your bets however there will be a skill component applied based on the qualifying results/relative strength of the city you have qualified from. Relative strength is based on the number of people entering for your city.)
- The four highest scores go through to the final playoff where they are ranked based on the final scores.
Stage 2
The final four play off in a series of 1 on 1 games:
- Player 1 v Player 4
- Player 2 v Player 3
The two winners play off to determine who wins and comes second, the losers play off to determine third and fourth places.
- Both players are supplied with a bet. You tell me how much effort you want to put in to try to win the point and the winner is decided.
- Repeated until one player gets to three points.
Winner - $15 million*
Second Place - $5 million*
Third Place - $2 million*
*Minimum prize money. Any leftovers from the original city entries will be added into the total prize fund.
**Death of me while the competition is underway may result in the postponement of the contest and the return of the entry fees will be endeavoured.
